Page 4 Issue 43 ADOPTION UPDATES NALA when adopted Thank you to everyone who has adopted an animals and given them a new and better Ufe. DAISY MAE Nala, now Bella, with Daisy Mae, they do great together. Bella (Nala) is doing great! The main reason we adopted her was for our son who was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy. We are hoping Bella will "tune in" to him and possibly give us a heads up on a seizure. So far she has laid right beside him after ' a seizure, so she is doing fantastic! When you adopt you actually save 2 lives, the life of the animal you adopt which then opens up a space for another animal to be brought in for adoption. If you have adopted an animal from HS CAR we would love an update with a picture on how they are doing in their new home. We love those happy endings. Bernard, now Buddy and Bruno are brothers. In Nov 2014 Bernard was surrendered and adopted by the Brown family. Bruno was surrendered in Feb, 2015. When Jayne heard we had Bernard's brother she had to come meet him and Bruno was reunited with his brother. Before being adopted they had been kept in an outside kennel, now they sleep on the bed like bookends and are being spoiled rotten. We love those happy endings!

Pleasant Animal Hospital Susan Stevens Gwen Cherry WaUy Wimmer Tip of the Month Karen Guignard, Bark Busters Dog Behavioral Therapist and Master Trainer. Go to www.barkbusters.com for more information Supervise greetings between your dog and a strange person or dog: If you have a very friendly dog, do not let him approach every person you meet. Not everyone likes or is comfortable with dogs. When meeting a stranger, avoid putting tension on the leash, which may put your dog on alert to be wary. Keep an eye on your dog's body language, but stay relaxed. If a stranger wants to pet your dog, tell him to let your dog approach him, rather than having him approach your dog. If your dog seems uncomfortable with greeting another dog or person, never force the meeting. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
