Hector has collaborated in various research expeditions resulting in the discovery of numerous new taxa, as well as several rediscovered lost species. Our cover image depicts a Dickerson s Collared Lizard (Crotaphytus dickersonae) from Bahía Kino, Sonora, Mexico. Named in honor of Mary C. Dickerson, the former Curator of the Department of Herpetology at The American Museum of Natural History, the individual shown here exemplifies one of the species most striking characteristics: the brilliant aqua-marine to cobalt-blue coloration of adult male lizards.
