2 Redlands Flyball would like to welcome all competitors to the annual Redlands on Fire competition and we thank you for supporting our competition. Our Officials for today are: Judges: Timekeepers: Jo Slade Tim Slade Mike McChesney Paul Newman AFA Representative: Virginia Festing Comp Organiser: Raffle Coordinator: Melinda Meuleman Irina Michel At this competition we are honouring the spectacular flyball career that one of our recently Retired flyball dogs has had, Lizzy. Lizzy started her career in 2001 as a young Kelpie cross competing in many Division 1 teams. Lizzy and Keith found their niche as start dog and handler, with the two combining to be one of the best combinations in Qld. How they came to be start dog and handler is a source of amusement for Keith, who often tells the stories of Lizzy returning with a tuft of the earlier dog s fur as well as her ball. Even as Lizzy got on in years, Keith would be able to get her through those lights at just the right time, earning a start badge at this competition last year at the tender age of 15! Congratulations on your fantastic flyball career Lizzy, and all the best in your retirement, no doubt spent following Di around the kitchen hoping for a few scraps to fall off the bench (since we all know how well Lizzy can sniff out a treat from 50m)!

3 In honour of Lizzy s retirement, we have re-named our teams for this competition: Burn n Bolt Lizzy s Time to Bolt Turn n Burn Lizzy s Loyal Apprentices Housekeeping We share our grounds with the Redlands Cricket Club, please ensure you do not walk on the cricket pitch area. Gazebos can only be set up along the fence line, there is to be no gazebos on the cricket field. The fields are not a designated off lead area so all dogs should be kept on lead unless in the racing ring. The Champions Trophy winners will receive a parcel of Supercoat dog food for each member together with a trophy for the team. We have also asked our judges to select a recipient that they think excelled during the competition

6 AFA Approved Count Back Rules Count back is based first on head to head RACE wins during competition (where more than two teams are tied the count back for each team shall be the total RACE wins scored against all the teams that are tied (the combined number of wins)); if two teams are still even the teams are compared on head to head heats; if two teams are still even then fastest heat time head to head decides the winner. Training in the Ring Time has been allocated to each dog that has pre-registered, please see the schedule at the back of this catalogue for your dogs assigned time.
