The Meat Sheep Alliance of Florida The Meat Sheep Alliance of Florida was organized to promote the sheep industry in Florida, to provide information and education to its members, and to the general public, regarding the production of sheep. We meet twice a year for educational programs, to socialize, and to share ideas. The MSA Junior Showmen Points show circuit is part of the commitment to provide educational opportunities for youth interested in the sheep industry of Florida. The Meat Sheep Alliance of Florida Junior Showmen membership entitles its Junior Members to be eligible for additional scholarships by participating in its sheep shows, festivals, educational events, and other sheep programs it sponsors. Participation in these events accumulates points that can be redeemed annually in cash prizes and other gifts at the annual Florida Sheep, Wool, and Herding Dog Festival in the spring of each year. Membership is open to youth under the age of 18. To register for membership, complete an application at any MSA event or online at www.floridasheep.com (click the Sheep Show tab). The Meat Sheep Alliance Junior Showmen Membership Mission Statement To collect, record and preserve the records of junior sheep competition within the state of Florida from one year to the next while maintaining a summary of the results. To provide beneficial services for its members that enhance and encourage junior sheep ownership and participation. To develop educational programs, material and curriculum that will position it as a leading resource organization in the junior sheep industry within Florida. To generate growth of MSA Junior Showmen membership via marketing, promotion, and advertising of the Meat Sheep Alliance of Florida, the state association of the American Sheep Industry. Points accumulate per schedule posted on the www.floridasheep.com website with a cash payout to the top 5 point earners at the Florida Sheep, Wool and Herding Dog Festival, April 25, 26, 27, 2014.
