1 Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue Advocating humane and healthy practices for animals in the Jaltemba area by promoting health, education, sterilization, adoptions, foster care and positive relationships with animals and their owners. December 2006 to November 2011: During this time, there were 11 clinics and more than 2,301 animals spayed or neutered in the Jaltemba Bay Area! Clinic Update: WOW, what a clinic! A total of 232 animals were brought in to the clinic (141 dogs and 90 cats) with a total of 214 animals sterilized (125 dogs and 89 cats). Consultations included 6 animals plus one parrot with a tumor. There were 15 animals adopted out including the 10 lucky dogs sent back to Canada with the McKenzie team from Victoria. Here are some photos of them leaving for Victoria.

Total cost of the clinic including the $17,000 paid for the Mobile Medical Team from PEACE and the $2,500 paid to vets was $24,125. The total number of animals received was 232 with 214 animals sterilized with a cost per animal of $ pesos or less than $10.00 CAD per animal. Our Volunteers (over 75 of you!) are our angels who lovingly looked after the animals in our clinic. Without these dedicated people, our clinic would not be possible. They make great Christmas gifts! All proceeds are donated to JBAR. Breakfast Brunch at Tiffany's Cafe: Tom and Paul are offering Sunday Brunch at their El Panorama B&B Villa every Sunday, and donating 10% of the proceeds to the Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue (JBAR). Brunch is served at 10 a.m. on the back terrace and includes homemade quiche, bacon, toasted bagels, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, glass of cranberry juice, and a cup of coffee. YUMMY!!
