Tufts University, Boston 2. Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge 3. Texas A&M University, College Station 4. University of California, Davis 5. University of Minnesota, St Paul Information pertaining to anatomy curricula and course presentation at these faculties was instrumental in deciding to change the course presented at the University of Pretoria from a comparative to a species-based approach. Assisted the Department of Preclinical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Zimbabwe with the development of their Anatomy curriculum. The following veterinary schools were visited in March 2000 with Prof Van der Walt to investigate the different models for an integrated Anatomy, Histology and Physiology curriculum: 1. University of Utrecht Represented the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria at the Workshop of the Regional Curriculum Committee in Debre-Ziet, Ethiopia on October This committee discussed the harmonization of the curricula of the Veterinary Faculties of East and Southern Africa and compiled a draft macro-curriculum.

5 Represented the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria at the Colloquium on veterinary training held by the Inter-States School of Veterinary Science and Medicine (EISMV) in Saly, Senegal on 6 8 June Delegates from the USA, Tunisia, Morocco and the 13 EISMV member countries were present.
