All Sheep Exhibitors are requested to note that the Show will accept entries from flocks in the Scheme. Separate accommodation and unloading/loading points will be provided for both categories. Non-scheme and Scheme Sheep must travel to and from the Show in separate transport. If any Scheme Sheep come into close contact with Sheep of a lower Scheme Category, it must, on return to its own or other Scheme premises, assume the status of the contact sheep. Generally, this will require isolation and testing at 6-9 monthly intervals until the status is regained. Scheme Sheep may only be allowed in Show Rings with Non-Scheme Sheep for brief periods of time provided nose to nose contact is prevented either by leading sheep on a collar or halter or ensuring at least two metres separation is maintained at all times. Provided that these requirements are followed Scheme Sheep will not lose their status and will not require post movement testing on return. Scheme Sheep being presented at Shows must be accompanied by a certificate stating the
number and type of sheep. These certificates are available from SAC and must be presented to either the official Veterinary Surgeon or the Show Secretary or his nominee before the sheep are unloaded into the accommodation provided for the Scheme Sheep. Exhibitors please remember to complete the box in the top right hand corner of the entry form which asks whether or not you are entering scheme sheep. It will be assumed that at least 2 sheep will be allocated the same pen. Entries Close: 31 st May, 2018 Late entries and telephone entries will not be accepted.
