Trish Maclsaac Thank you to everyone who has adopted an animals and given them a new and better Ufe. When you adopt you actually save 2 lives, the Ufe of the animal you adopt which then opens up a space for another animal to be brought in for adoption. If you have adopted an animal from HS CAR we would love an update with a picture on how they are doing in their new home. MichelAngelo - now Bernie Bernie is doing great. He is such a cuddle bug when he's sleepy, and has the cutest, most fun personality when he's awake. He makes us laugh every single day. He has kept Crash very busy wanting to play all the time, so it's been great exercise for him. As you can see, they are great buddies. KelU We love those happy endings.

Selecting Your Second Dog: Go to www.barkbusters.com for more information Temperament - Select a breed and temperament that will complement your resident dog. Remember, temperament has nothing to do with a dog*s size, breed or upbringing - temperament is something innate in a dog. If you have an energetic dog, chose a second dog that is also energetic, so the two can keep up with each other. If you have an older or laid-back dog, avoid getting an exuberant puppy or a very active breed. Gender - Selecting therightgender can make a difference in ensuring household harmony. Generally, dogs of the opposite sex make the best pairing for pets. Depending on the individual dogs, two males will also generally get along. However, two females is the most likely combination to result in disharmony. What ever the gender, spay/neuter your dogs. A spay/neutered dog is generally more easygoing with both humans and other dogs. Never leave new dogs while they are getting acquainted, the situation can change suddenly.
