All entries, including waitlisted entries, must be received by the Trial Secretary by the trial s closing date of September 28, 2018, 6:00 p.m. Any entry that is withdrawn by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018, will be replaced by a waitlisted entry IF any of the fifteen (15) are available. If a withdrawn entry is replaced by a waitlisted entry, a full refund will be issued for the withdrawn entry. For the first 48 hours the trial is open, limits are set at 500 paper and 160 on-line entries. If either form of entry has not filled at the end of the 48-hour time period, the club reserves the right to decrease or increase either one accordingly. SUPPORT THE SPORT c VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! All volunteers will be given tickets for lunch and raffles. SOTC would greatly appreciate any help that you can offer to keep the rings running smoothly. ELIGIBILITY & CLASSES DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER: This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds. Bitches in season, aggressive dogs, dogs that are blind or deaf or suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect their physical or mental performance, are not eligible to participate. Mixed breed dogs that have been listed with AKC Canine Partners may participate provided their listing number has been recorded on the entry form. COURSE FAMILIARIZATION: Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without dogs, prior to the start of the class. A warm-up area consisting of a regulation agility jump shall be provided for all exhibitors. OBSTACLES: Obstacles will conform to current requirements of the Agility Regulations. All weaves will have 24" spacing. All contacts are rubberized. The new breakaway tire will be used. HEIGHT DIVISIONS: Judges or VMO will measure any dogs that do not have valid height cards. Owners/ Agents are responsible for entering the proper height divisions. All height divisions will be offered in the standard classes, the jumpers with weaves classes & T2B classes. When filling out the entry form, there is a new section at the top of the form for an exhibitor to designate whether the dog has a valid jump height card. Please check the appropriate box so that the trial secretary knows whether to include your dog on the dogs to be measured list. It is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor to have the original, official jump height card or temporary jump height form at each trial to present upon request. If a measurement is required, it is the exhibitor s responsibility to have the dog measured prior to running. (Regulations for Agility Trials, chapter 2, section 4) c Owners or handlers entering dogs in the Trial do so at their own risk and thereby agree to assume responsibility for any damage caused by them, or by their dogs. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division. All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor s responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine Partners SM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club s option. These dogs should be listed as All American Dog and must include their AKC number on the entry form and check the AKC No. box.
