LONDON CAT CLUB 18 th March 2017 Dr Bruce Bennett Many thanks to Kym and her colleagues for the invitation to participate in this highly enjoyable event in Woking, well attended and with a swing to proceedings. Thanks also to Kirsty Baxter who stepped up to steward and did so with panache. I look forward to our next meeting in April, Kirsty. I substituted for Mrs Brooks, who had to leave early, at the Best in Show event and was privileged to meet seven quality exhibits. My last four were a very handsome blue and white Norwegian, PR FORESTFRIEND VULCAN, with a militarily correct air to him, a very striking British Tipped, CH JERAZ LITTLESNOW BEAR, showing super masculine type as well as a dazzlingly sparkling coat, a very elegant and typy Tabby Pointed Siamese, PR ATARIQ ROYAL APPOINTMENT, with the closest and sleekest coat that I have seen for some time. These three fellows were all quite splendid and worthy of the award; all were adolescent and just short of mature presence. My choice fell on a fully mature and suavely delightful Tortie Burmese lady, I GR CH TRIBUNE HUFFLEPUFF, who in addition to looking delicious, flirted demurely and could not be denied. AC ORIENTAL PREMIER NEUTER MALE. GR PC to JONES PR SOULSTEALER KAMALI. MN. (OSH d 03) 1 yr 5 mth. A very diffident fellow who did not do himself justice outside his pen. However, he has a very pleasing equilateral wedge head with breadth at its top between large ears that came back into good alignment when he was back in his pen and subjected to a bit of TLC. There too, his eyes adopted a lovely oriental shape and incline. Straight profile, chin might be a little stronger, bite level. Lengthy slender body, balancing length of limbs and tail; has a sternal naughtiness but it does not appear to be fixed. Coat a little long but lies well. Bright reds with contrasting white, suitably distributed in sufficient quantity. RES GR PC to CAMPBELL S PR SARAMESE NICKEL N DIMES. MN. (OSH c) 1 yr 8 mth. Another striking gentleman with a lengthy, straight sided wedge sweeping upward into large ears that might be spaced just a little more to balance the length. Eyes marginally open, pale green. Proud, just arched profile, aligned chin that could be a little deeper, excellent even bite. Long,
firm body, matching limbs and tail. Very splendid close-lying silken coat of desired pinkish grey shade. AC SIAMESE/BALINESE CHAMPION ADULT. 1 GR CC Withheld. MORGAN S CH JOMESE SIAMAZING JEDI. M. (SIA n) 2 yr 5 mth. Rather a dainty boy with very elegant lines to his wedge head, spaced ears well set and of balancing size. Pleasing oriental shape to his eyes of good blue. Arched profile, muzzle rather shallow, chin aligned, peggety incisers meeting. Body neat though tummy curiously full and rounded for his size, reducing elegance, limbs and tail matching the body length. Coat a little open over the spine, lies well otherwise, dense seal points with shaded body showing sufficient contrast. MAINE COON SILVER TABBY SERIES ADULT. Sweet baby with a neat head, nice top, flat between well set ears of mid size, rounded eyes of light blue, darker around the pupils. Profile shows a gentle dip from brow to a mid length straight muzzle, aligned chin and level teething bite. Neat little body, matched by limbs and tail. Bright whites on inverted V of mask, correct on limbs and understory. Quite a lot of white evident on the body, though the becoming pallor of the basic body shade, while it contrasts dramatically with the seal points makes it difficult at present to determine exactly how much white there actually is on the body. Time will make this clear no doubt. AC SIBERIAN KITTEN MALE. 1. PHILIPS MUSRAFY POLYARNY. M. (SIB n 03 24) 6 mth 1 wk.
