SHEEP SECTION Special Regulations Applying to Sheep Section in Addition to General Society Rules 1. Maedi-Visna Accredited Flocks Scheme- Facilities for Accredited and Non-scheme animals of all breeds will be provided. The status of animals must be indicated on the entry form. A valid Certificate of Accreditation (SAC Form) must accompany Accredited Sheep and be presented to Society Officials before unloading. Please include a blank copy of this certificate with your entry form. Separate loading/unloading facilities will be provided. Appropriate measures must be taken by exhibitors to prevent M.V. Scheme sheep from any contact with sheep that could compromise the health status of MC Accredited sheep. Exhibitors must ensure that all sheep are transported and exhibited in accordance with current Defra regulations. 2. Scrapie Monitoring This is a Defra approved show for scrapie-monitored sheep. The show will be approved as a scrapie-monitored event. It is a condition of entry that stock being exhibited is not pregnant, has not aborted or lambed within the thirty days prior to the show, and has not been subject to procedures which alter the breeding season. 3. Dipping Exhibitors are responsible for complying with Dipping Regulations in force at the time of the Show, and MUST produce any necessary certification to Society Officials. 4. Docking The Mutilation (Permitted Procedures) (England) Regulations 2009 detail that in all cases sheep must have enough of the tail retained to cover the vulva of female sheep and the anus of male sheep. Any sheep which does not comply with the aforementioned legislation will not be eligible to be shown in the judging ring. 5. FMD Biosecurity - It is a condition of entry that exhibitors comply with DEFRA requirements and the show s biosecurity plan. Details will be issued to exhibitors with entry tickets and passes. Showground holding no: 24/108/8000 6. Entry Fees - Classes 1-47: 3.50 per entry. Championship Classes: no entry fee. 7. Tickets and passes will be sent immediately prior to show. 10. Judging: All judging will take place on Sunday 26th July, commencing at 9.30 am (Lincoln Longwool only) and 10.00 am (all other breeds). 11. Ownership of Entries: Entries must be the bona fide property of exhibitors at the date of entry. Exhibitors should attend with animals on judging day only, unless overnight arrangements are made with the Hon. Sheep Secretary. - 1 -

Special Regulations Applying to Cattle Section in Addition to General Society Rules 1. Brucellosis and Tuberculosis Order At the date of entry and date of Show, all cattle must be from herds which are free from restrictions imposed under the Tuberculosis Order 1984 and the Brucellosis (England) Order 2000. Additionally animals entered for the Show must not themselves be under individual restrictions. Any animal entered for this Show must not be brought to the Show if, after entry, either it, or the herd to which it belongs, become subject to movement restrictions RESTRICTIONS No animal likely to calve during the period of the Show may be exhibited. When an animal calves prematurely or aborts this animal should be placed in isolation in the approved premises and the DVO informed immediately. The animal must be returned home TOGETHER WITH ALL OTHER SHOW ANIMALS FROM THE SAME REGISTERED PREMISES after a full range of samples (including if possible a placental smear) has been taken. The suspect animal must be isolated during transit. 2. FMD Biosecurity. It is a condition of entry that exhibitors comply with DEFRA regulations and the show s biosecurity plan.
