Is offering the three-point major for Reserve Winners Dog and Reserve Winners Bitch according to the Rules Applying to Dog Shows Chapter 16 Section 1. NON-REGULAR CLASSES: Multiple Dog Entries (NATIONAL ONLY) Stud Dog Class - For Stud Dogs and their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. Get only to be judged based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Get must be entered in a Regular Class, Best of Breed Competition or some other Non-Regular Class. Brood Bitch Class - Same as Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. NOTE FOR BOTH: The Stud Dog/Brood Bitch may be entered separately in regular classes not of a Champion of Record in Best of Breed Competition at the regular entry fee of $ with Stud Dog/Brood Bitch Class indicated on the entry form in the space for Additional Classes with the additional fee of $ The Get/Produce MUST be entered and shown individually in one of the regular classes or Best of Breed Competition. There is no additional entry fee for the Get/Produce as participants with their Stud Dog/Brood Bitch. 5

6 Brace - This class shall be for two German Wirehaired Pointer, irrespective of sex, similar in appearance, performing in unison with at least one common owner and presented in the ring with no more than two handlers. The dogs comprising the Brace must be named at the time of the entry. Entry forms must be submitted for each dog and submitted to the Show Secretary at one time. The entry fee is $ for the pair, if this is the only class in which they are entered. Specify Brace Only in the space for Dog Show Class. If a dog that is part of a Brace is entered in a regular class, specify Brace Class in the Additional Classes. If more than one Brace is entered by the same owner(s) the dogs comprising one Brace must be designated - Brace No1", Brace No2" etc. Junior Showmanship Each Dog entered must be of the breed for which this show is held Novice Junior Novice Intermediate Novice Senior Master Open Junior Open Intermediate Open Senior Junior Showmanship Competition Junior Handlers must include their AKC Junior Handler identification number on the entry blank. You may obtain your number by calling AKC Event Records Department (919) Novice Junior Class: For Boys & Girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have not won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Intermediate Class: For Boys & Girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have not won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Senior Class: For Boys & Girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have not won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Junior Class: For Boys & Girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition. Open Intermediate Class: For Boys & Girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition. Open Senior Class: For Boys & Girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition. MASTER CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won ten First Places, with competition present, in an Open Class at a licensed or member show. The calendar for this class will be November 1 - October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry without charge, the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. 7 Puppy Sweepstakes Sweepstakes is open to German Wirehaired Pointer that are 6 months and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. Dogs shown in Sweepstakes must be entered in one of the regular classes. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided for Additional Class. Anyone in good standing with the AKC may handle an entry. Sweepstakes Classes Classes will be divided by sex. 6-9 months 9-12 months months months Veteran Sweepstakes (National ONLY) Sweepstakes is open to German Wirehaired Pointer that are over 7 years of age on the day of the show. The remaining 65% will be divided as follows: Best in Sweepstakes - 20% Best of Opposite Sex - 10% First Place - 15% Third Place - 5% Second Place - 7.5% Fourth Place - 2.5% Futurity All dogs entered in the Futurity must be owned & co-owned by a member of the German Wirehaired Pointer Club of America. All dogs must be entered in a regular class a the GWPCA National Specialty show. Futurity Classes Classes will be divided by sex. Junior Class - Whelped on or after December 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018 Intermediate Class - Whelped on or after August 1, 2017 through November 30, 2017 Senior Class - Whelped on or after April 1, 2017 through July 31, 2017 Division of Futurity Prize Money Actual expenses will be deducted from the Futurity money. The remainder will be divided as follows: Best in Futurity % Best of Opposite Sex % First Place % Each winner s share will be further divided - 60% to the Owner; 40% to Breeder/Nominator Maturity Classes will be divided by sex 2018 Maturity eligible dogs are those from litters whelped between April 1, 2016 & March 31, 2017 Dogs must be owned & bred by GWPCA members. Dogs must be properly nominated & renominated. Entry fee is $ Write in Additional Entry space on entry form. Division of Maturity Prize Money Actual expenses will be deducted from the Maturity money. The Four to Six Month Puppy competition shall be for the German Wirehaired Pointer that are four months of age & over but under six months on the day of the competition. 2. AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for entry. 3. All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian s protocol. Puppy of Achievement points will be awarded. Amateur Owner Handler Sweepstakes Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog & is limited to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a professional dog handler or received compensation to show a dog, an AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. All pertinent AKC rules apply to the offered classes, with the addition that dogs must meet the above eligibility requirements. No championship points are awarded in this non-regular competition. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and photocopies of the entry without the Agreement and Rules from the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Errors on Entry Blanks: Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Show-giving Club, Show Secretary, their agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or any of their dogs, or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children under the control of parents or guardians. A recording fee of.50 cents and an event fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or Member Club, Show, Obedience Trial, or Tracking Test. This fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to AKC. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the fee is collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2) All dogs must be held on leash except when in the exercise area or crated. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. No entry shall be made or accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Judging schedule and map to the show site will be available as soon as possible after the closing of entries. Limited cool water Bathing facilities will be provided at show grounds. OBEDIENCE & RALLY Transfers are accepted at this trial. Please note: January 1, 2009 Obedience Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 3, Jump Heights required with entry. Include Jump Height on entry form with class. Entries without Jump Height will be judged at the end of the class. All classes will be descending jump heights. 11
