OUR VISION a world where everyone on the planet owns a toothbrush 2

MESSAGE FROM THE UDO SMILE SQUAD We believe... Every child should be entitled to adequate dental care. Proper oral hygiene has gone underserved, but we at udo believe a healthy smile is a necessity for every child to journey through life with confidence. That is why we are committing our time, wisdom, energy, and all our resources to accomplishing udo s vision a world where everyone on the planet owns a toothbrush. We have a plan and we are asking for your help. When udo first started three years ago, we had focused on India, where 600,000,000 people do not use toothbrushes. While revamping 1,000 schools in rural India, The Coca-Cola Company had helped us reach thousands of children many of them teens who received their first toothbrushes ever! In addition to supplying children in rural India with eco-friendly toothbrushes and toothpaste, we helped those children develop pen pal relationships with American kids, which encouraged better dental care practices for all students involved. We have already secured immense resources to accomplish our mission dental care for every child. Through our Arc partnership, we are affiliated with Work Opportunity Centers that provide employment to adults with disabilities, especially Down s Syndrome, and these special people package our donated supplies. Our domestic distribution is largely performed by Feeding America FoodBanks. Our international reach is assisted by prominent organizations, such as The Coca-Cola Company, to help us reach the most rural areas on the planet. Our marketing abilities are boosted by a significant advertising grant provided by Google. udo has already donated thousands and thousands of supplies and we want you to join our team to expand our efforts. 1

udo is the United Donations Organization OUR MISSION To give a healthy, sustainable smile to every child. OUR VALUES Community, quality, Earth, integrity, love, hope, charity, joy, kindness, caring, understanding, change, and opportunity. OUR COMMITMENT TO DONORS 100% of donations go to the cause. We are volunteers. 2

In Sonkh, India, these students were given their first toothbrushes ever. The Sonkh School was one of many schools that received assistance from udo as part of Coca-Cola s Support My School initiative. 3

Did you know... Tooth decay is the most common childhood disease, affecting over 70% of school children and 90% of people on the planet. (World Health Organization) 60-90% of children and nearly 100% of adults have cavities worldwide. (World Health Organization) Globally, there are more cell phone owners than toothbrush owners. (Mobile Marketing Association) In India alone, 600,000,000 do not use toothbrushes and 1,000,000,000 have gum disease. (National Oral Health Programme) 50,000,000 lbs. of plastic toothbrushes are discarded in U.S. landfills yearly. (Business Insider) The 4-part solution Work within communities to bring together local governments, schools, charities, and businesses. Give every child... TOOTHBRUSHES TOOTHPASTE EDUCATION TREATMENT and encourage kids to smile! 4

Toothbrushes & Toothpaste The American Dental Association recommends changing toothbrushes every three months. Every child sponsored by a donor receives four toothbrushes and 11 ounces of toothpaste, a one year s supply. Donors can renew these sponsorships annually. The bamboo-handled toothbrushes we distribute are unique, high quality, and children love them. Plastic toothbrushes are not helpful to our environment. Bamboo, on the other hand, is highly renewable and contains lignin (an organic polymerizing compound that sequesters carbon). udo sources the best bamboo on Earth that contains twice the lignin count as most other American bamboo species. Lignin is proven to inhibit bacterial growth, whereas plastic provides bacteria a perfect breeding ground. Microbiologists contend that udo s bamboo toothbrushes contain fewer bacterial colonies than plastic. udo s organic bamboo is grown without the aid of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, which supports our commitment to health and sustainability. USDA Certified + Organically Grown Ecofriendly + Antibacterial Bamboo Dentist-Preferred Soft Tynex Bristles U.S. Patent No. 756,659 Adults with disabilities package donated supplies at Work Opportunity Centers. Toothpaste leads to healthier smiles We provide a year s supply of toothpaste to every sponsored child. Brushing teeth is about mechanical removal of plaque and debris. Toothpaste protects gums and enamel, giving children a shiny smile to instill confidence. Studies prove that smiling helps boost mood, increases happiness and lowers stress. 5

Education & Treatment Applying a boots-on-the-ground approach, udo has already reached thousands of schools in the United States and India. Our child- and teen-friendly methods effectively influence students with fun and laughter. Furthermore, our Google advertising grant gives us the means to reach children and teens online through kid-friendly educational literature, videos, and our Google-subsidized advertising campaigns. Moreover, udo is affiliated with more than 1,000 Parent-Teacher nonprofits giving us access to approximately 1,000,000 students in the United States alone. Our partnership with The Coca-Cola Company in India also provides access to over 1,000 schools in rural India, all of which have received our amenities through The Coca-Cola Foundation s Support My School initiative. udo s constantly growing dental affiliates allow us to provide treatment to the many children who can t afford it. Through donations and additional grants our plans to build our first mobile dental unit is not far from reality. 6

Education & Treatment With new resources, udo and partners will be increasing their medical outreach program by working with school guidance counselors to identify uninsured children in dire need of dentists attention. Insurance is not a prerequisite to receiving dental care. Primarily sought are children whose families do not have dental insurance. However, udo also coordinates affordable dental care for insured children. By supporting udo, you increase education and subsidize treatment so every child in your community is happy and healthy. 7

Testimonials We are delighted that udo, Inc. has chosen the The Arc to assist with this important community project. Not only are our participants getting the work experience they need to live as full and independent a life as possible, but they ll be helping to get toothbrushes in the hands of those who might go without. It s a win-win situation. Linda Porter, Director of Vocational Services for the Arc of Monmouth Good health and nutrition are critically important for children to thrive, and we appreciate the toothbrushes and funds for meals to our families in need. Linda Keenan, Director of Development for the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties After hearing the pressing needs of our local community, I was deeply inspired, as it is close to my heart. I am proud to be involved in this cause, and urge others to support those who are in need. Dr. Benjamin B. Klayman, DMD, FAGD, of Red Bank Smiles udo s focus--earth friendly dental care supplies, education, and medical treatment for children in need is unprecedented and overdue. The capable and passionate team at udo are actively making a positive impact in their community. With their first milestone to provide for every at-risk child in Monmouth & Ocean Counties, udo is leading by example to solve an international problem at home. Donald Short, Retired International CEO, The Coca-Cola Company India, Africa & The Middle East I endorse the United Donations Organization and commend its volunteers and donors in their efforts to promote dental health in the community for all our children. Every child should have adequate dental care and a healthy smile. Dr. Samuel D. Thompson, Ph.D., Senator of New Jersey Sea Bright is so grateful to everyone volunteering their time to protect our shores, and we congratulate udo for their amazing commitment to making a positive difference in communities. Dina Long, Mayor of Sea Bright Anthony and the udo Team continue to make a positive impact in our community. I met Anthony when he first started udo and he successfully enlisted my support to give talks at schools in the area. udo has come a long way since then and is getting everyone involved to give meals and toothbrushes in the area. Anthony has shown a great ability to bring the community together for a great cause. I m happy to back it! Eric Hinds, Mayor of Holmdel and Founder of the Hope for Children Foundation We challenge citizens to Kick the Plastic Habit and reduce their single-use plastic consumption through environmental and sustainable products, such as udo toothbrushes. Tory Woods, Development Director of Clean Ocean Action 8
