Though very small the show was a pleasure to be a part of, Barbi & the committee had worked really hard to ensure it was a success & what it lacked in numbers it well made up for in quality, though to be fair, I did have all the Best of variety winners in various classes. The best in show winners, were all very impressive & will feature fully in my reports, having had them all on the day. I would like to thank my stewards Irene Roos & Clare Whitby for their assistance. Lunch was exceptionally good, not sure what I preferred most. Thank you also for the gift, It also gave me an opportunity to start collecting sponsors for my Brave the Shave, which I will submitting myself to at the GCCF Supreme Cat Show. So if you would like to donate a small sum to the McMillan Trust, then send details to me at hansson808@btinternet.com don t forget to gift aid it for the full amount to be paid to the trust. Full report now concluded. Hopefully in this instalment I ve picked up any typos omissions (no guarantees though). Olympian, Male OLY WHITHERS S IMP GR CH TINYALLY RAFAEL. SIA m. 17-10-15. Caramel Point Siamese, such a relaxed calm & composed lad, just needs to learn to suck up more to the judge than the steward. He has a beautifully balanced triangular wedge, his profile has very slight rise on the nose though otherwise strong, chin firm, level bite. Large ears with wide flared base, very wider in their set, with excellent masculine top line. His eyes are really expressive, lovely shape & slant, deep blue colour, looking so trusting. Wonderfully taut well muscled body, well proportioned limbs, oval paws, good length tail. His coat, was just amazing it was wonderfully sleek & fitted him perfectly it could have been sprayed on, wonderfully sleek & close. The body colour is generally cooler magnolia warming slightly where the points merge, these are a lilac based creating a taupe brownish hue & are what I consider a true lilac based Caramel should look like, the tail slightly paler towards the base. Superb condition, a real dream to handle, he is so very, very relaxed. He looked remarkably impressive & was well worthy of his Certificate be it breed or All breed show. He was my choice later for Best Siamese/Balinese. Oriental Imperial Grand Premier, Male; IMP GTR PR Not Awarded. JONES S GR PR SOULSTEALER KAMALI. OSH d 03. 20-10-15. Red Bi-Colour, in the process of this lad being handed to me by my steward he had a very prominent protruding xiphisternum, so I called the DV & literally as he touched it & it popped back in much to my surprise, but the timing could not have been worse. Head has a relatively even balanced wedge, very minor break in otherwise very good profile, good chin as was his bite. His ears were moderately large, ideally I would prefer a little more flare to their base & slightly wider apart. Lovely green eyes, shape & set both very good. Body was firm & good length when you actually get him to relax, pity about the xiphisternum issue, slim legs tail of balanced length. His coat was close lying, though a little long along the back area. He has well more than the minimum 1

required white to colour his being in the region of 45% due to the white extending up his back including white through the tummy. The red was an attractive bright tone. He was in in splendid condition just very, very worried though surprisingly gentle. Seal Point Siamese Neuter, Male; 1 st PC & BOB. ALEXANDER S BRYHER ZULU. 07-08-16. Mature lad for his youthful age. Head is basically good wedge shape though showing a slight pinch, profile is good just hint of slight hint of break at the eye line, good chin & bite. Ears are good larger size, set well apart, good with to their base. His eyes are a little fuller in shape as a result require a little more oriental setting, the eye colour whilst not pale would benefit with more depth & brilliance. Well grown chap, strong body, good legs & paws, tail tapered, I d like it finer & longer to balance his body. His coat is a little long & though it lay close it needs to be sleeker being harsh along the lower back. His body is lightly shaded with generally good contrast to his points still to complete more fully. Composed & in very good condition. Chocolate Point Siamese Adult, Female; Considered for & Awarded BOB. ALEXANDER S CH BRYHER XHOSA. 07-08-16. Litter sister to the Seal lad, longer wedge with some muzzle pinch, head requires a little more chin depth her profile almost straight, chin good. Hear ears are a good larger size, though a little more mobile which makes their setting difficult to correctly evaluate, good width to their base. Her eyes are somewhat prominent & full creating a rather emboldened effect, good depth of blue. Body very lean & narrow, somewhat wriggly miss, very slender limbs, small neat paws, fine tail. Coat was short & very sleek, laying beautifully close. Very warm colour with some surface shading deepening the colour, darker chocolate mask & ears, with patchier stocking, tail more brindled effect. Condition was very good, she was a very shy girl & her BOB rather borderline, needs to mature more fully. Caramel Point Adult; Considered for & Awarded BOB. WHITHERS S IMP GR CH TINYALLY RAFAEL. Oriental Tortie Kitten; 1 st & BOB BROWN S FIROUSI HOCUS-POCUS. OSH f. 02-06-17. Black, once this kitten relaxes fully she is looks so beautifully balanced. Her head has a well balanced wedge with even lines, as yet she has a small break in profile which has still to pull out, firm chin, her bite good. The ears are a good larger size, with complementary flare to their base, once she settles them fully they balance her head beautifully, with very good width between & pleasing top line. Her eyes, are a typical oriental shape & slant, the colour still to fully settle, though green evident. Body was beautifully firm & weighty for her young age, with slender limbs, neat paws. Surprisingly close short coat, with sleek satin like finish. Glossy sheen, dense black with patched & mingled shades of red dispersed throughout (as per SOP s), sound in colour, the overall effect is very attractive. 2

Her condition was splendid. She was later Best Oriental kitten, just piping her brother. Delightful little character. Novice Adult; 1 st MAZUR & RAWLINS SERAPIS VINDEX DANTE. OSH a. 17-12-16. Oriental Blue, very handsome youngster, of only 9.5 months. Very even youngster, quite a well balanced wedge, one of the best profiles on the day, it was a straight as you are likely to get, good chin, level bite. Ears well set with width between, good larger size, would prefer a little more flare to their base. He has lovely eyes, being a most pleasing shape & slant, green in colour. Good body development, strong & well muscled, beautifully grown, well proportioned legs & paws, tail tapering & balanced length. His coat I would like a little shorter but it was close lying & well prepared, with very good texture. He has some slight brindling evident & this creates a soft blue effect. the colour otherwise sound though he did have a couple of white hairs in the groin. Wonderful condition & temperament. Later Best Oriental Adult. 2 nd CHERRY S CIATRA YOLANDA. OSH n 25. 16-10-16. Oriental Brown Ticked Tabby, longer length wedge which is a little narrow & her head requires greater depth, slight dip in profile, chin was lacking depth, her bite level. Ears large & set well apart, with wide complementary base. Tends to widen her eyes though the shape & set are both excellent with the black rims enhancing the effect, whilst I would like a deeper more intense green, green they were. Body was elegant & firm, elegant neckline, slender limbs small neat feet, long fine tail. Beautiful coat quality, very short & beautifully sleek, glossy sheen. Well marked facials, beautifully ticked over her body, some tail rings towards the tip, impressive leg barring (which though an either or) I find them very attractive. The colour possessed a lovely degree of warmth, & the contrast was well defined against it, black heels & outer edges of her paws, also the tail tip. She was very shy & a little apprehensive but her condition was excellent. Seal Point Siamese Breeders Kitten; 1 st KENDALL S SLYNKYZAR MYSTICAL MOON. 08-06-17. Drooly kitten, incredibly appealing, this kitten has the very elusive oomph factor & one of those you see, you like & grows on you the more you look. Not a long wedge, though very even, excellent development to the profile, very good chin, excellent bite. Beautifully set ears without exaggeration in either size or set & balance her head so well. Stunning eyes, the shape & slant splendid, intense deep blue colour, gorgeous expression. At only 17 weeks she obviously has some growth to achieve, but she is weighty & firm for her size, slender limbs, neat paws, fine tail. Her coat was really lovely being well prepared & possessing sleek finish to it close lying shorter length. Contrast was excellent, warm coat of delicate beige tone, points showing some warmth, though still to complete more fully. Her condition was wonderful & she so beautifully composed in her bed. Nothing overtly flashy but so very heard to hard to resist, one of those exhibits who should appeal to the majority, beautiful & most promising young miss. Well deserved Best Siamese kitten. 2 nd REEECE S ADJULSI BOBBY BROWNSOCKS. 06-04-17. Very balanced & even kitten. Balanced even wedge, profile very good, with quite good depth chin, level bite. The ears are large & set well apart, flared bas, these harmonise 3

with his wedge. The eye shape & set both oriental, colour would benefit with more depth, though this is not to infer pale, very pleasing expression. Body was firm & well grown, with well proportioned limbs, neat paws, well balanced tail. His coat was close lying & well prepared with satin like texture. Body colour has some warmth to it creating light beige tone, contrast to his points was good & these are developing well, though obviously still to complete. He was in excellent condition & has a lovely nature. Seal Point Non-Breeders Kitten; 1 st JANICKI S SHERMESE IMOJI. SIA n. 25-02-17. Impressive head type, beautifully strong masculine wedge, slight rise at the brow to his otherwise very strong profile, chin tapers a little, level bite. Ears are large & set well apart, with complementary wide flare to his ears. His eyes let him down, being small, the setting rather straight & deeper in set than desirable, the colour requires more depth & intensity, some jello in the inner corner of the right one. Body is developing well, proportionate slender limbs, oval paws, well balanced length tail. His coat is slightly longer but was showing some thin areas randomly along his back, where it looks like he has ben plucking, could be a little sleeker. He has some colour issues at present, his points of seal Brown showing a degree of brindling particularly round the eyes, where there is paling to the spectacle area, his coat colour was looking somewhat uneven along his back with some thinner & darker areas where it looks like it has grown back in. He has the most a amazing purr which made his body vibrate, despite his colour issues he was in excellent condition. Oriental Non-Self Breeders Kitten; 1 st BROWN S FIROUSI HOCUS-POCUS. OSH f. 2 nd BROWN S FIROUSI BLYTHE SPIRIT. OSH k 03 21 33 02-06-17. Caramel Tortie Tabby Pointed (I omitted this from this initial report) Bi-Colour, very pleasing girl, litter sister to the above, strong head, very good wedge, some pinch as yet, the profile is showing small break hopefully this will pull out as she matures, strong chin but her bite is a little under. She has large ears, set well apart, wide at their base, set wide & low & she does have a tendency to bonnet them a times, enhanced due to lack of confidence, this impacts a little on her eye shape & slant, giving them a slight drop down at the outer edges, the colour was a very good deep blue tone. Body was beautifully firm, well shaped legs & paws, her tail was long & fine. Coat was close albeit it longer than I would ideally wish but still a baby so time to change. Abundant white to comply, being well over 60% I would say, with clean white tummy line, small amounts on heads & mask with small patches of light shading on her back, excellent tail ribbons, with white tip. Warm apricot patch on one ear, the colour has still to deepen more fully to define. Her condition was super, very sweet disposition pity about the bite. AC Siamese/Balinese Under 6 months; 1 st KENDALL S SLYNKYZAR MYSTICAL MOON. 08-06-17. 2 nd WITHERS S TINTALLY TUMBLEWEED. SIA n. 22-05-17. Seal Point Siamese, not a long wedge, though even, small dip in profile which has time to pull out more as she develops, chin & bite good. The ears are large, & beautifully 4

set, with good width to their base. Her eyes were not as well defined as the winners, though possessing a good depth of blue, pleasing gentle expression. She is a petite dainty miss, though weighty, slim legs, neat paws, fine tail. Coat was close lying, slightly shady surface which could be warmer beige tone, very good contrast to her warm seal points colour. Looking very poised in her bed & very appealing, excellent condition. Oriental Kitten Under 6 Months; 1 st BROWN S FIROUSI HOCUS-POCUS. OSH f. 2 nd RICHARDSON S SIAMESIS CASCADA. OSH f 01 21 64 21-04-17. Black/Brown Tortie Tabby Bi-Colour, very attractive young miss, beautifully even lines to her well balanced wedge, very good profile, chin tapers marginally, bite level. Ears are a good size & are set to follow through the lines of her wedge & with good width between. Lovely eyes, shape & set both oriental, showing good green to the colour, very expressive bit with amore panic stricken look out, which determined the placings to some degree. Firm girl very good length, with elegant limbs, neat paws, fine tail. Her coat was wonderful, short & close lying short, & very close, fitting her really well & has a sleek finish. High white with small tabby marking on the right of her head with tiny bits of Tabby on her muzzle, the leg barring was very impressive & she has lovely tail rings & white tail tip. Nobody could argue with her amount of white, with clear tummy line. The white beautifully clean, the red still to become more apparent. Condition was excellent, she is a gentle girl but extremely nervous, looking far better in the pen though thn she does when she comes out. 3 rd RICHARDSON S SIAMESIS VIVA LA DIVA. OSH n 03 25. 21-04-17. Looked to be the winner, very stylish but incredibly panicky. Radius Kitten; 1 st SIMPSON S SHERMESE VEYRON. SIA n 21. 01-03-17. Seal Tabby Point, handsome well grown youngster. His wedge ideally I would like a little wider at the top, very good profile, good strength to his profile being virtually straight, adequate chin, level bite. His ears are large & have very good wide base, I d like just a little more width between. The eyes are a lovely shape & slant, just requiring a deeper shade of blue, nevertheless he has a lovely expression. Good neckline, firm long lithe body showing good development, long legs & oval paws, extremely long fine whiptail. Coat close lying, well prepared, very good texture. Some light tonal shading developing, though the actual colour has warmth, Good facials, showing broken M, with thumbprints on his ears, paler leg barring, tail rings while present could be more distinct, well coloured heels. Wonderful temperament, very relaxed & composed, excellent condition. incredibly long tail, excellent head type, very good profile. Lovely eyes shape, the colour lacks brilliance, slightly duller blue, Oriental Non-Self Breeders Neuter; 1 st REED S IMP GR PR JOHPAS FROM RUSSIAWITHLOVE OSH n 03 33. 05-08-15. Seal Point Bi-Colour, wonderfully striking exhibit, I genuinely cannot think of many exhibits who have the strength to head to carry off ears of this size & get away with it, I take that back, I can t think of any others. Wonderfully 5

strong masculine wedge, his profile somewhat uneven, strong deep chin, bite level. Huge ears with very wide flared base, set very wide apart, admitted he does drop them flat at times but when he is fully alert the tips are above the top of his head, superb top line, luckily he has enough depth & masculinity to get away with it Gorgeous eyes, shape & slant, deep vivid blue with superior lofty arrogant expression. Huge lad yet retaining elegance & he has excellent overall length, with slender long legs& oval paws, well balanced length of tail. His coat was close lying & well prepared, possessing sleek glossy finish to the body shading which has now deepened off & is surprisingly warm, deeper splashed seal on his muzzle seal ears, tail & a little on each leg, White on the mask, right ear tip throat, chest, tummy & all his les, complying well with the amount of white required & over a third to colour. Really lovely condition & though something a grumpy @** it is purely effectual & he just like to moan about life, that aside he actually handles well. Amazing degree of impact, later Best Oriental & Overall Exhibit. Absolutely splendid. Oriental Self Breeders Neuter; 1 st RUSSEL S PR KAMIK THEACEOFSPADES. OSH n. 02-07-16. Black, flashy exhibit. Head I would prefer to show more depth ideally, whilst possessing even lines, the profile uneven & has a dip a the eye line, chin firm, level bite. His ears are large. With beautifully flared wide base, creating a very fly away effect & he does bonnet these on occasion. Eyes are a very impressive oriental shape & slant, the colour by no means his best feature, being a more khaki/olive tone, but green nevertheless. Elegant neckline, long well muscled body, with slender limbs, neat paws, wonderful very long fine tail. His coat was short & very close lying with a superb sleek smooth satin like texture. Deep glossy black which was also sound. He was in splendid condition & so easy to handle, just wish the eye colour was a more obvious. 2 nd ELLIS S CH & PR DREAMLOVER CHANTILLY LACE. OSH n. 08-01-15. Black, medium length wedge, just requiring a little more width, though relatively even, profile is good, chin is quite frim, bite very untidy. The ears need to be a little larger & ideally require more flare to their base, tending to prick tall. Eyes have a good shape just require a little more oriental slant, lovely colour of vivid green & is very striking. Body is firm & medium length she has a slight protrusion on the right side of her ribs,, slim legs, oval paws, well balanced tail. Her coat I would have preferred shorter being on the longer side, it was though close lying, it could be sleeker. The back was a little rusty in certain areas throat, chest & legs & not as sound as I would have wished & she does have rather a large amount of scattered white hairs in various areas, which detracted. She has a lovely disposition & her condition was excellent. AC Junior Oriental Neuter; 1 st RUSSEL S PR KAMIK THEACEOFSPADES. OSH n. AC Senior Oriental Neuter; 1 st WHITBY S IMP GR CH & IMP GR PR PIPPASTRO TIGER MOTH OLH ks 11. 15-07-10. Caramel Silver Tortie Shaded Oriental Longhair, older girl who was deceptively weighty. Head had good length wedge, slight pinch but nothing excessive tends to puff her whisker pads making it appear more obvious. Some 6

dip in profile, firm chin, missing incisors & bite untidy. Her ears were large & & set well apart, wide base, small tufts on the tips, well furnished interiors & attractive wispy fronds at their base. Eyes are marginally fuller shape whilst still displaying oriental shape & slant, still with a good green to the colour. Body was firm & good length, with proportionate legs & paws, tufts between her toes, her tail was showing a good degree of fullness, though it could be longer. No problem with this girl s coat length she is a very obvious long hair, she was showing full knickerbockers, the overall length uneven with longer fronds round the face & fringes evident throughout. It could ideally be a little silkier. Though heavily shaded she is very good example of Caramel Tortie for colour being sludgy Taupe, with some apricot just evident when the light catches it, the undercoat could be clearer but it has pushed any remnants of pattern to the surface, though the silver could be clearer, showing some facials & vestigial necklet & hint of leg barring, some colour on her heels & darker smudges on the outer edges of her paws. Looks really good for her age, gentle demeanour. Pet Class, Most Handsome Male; Not sure these two little chaps chose the best titled class, Appealing or Cute would have been more appropriate. 1 st GRAY S TAILER. Brown Classic Tabby SH. 20 weeks very young & I confess he won the class as he was a little older & more grown up than the other exhibit. Bright eyed & bushy tailed, well maybe not bushy tailed exactly he has wonderfully soft coat, which was well prepared. The eyes are round & open with slightly quizzical expression, grease free ears. He has a wonderful gentle nature & was in super condition & should do well. 2 nd OLIVER S TYRION. Chocolate SH. Delightful little chap, had this been on appeal factor, this lad would have won, but he has yet to reach a stage where he could legitimately be called handsome, that said he had the most delightful personality. Coat well prepared, clean ears & bright hazel green eyes, with a an alert & lovely appearance. His condition was splendid, handled beautifully & gave my stewards a little something to entertain them & drool over, it was a pleasure to waste a some time with him, he was later Best PP. AC Balinese Adult/Kitten or Neuter; 1 st WHITBY S PIPPASTRO NUTCRACKER ( TICA GCA) BAL d 21. 09-10-16. Red Tabby Point, I have to honestly confess that this lad is the Best Balinese I have seen for a considerable period of time. Though as yet pretty as opposed to handsome & still to make the full grown up transition he ticks all the right boxes. He was very elegant & has penchant of style I have not seen for a very long time in his breed, Long body, elegant neckline, with lovely slender limbs & smaller neat paws, his tail could be a little longer & has yet to attain a plume as such, at present it is a little fluffier. Coat beautifully prepared with very soft silky texture & while it still has to attain more in the way of length, it is long enough to indicate what he is though somewhat disguised as it lays along the lines of his body, I would like to have seen some wispier fronds but these are not an essential, some get them some don t. He has some warm red shading on the body, bright red to the tabby tracings, leg bracelets need more definition. He has very even lines to his well balanced wedge, virtually completely straight 7

profile, firm chin. Ears are large, set well apart, complementing his head. Beautiful eye shape & slant, colour I would like deeper, but not to infer pale & he has such a gentle expression. Wonderful condition & such a confident nature. He was later Best of Variety Siamese/Balinese Neuter, he has a great deal of potential just to grow up more fully, welcome back to the Balinese this lad may well the shot in the arm the breed needs, to kick start their resurgence.
