EAST VILLAGE, NYC: Every October over 10,000 spectators will gather in Tompkins Square Park to watch hundreds of masquerading dogs in the country s largest Halloween Dog Parade. Friends of First Run - Tompkins Square is looking for a sponsor to participate in this exciting community renewal fundraiser. All proceeds go to the N.Y.C. Department of Parks & Recreation for the maintenance & upkeep of the newly restored Tompkins Square Dog Run. Sponsorship Opportunity - How your company can participate Tompkins Square Park is one of the NYC s most vibrant parks situated in the heart of the East Village. Event Description & Sponsorship Inquiries The Event The halloween parade is organized in the style of a dog show competition. It is presented in 2 rounds about 1 1/2 hours each. The first dogs to arrive in costume will compete in Round 1. A winner and numerous runner ups will be awarded prizes at the end of that round. Then we go on to next group of dogs for Round 2. Best In Show This year s Best in Show wins a special grand prize. The winner will be selected from the winners of the previous rounds and will be announced at the end of the day. Admission & Directions Admission to the event is a free. There is no fee to enter your dog in the competition. The first round begins promptly at 12 Noon.
