A lovely atmosphere today at a friendly show run by Jane and team, so thanks for the kind invite. I was joined by Anna McEntee who was fabulous company and is an excellent attentive and organised steward! AC BRITISH GR CH ADULT MALE IMP GR CH: HUTCHINSON S GR CH MAKRISSNIC SPONGEBOB (BSH a) 2YRS 4MTHS. He is a good sized lad, in his summer look today. He has a big broad head with very good with across his gently rounded top of head between medium sized well-set ears. The head rounds to fat jowls just tapering very slightly at the muzzle. He has large well opened and rounded gold eyes set well apart a short broad nose, nice and straight. Level bite and chin I d just like a tad deeper for utmost balance. Large well muscled weighty body, good breadth at the chest, just a mite lean, typically for the season at the flanks standing on short, strong well boned legs and big rounded paws. Balanced tail with a rounded tip. Ideally, his coat could be a mite shorter, seasonal density, he likes the sun too? almost totally sound to the roots, just a little silvered at the tips. I gather this made him up to Imperial Grand today. Congratulations AC BRITISH GR CH ADULT FEMALE IMP GR CH: SUTTON S GR CH LEKATI SHE S A DREAM (BSH g 03) 2yrs 3mths. Pretty girl, maturing nicely since last seen. Nicely rounded skull with breadth at the cheeks, well-rounded top of head with good width between just under medium sized ears set well. Large rounded deep gold, expressive eyes set well apart a short straight broad nose, bite is level, chin firm. Pleasing muscular body showing breadth of chest and at the flanks, a fraction long in body for absolute perfection, stands on strong well boned legs ending in neat round paws. Tail is a good length and shows both colours of blue and cream, slightly ringed. Her coat is short and quite dense for the time of year with a firm texture. The blue is mid toned and just pales at the roots, the cream is a mix of pale and slightly warm, especially where there is ghost pattern. The patching is well prepared, good demarcation, well distributed over the body with white offset blaze to the face, white on chin, chest and legs and along the tummy all making up well over the minimum 1/3 rd white to colour and does not exceed the maximum 1/5. AC EXOTIC CHAMPION FEMALE GR CH: FISHER S CH OWLETTS AEMELIA (EXO f 22) 2yrs 6mths. Very nice balance to this pretty lass who has a lovely broad and well-rounded full cheeked skull with a smooth top of head between small round tipped ears, just a wee bit wide at base. Expressive orange, well-rounded bold, eyes set well apart a snub nose with reasonable leather and nostrils. Slightly untidy bite, good firm chin and strength of muzzle. Pleasing weight and muscular feel to her cobby body, nice breadth of chest and at the flanks and stands low on short well-boned legs ending in neat round paws. Not bad density for the time of year, feels quite plush and shows lovely overlay of varying shades of red on a super brown agouti ground with black markings, very striking pattern and colours. Super oysters and necklaces and facials.
AC SELKIRK REX CHAMPION ADULT GR CH NOT AWARDED: COLLINS CH DINOZO SHILLANA 1yr 5mths. A good-sized lad looking immature and out of sorts for his age. His head has very good width at the cheeks and is correctly wider than long, however his muzzle really should be a medium width and well-padded but I m afraid it isn t when you look at the actual underlying bone structure. He has correct ears that are wide at the base set into the rounded contours, showing inner furnishings and has curls behind the ears, but the top of head in-between is slightly flatter than ideal. His eyes are nicely rounded and show a sweet expression, set well apart a short broad downward slanting nose, level bite but shallow chin, so the chin and muzzle needs more width and depth to show the prominence needed for this breed. He has a rectangular body that shows good muscle tone and is a good weight supported by medium length well boned legs ending in rounded paws. His coat is very short and I forgave this to a degree as it s a summer coat, but it is also lacking density to enable it to stand away so it lays flatter than ideal. The coat he has shows some good waves, very little ruff around the neck or plumes to the tail. AC EXOTIC SH TABBY OR TABBY & WHITE CONSIDERED FOR AND BOB AWARDED TO: FISHER S CH OWLETTS AEMELIA (see grand report) AC TABBY/SMOKE/CAMEO & WHITE KITTEN 1 ST & BOB DASHWOOD S PERSILUS OFFICER DIBBLE (PER n 03 22) Male. Brown Classic Tabby & White. Stunning little chap I see went on to win Best Persian Kitten, so well deserved. Excellent breadth of head with good width and promising strength to his muzzle and excellent fullness of cheek. Small ears set well apart a smooth top, fraction wide at the base, super long internal furnishings. Super, large & expressive muddy copper brown eyes, promising depth of colour to come, set well apart a short broad nose of uniform width, good broad stop, good fullness of leather and width to nostrils. His bite is nice and broad and just slightly under with acceptable depth to his chin. He has very nice balance of head to body which is cobby and shows breadth at the chest and flanks and feels solid and of good weight standing on short well- boned legs ending in lovely fat rounded and rather big paws! Short kitten like tail with some long guard hairs. He wears a typical mid length kitten coat for length and density, it s nice and fine and it looked like every hair had been groomed, super presentation and behind the ears too! I loved his split face of angled tabby and white, he is coloured across his face and both ears and below the eyes but angle off diagonally on each cheek below the eyes towards the outer sides of his face with lower half white with a broad white blaze up the nose onto the forehead that separates the colour between and above the eyes and nose. He has a full broad white collar with tummy, legs and thighs. He has elements of black classic markings on a really lovely warm brown agouti ground consisting of an M to forehead, has pencilling on his cheeks, some feint lines running over the neck, a couple of faint rings to his fully coloured tail and he does show oysters, in part, on each side, spine line wasn t too clearly defined, but there was some evidence. He handled beautifully under my close inspection and I see he went on to win Best Persian Kitten, very well deserved and congratulations. AC SIBERIAN KITTEN
1 ST & BOB NUTELY S SNOWWITCH SIOLU-ROXY (SIB n o3 24) Brown Spotty & white beautiful baby of recently judged as a little baby and she is growing and developing really well! she has a lovely short broad wedge with good rounding to her contours; very good width at the cheekbones that are set low and she has a slightly rounded muzzle with good development of whisker pads for her age already and chin of good depth too. Very good width across her rounded top of head between medium sized, wide based ears, nicely rounded at the tips and set wide apart with good inner furnishings. In profile just to nit-pick she is very slightly flat above the brow. Her eyes are very expressive, obliquely set, slightly oval shaped and set wide apart. Nose is short and broad and straight of uniform width, showing a good break. She has a broad level bite. Lovely weight and substance to her well-developed body, solid feel about her and she has really excellent bone to the medium length legs. Excellent top coat to give resilience over the dense undercoat which is nice and soft and very well prepared for the show, the coat was lovely and full; of medium length with a nice ruff developing. Wonderful time waster of a kitten who just sat there in our arms ( my steward and I shared her!) as she made bread all the time. Many congratulations indeed on being Best Semi- Longhair kitten at this tender age. RED BSH ADULT 1 ST CC & BOB McCONNELL S ALPHABERRY BORIS BECKER (BSH d) 1yr 2 weeks. Aptly named! Typical adolescent lad of a good size who needs to fill out his frame. Good breadth of head and cheeks, just tapers a mite at the muzzle. Very good width across his rounded top between just under medium sized ears that are round tipped and show deep red thumbprints. Large, almost fully rounded, pale orange eyes of pleasing expression set wide apart; short broad deep pink nose, level bite and chin. Slightly long and tall body wise but has good muscle tone and bone to legs ending in large fat round paws. Tail is broad at base and balanced in length with numerous rings. His coat is reasonably short and firm to touch and shows good density for this time of year. Interestingly, he shows a ticked tabby pattern rather than the usual spotted shadow pattern or more uncommon classic pattern. He pales at the chin and has spots on his tummy. The tone of the red is deep and he has almost a scarab on his head in deep red too. BSH BLUE ADULT Male CONSIDERED FOR BOB: HUTCHINSON S GR CH MAKRISSNIC SPONGEBOB ( see Imp Gr Ch report) BSH BLUE ADULT FEMALE 1 ST CC & BOB LARCOMBE S POSITIVELY JUNO 1yr 3mths Slightly grumpy but rather gorgeous! Good breadth and rounding to her head with fairly small round tipped ears set very well apart, just a wee bit open at the base though to nit pick, super large round orange eyes, short straight broad nose, good rounding to muzzle lines and fat cheeks. Good balance. Level bite and firm chin. Close coupled cobby body of very nice breadth of chest and flanks, standing 4 square on thick short legs and fat round paws. Broad based tail ending in a rounded tip. Thick short crisp coat, a shade or two darker blue than my own preference and its actually almost sound to the roots with very minimal silvering, the blue is nice and even just apart from a few very slight small ghost spots. Super type and balance. My choice for Best British Adult too.
AC BSH GOLDEN TIPPED ADULT CONSIDERED FOR AND BOB AWARDED TO: COLEMAN S ABALUKI BETHA BY GOLLYWOW (BSH ny 12) 1yr 5mths. Pretty lass albeit rather small for my liking, she is balanced. Coat is a trifle long and shows a mantle of ticked and tipped pattern. AC SELKIRK REX ADULT BOB NOT AWARDED TO: COLLINS CH DINOZO SHILLANA DEVON REX KITTEN MALE 1 st HOBSON-KELLY S NOBILERO VINCENZOH NIBALIIi (DRX d) MN 6,ths 1 week. He has a reasonably short fairly broad wedge with just slight rounding at the muzzle I would prefer to be a trifle stronger. Flat skull between his large ears, set nice and wide apart with slight muffs behind the ear base which is and nice and wide too. In profile he has a reasonably defined whisker break, his muzzle is just slightly rounded with his chin showing reasonable depth but, in profile, slopes back. Bite is level. His eyes are oval shaped and they are set nice and wide apart a reasonably short nose with a fair break in profile. He has short stubbly straight whiskers and cute wavy eyebrows. His body has a nice and firm and muscular feel, broad chest and legs slender with oval paws. Tail a good length and is covered well, but has slightly harsh guard hairs at the base of his tail. His coat is short and quite dense with closely set ripples on parts of his body and sides, some guard hairs through the coat just affecting its texture in part so it isn t quite soft, especially down the centre of the back, sides have a softer feel. He is a tad sparse around the neck, he has some close waves on his shoulders and sides, less down the centre of the back. No points for colour but he shows a pleasing rich red shade to his coat. Lovely nature to him. DEVON REX FEMALE 1 ST & BOB RANKIN S MAYSTAREX REGINA GLORIANA (DRX j 03 33) F 8mths 1 week. She has a short broad head with high cheekbones; flat skull between large quite wide based ears, she did tend to hold them higher at times, but once settle back in her pen they did sit slightly better. They are covered in fine fur and have short muffs behind the base. She has excellent width across her cheeks showing quite a good whisker break and the wedge tapers to a moderately broad muzzle with very short stubbly whiskers. Her chin of medium depth is almost level in profile and she has a level bite. Viewed from the side her forehead is flat & she has a quite a good stop. Her pale blue eyes are large, oval in shape & set on a slight slant towards the ears she has a good cheeky expression. A well grown girl of 5 months, she has a firm muscular body with broad chest, straight back, elegant legs ending in small oval paws & a balanced tail tapering to the tip. Her coat is short, already showing good density & soft texture, with pleasing rippled effect to most areas. Well presented & a pleasure to handle.
