2018 SUMMARY OF EVENTS Currently Available for Sponsorship Throughout the year, the Oregon Humane Society holds a number of annual events, as well as unique special events. We welcome invitations from businesses to participate in their events. While we wish we could participate in all events, we must balance availability with maximizing our finite resources. Each of these events helps raise money to support all of the programs and community services provided by OHS. Your sponsorship helps the community OHS relies 100% on private donations/receives no tax dollars OHS finds homes for more than 11,000 pets annually, including 1000s from overwhelmed shelters in Oregon, Washington and California Our Humane Officers investigate 1,000 cruelty complaints each year Over 2,000 volunteers support OHS and contribute the equivalent of over 100 full time employees OHS uses donor dollars wisely. (Check us out on www.charity Navigator.org) Each year, OHS inspires over 17,000 children with our values-based educational program inspiring the next generation to be responsible, respectful and compassion through programs like summer camps, after-school clubs, youth volunteer programs and targeted in-school programs Do you know the top four reasons community-minded businesses support OHS? 1. The company supports what OHS does and how OHS does it; OHS is effective, efficient and innovative! 2. Increase bottom line, 3. DIAMOND COLLAR AWARDS Heroes Luncheon The Multnomah Athletic Club February OHS celebrates animals and animal lovers who are true heroes at a weekday luncheon at the MAC Club to recognize and honor animals who have acted to save a human or animal life in peril, performed services within the community with undying loyalty, or overcome incredible odds in order to survive. Winners can also be individuals and companies who have had a positive impact on the lives of animals, exhibiting courage and compassion in the pursuit of animals well-being. The event is open to the public; tickets are $75. OHS major donors (individuals and businesses) receive invitations. Sponsorship Investment Options: $1,000 - $10,000 2

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY Red Lion Hotel March An annual tradition, OHS s volunteers are honored each year for their continuing commitment to make the Northwest s largest shelter a place where animals and people Feel the Love. As Sharon Harmon, OHS Executive Director says, The dedication of our volunteers never ceases to amaze me. In addition to outstanding volunteer awards, we give special recognition for Volunteer of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Volunteer s Choice and Feel the Love. The demographic of the 2000+ OHS volunteers is similar to that of the OHS major donors. (See page 1) Sponsorship Investment Options: $10,000 - $1,000 3

DOGGIE DASH: Walk, Run, Be a Hero Tom McCall Waterfront Park Saturday, May 12, 2018 Oregon s biggest party for pets and people aims to raise a record $650,000 for pets in need! All proceeds benefit the pets at OHS. Join with thousands of animal loves at Waterfront Park to celebrate the 31st annual OHS Doggie Dash. We ll walk/run with our dogs on car-free streets and enjoy music, food, contests and more. Everyone is welcome, with or without a furry friend. Walk. Run. Be a Hero! Doggie Dash is our largest consumer event of the year drawing 8-10,000 animal lovers -- and it s our biggest fundraiser. ALSO Corporate Teams are a great way to support the Oregon Humane Society! PUG CRAWL Portland Brewing Company Taproom May This zany event, featuring a Pug Costume Contest, is an annual fundraiser for the Oregon Humane Society at Portland Brewing Company Taproom. An increasingly popular event among Portlanders, Pug Crawl features costumed Pugs paraded by their owners down a one-block route. The winners of the Costume Contest will be crowned King and Queen at the end of the parade. The event includes vendors and exhibitors, including pug-related merchandise for pets and people, a photo booth, OHS dogs available for adoption, fun raffle prizes and more! All breeds and ages of dogs and humans are welcome to attend. With a new and different theme each year, the event draws in both new and returning attendees that are excited by the challenge of creating a new pug costume each year. In 2017 the event saw over 2,000 people. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 day of. Sponsorship Investment Options: May be included as a thank you for other sponsorships. 5

TAIL WAG: Summer Evening Soiree July Our guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d oeuvres by the reflecting pool, followed by a sumptuous northwest dinner in the stunning gardens. We ll support the animals with a paddle raise and end with more puppies and kitten tails! After the dinner and program, the evening will unfold with live music, dancing and engaging activities, including a silent auction and lawn games under the stars. Guests are also invited to bring their well-behaved dogs to this event, where we ll offer gourmet treats, play time and napping for tuckered-out canines. Tickets are $200 each. CANINES UNCORKED Wine tasting with your furry friend 16 participating wineries August A select group of 16 Oregon wineries invite wine lovers and their pooches to enjoy the most unusual wine event of the year. The sixth annual Canines Uncorked wine tour is extra special because for one day a year, dogs are invited to join their humans for a day s outing. On Canines Uncorked Day, your Licenses to Taste passport includes free tastings and dog activities at each winery. All wineries are located in the North Willamette Valley, one of Oregon s premier wine-growing regions. Your passport and map makes it easy to enjoy a leisurely afternoon of visiting beautiful vineyards with your best friend, gaining you access to complimentary tastings the entire month. This event is advertised and marketed through OHS social media platforms, printed materials, the OHS Pet Dish e-newsletter (with 110,000 opt-in subscribers), and an annual press release. This event sees approximately 400 participants. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 day of. Group tickets are available. Sponsorship Investment Options: $2,500 - $500 7

Mutts on the Mountain Mount Hood Meadows August The Oregon Humane Society invites all outdoor-loving people and dogs to the first annual Mutts on the Mountain. The event, located at Mount Hood Meadows, is an outdoor festival with fun for people of all ages. Guests can relax on the beautiful mountainside and listen to live music, enjoy food and tasty beverages, and peruse vendor booths. Special festival activities include doggie sno-cones, dog collar decorating, cooling station, photo booth, beer and wine garden, and more. Guests and their dogs can also explore the mountain; there are three self-guided hiking trails open to people and their dogs. All event proceeds will benefit the animals at the Oregon Humane Society (OHS). This event is advertised and marketed through OHS and Meadows web and social media platforms, printed materials, the OHS e-newsletters (with 110,000+ opt-in subscribers) and Meadows e-blast, and media releases. Sponsorship investment opportunities from $500 - $2,500. Or ask about in-kind sponsorships and product donations. 8

FUR FEST Youth Volunteer Appreciation Party Oregon Humane Society September Fur Fest recognizes and thanks the kids (12-17 years old) who over the course of the year - have given of themselves and their time to help the animals. Last year, nearly 400 kids volunteered, giving over 13,700 hours of their time. Youth Volunteers agree to treat all animals and people with respect; be kind, compassionate and use positive reinforcement methods; conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner; be punctual; and be ready, willing and able to be a hard-worker. Fur Fest is an opportunity to honor and reward the stellar youth and encourage them to become compassionate and responsible adults. Sponsorship range from $1,500 - $100 and will be used to underwrite costs and purchase gift cards for prizes. 9

BE KIND TO ANIMALS POSTER & STORY CONTEST (K-8) September December & A CAT EMY AWARDS Oregon Humane Society January Students K 8 from throughout Oregon and Clark County Washington are invited to either create a poster or write a short story portraying a part of the Oregon Humane Society's mission. Each grade level has a theme for the poster contest and the story contest. These contests are not just about pretty pictures or silly stories; thoughtful expressions of the themes are rewarded. Winners will be invited to the A cat emy Awards in January. TELETHON TO END PETLESSNESS Oregon Humane Society & Phone Bank at TV Station October The OHS Telethon is our major fund raising event each fall. Instead of a four-hour broadcast on a Sunday afternoon as we have done in the past, in 2015 we switched to the all-day broadcast (5 AM 11:30 PM in 2015, with great success! We had our best Telethon ever! The Telethon broadcast allows us to reach the largest and broadest demographic of animal lovers of any of our annual events. We are excited to announce the opportunity for businesses to join with other businesses in giving circles, and other sponsorship options. Sponsor benefits include challenges, check presentations and phone bank options. Sponsorship Investment Options: $30,000 - $1,000 11

ISLAND OF CHI WAII A Hawaiian escape for little dogs Dog Days October Escape from the cold and rainy Portland weather to a Chihuahua*-filled island oasis. This Hawaiian themed adventure features an indoor off-leash play area where small breed dogs are free to play and socialize with other small dogs. Island music and fun games for your dog will help you enjoy your island getaway, forgetting the rainy day outside. Sip on tropical cocktails, enjoy Hawaiian cuisine, and peruse Vendor Ala to pick up some new goodies. Looking for some mâlie time, head over to the Dog Days Café for some coffee, beer or wine. The event will be held at Dog Days, a new doggie daycare and hotel located in the popular Clinton-Division neighborhood. Tickets are $5 per dog or person. *All small breed dogs are welcome to attend. 100% of proceeds go to support the animals at the Oregon Humane Society. Noche De Los Gatos Space TBA November The Oregon Humane Society takes a spin on Día de los Muertos, a Mexican celebration of life that teaches us to enjoy and appreciate every moment. Noche de los Gatos, or Night of the Cats, is a celebration of the furry feline friends of our lives past, present and future. The 2016 masquerade ball was located in the modern Lagunitas Event Space and saw over 100 cat-loving guests. At the event guests are encouraged to wear their favorite cat-themed mask, or decorate one at the Meowsquerade booth and enter the Costume and Catitude contest. During the event enjoy beer, wine, sangria and delicious tapas. Meet cat related vendors and artists, enter for a chance to win raffle prizes and dance the night away with friends, including musical guest and cat rapper, Moshow. This event is advertised and marketed through OHS social media platforms, printed materials, the OHS Pet Dish e-newsletter (with 110,000 opt-in subscribers) and a media release. SANTA PAWS Eight Fred Meyer Stores in the Portland metro area November It s almost time to deck the halls, and what better way than with a photograph of you and your pet with jolly St. Nick? Santa is coming to several Fred Meyer locations for the annual Santa Paws Pet Portraits event. Cats, dogs, and other pets can pose with Santa to whisper their wishes and have a great holiday picture taken. All family members are welcome in the photo. $20 covers the sitting fee, two professional 5x7 portraits, a holiday card and a copy of the images. Best of all, the proceeds benefit the animals at the Oregon Humane Society. Fred Meyer locations include: Beaverton, Gateway, Hawthorne, Hollywood, Jonson Creek, Oregon City, Raleigh Hills & Sunset. More than 600 families come for this special tradition. WILLAMETTE WEEK GIVE@GUIDE In WW Give!Guide publication + online November December Each year OHS applies to be included in the Willamette Week s Give!Guide, which showcases small, medium and large organizations. In ten years, G!G has raised nearly $10 million for hundreds of local nonprofits. Last year, WW readers gave $2,452,333 to 129 Portland organizations; over $45,000 was donated to OHS! One of the goals of the Give!Guide is to encourage people age 18-35 to get involved in philanthropy. (If young people begin supporting non-profit organizations at a young age, even at smaller levels, they are likely to continue to give as they get older, and the amount of their support is likely to grow with their incomes.) OHS is seeking a corporate partner(s) who will be recognized in the Give!Guide publications which is included inside Willamette Week during the first week of November. HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS TV Commercials + at OHS in-shelter marketing November December Our holiday wish every pet in the shelter as of December 1st will be in their new home by New Year s Day. Your business can be a part of this effort to find homes for lovable cats, dogs and various companion animals. KATU will promote the availability of adoptable animals heavily during December via commercial spots on KATU and KATU.com. H4H TV spots will be seen by a broad demographic of animal lovers. OHS will promote Home for the Holidays and our sponsors via in-shelter marketing. For a variety of reasons, December is a high foot-traffic month. Sponsorship Investment Options: $5,000 each 16

SNUGGLE EXPRESS Local participating businesses December What better way to melt your holiday stress away than with puppies and kittens! During Snuggle Express, a fleet of vehicles, provided by Oregon City Subaru, will bring a cargo of cuddly kittens and precious puppies to select businesses in the Portland metro area during the height of the December holiday season. Each Snuggle Express delivery will include an experienced OHS representative and a mix of puppies and kittens that can be cuddled by employees at participating businesses. Thirty minute visits are available for a donation of $500, or businesses can guarantee a one-hour visit with puppies and kittens with a donation of $1,000. This annual event sees more than 2,000 business professionals across more than 65 Portland area companies. This event is advertised and marketed through OHS social media platforms, printed materials, the OHS Pet Dish e- newsletter (with 110,000 opt-in subscribers) and media releases.
