MHP s unique vertically integrated business model, intensive capital expenditure and professional personnel are key factors behind our stability and success. MHP is the leading producer of poultry products in Ukraine with the greatest market share and highest brand recognition for its products. MHP owns and operates each of the key stages of chicken production processes, from feed grains and fodder production to egg hatching and grow out to processing, marketing, distribution and sales (including through MHP s franchise outlets). Vertical integration reduces MHP s dependence on suppliers and its exposure to increases in raw material prices. In addition to cost efficiency, vertical integration also allows MHP to maintain strict biosecurity and to control the quality of its inputs and the resulting quality and consistency of its products through to the point of sale. To support its sales, MHP maintains a distribution network consisting of 15 distribution and logistical centres, within major Ukrainian cities. MHP uses its trucks for the distribution of its products, which management believes reduces overall transportation costs and delivery times. MHP also has one of the leading grain businesses in Ukraine growing corn and sunflower to support its chicken production and other grains, such as wheat, rape and barley for third party sales. MHP leases agricultural land located primarily in the highly fertile black soil regions of Ukraine. Since May 15, 2008, MHP has traded on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol MHPC.

Sales volumes of poultry increased by 18% to 525,500 tonnes (2013: 447,000 tonnes). Chicken meat export increased by 15% and reached 140,900 tonnes (2013: 123,000 tonnes). Grain growing 40% EBITDA margin By the end of 2014, MHP total land bank was 360,000 ha. In 2014 MHP gathered around 2 million tonnes of crops from 290,000 ha. Around 45% of harvested land was cultivated under corn, which is main feed crop for the Company MHP s net yields of crops are one of the highest among historic yields, and continue to be substantially higher than Ukraine s average. Since June 2014 MHP started exporting poultry to the EU with zero import duty (the preferential export regime for poultry producers of Ukraine). The Company s export volumes to the EU have grown to around 16,500 tonnes of chicken in 2014 (2013: 500 tonnes). In Q Vinnytsia poultry farm was accredited by the EU commission for export to the EU. Currently four MHP enterprises are able to export poultry products to the EU countries. Sunflower oil As a result of increased production of fodder meal at the Vinnytsia complex, in 2014 MHP increased production of sunflower oil by 23% to 296,150 tonnes (2013: 240,0 tonnes) and sold mainly for export. Meat processing operations MHP produces wide range of high-value meat processing products sold under three brand names Baschinsky, Druzhba Narodiv and Europroduct. MHP sales volumes of meat processing products decreased by 6% to 31,180 tonnes (2013: 33,2 tonnes). The portfolio is strongly guided by the consumer research, which also informs a constant programme of new product development. World class standards MHP s enterprises are certified under internationally recognised standards of quality and safety control. Over the last seven years, we have been introducing integrated food safety management systems which combine the best international and national standards. These provide common measurement tools and facilitate global marketing. Our enterprises adopted a new international certification scheme FSSC This is an international food safety management system accreditation, based on ISO 22000, that focuses on ensuring good practices in each link of the supply chain and is approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Our exporting plants are already certified according to both ISO 9001 and ISO standards and completed the transition to the new FSSC standard. This dedication to biosecurity gives us the confidence that we can continue to grow whilst maintaining our high standards of food safety. The company is slaughtering poultry according to Islamic Law under the permanent control and supervision of the representatives of HALAL and Research Center.
