Showmanship Handlers are judged on teamwork and presentation of their dog- grooming- stacking- gaiting. Appropriate showmanship attire and show lead required. The use of products is discouraged. Basic Novice Advanced Excellent For FIRST year handlers with FIRST time dogs. All second year participants MUST move to Novice. For experienced handler who has shown one or more years,, or basic handler with experienced dog. Any exhibitor who has won the Novice class twice at a State Level Dog Show MUST move to Advanced No handler that is showing in outside venues may enter this class. For handlers/dogs that have won the novice class twice at a state level dog show Experienced handlers showing in Novice classes in outside venues (AKC, UKC, etc.) Handlers that have shown in open or masters classes may not show in this class For experienced handlers showing in the eopen or masters classes in outside venues. Obedience Classes will be judged according to the AKC rules as modified by the Florida State Fair Youth Dog Show Committee. Basic Sub-Novice Beginner s Novice Novice Open For beginning handler and beginning dog in their first year of showing. All second year exhibitors MUST move to a different class. For second year handlers; experienced handler with beginning dog, or beginning handler with experienced dog. No dog with AKC or UKC rally or obedience titles may compete in this class. A~ For handlers and dogs who are training for novice off-lead exercises, This is an AKC class for preparing for off-lead work. B~ Any dog or handler that has placed first in A at a state level show; Any dog or handler that has a BN title. A~ For handlers and dogs that are ready to compete in novice off-lead exercises. B~ Handlers and dogs with a Novice obedience title; And handler or dog that has won the Novice A class at a state level show. A~ For dogs and handlers ready to compete in open exercises B~ Dogs and handlers with an Open title must compete here.
Rally Basic Novice Intermediate Advanced Excellent. For beginning handler and beginning dog in their first year of showing. NO dogs or handlers that have a qualifying score in rally or obedience may enter Basic For second year or greater handlers; Handlers or dogs with qualifying scores in rally or obedience in an outside venue (AKC, UKC, etc.) A~ Those that DO NOT have a title in Novice Rally or Obedience in an outside venue For handlers or dogs that are not ready to compete off lead. To be eligible for this class dogs MUST have a Rally Novice title (RN) but may not have their Rally Advanced (RA) title prior to the close of entries. For handlers and dogs ready to perform off lead. Dogs that have a qualifying score in Advanced Rally in an outside venue. For dogs and handlers ready to perform off lead at a more advanced level. Dogs with a qualifying score in Excellent or a similar level from any outside venue. B~ Those that DO have a title in Novice Rally or obedience in an outside venue OR those that have placed in the top 4 of Novice A Rally (with a score above 170) at a state level event.
