The Wayland Show is run by a voluntary committee, and voluntary helpers during the Show. (A)The Wayland Agricultural Society CIC (The Society) accepts no responsibility for any accident to livestock or any other animal, spectator or property. (B)The Society will provide a Designated Area under the Animals Gathering (Interim Measures) order 2003 and the layout and management shall be in accordance with the DEFRA and SAC approval. (C)Movements to and from the show will have to be reported in line with the requirements of the general movement license issued under the Diseases control (Interim measures) (England) Order 2003. (D)The Society requires all animals are disease free and come from a healthy environment and that they will be inspected on arrival if necessary by a veterinary surgeon. (E)The Society accepts sheep entries from MV Accredited AND non MV Accredited animals, also Defra health schemes. (F)All animals must be individually marked in accordance with current DEFRA regulations. (G)Livestock will be able to claim the six day standstill exceptions provided they have been isolated from all other non show livestock on their holding in Defra approved isolation facilities for six days before attending their first show. (H)Cattle and sheep coming from a holding where there are no isolation facilities will have to observe a six day standstill on their return. (I)Please maintain the correct separation of stock at all times during the show because scheme stock which comes in contact with non-scheme stock may be required to lose status and undergo appropriate blood testing to regain status. The Society will not held responsible for any accidental contact which affects any exhibitor s. (J)The Society reserves the right to refuse any entry and to substitute any judge without prior notice. (K)The Society reserves the right to have blood samples taken from any animal exhibited, if a judge or steward is suspicious about the condition of the animal. (L)In the event of there being insufficient entries for each class or breed the relevant classes will be amalgamated or may be cancelled at the discretion of the Society. (M)All livestock entered for the show must be adequately trained to be lead by a halter, if required to be. (O)All Bulls over 10 months of age must be ringed and shall be, if required by the steward, be lead with a pole. It is recommended that all senior bulls have two handlers in the ring. (P)All bulls must be tied and haltered with two ties throughout the event. (R)Livestock vehicles will be admitted with the relevant passes and must be parked as directed by the stewards. (S) Every person entering the showground including drivers of livestock wagons/trailers must have a valid entrance ticket/pass or pay the full admission costs. The show will not be responsible for any tickets mislaid or forgotten. This regulation will be strictly enforced. (T) All owners,exhibitors and attendants will be required to have an exhibitor s ticket to gain entry, which will only be valid before 9.30am. (U) Prize money will be paid on the day. All Cups and Trophy prize winners must sign for their Cup or Trophy before taking them off the Showground. These must be returned before the next show.
