Mr J Andersson (Alistairs) I live in Sweden, with my wife Nina and out three children and of course our family of Bearded Collies and one Scottie. I got my first Beardie in In 1987 we had our first litter and we were lucky to achieve our first home bred Champion CH Alias-Alistair from this litter. It was from his name that the Alistairs Kennel was established. We have bred more than 75 Champions to date, 19 of them with international titles. We are immensely proud to have been Top Breeders in Sweden from and then from 2006 to I must mention here our wonderful once in a lifetime Beardie Multi CH Alistair s Lonesome Cowboy a truly fabulous boy born in At the age of two he was a Worldwinner, he won BIS at all breed Ch show and many BOB at Ch Club shows, he was also top winning dog in 1998 and again in We are so very proud of this boy as at the age of 13 Kanelen produced a litter in the UK and his winning offspring there made him Top Sire UK in I have judged Beardies in all Scandinavian countries, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Italy, USA and Canada. I am currently on the A1 list of the UK Bearded Collie Club and had the honour of judging Bearded Collies at the Blackpool Championship Show in I am also an FCI judge of forty other breeds to date (a list of these can be found on the Alistairs website. I thoroughly enjoy judging this wonderful breed, and look for the total picture and overall balance, type, sound construction and effortless typical Beardie movement. I have been Chairman of the Swedish Bearded Collie Club for a number of years. Mr S Appleby (Diotima) We got our first Beardie, Nigella Farrier, in In 1974 we bought Blumberg Diotima Steel from Tine Bowen and Ch Ella became the foundation bitch for Diotima Bearded Collies. From Ella descend all Diotimas including an unbroken line of seven generations of bitch Champions, nine UK Champions, many overseas Champions, a Group winner and the 2004 Top Beardie. I first judged in 1975, was approved to award Challenge Certificates in Since then I have judged in Sweden, France, Belgium and Norway and both the Canadian and American Specialities. I am founder member of SCBCC, Treasurer for 11 years and subsequently Education Secretary responsible for Judges Training and the Annual Seminar. In 1999 I was accredited by the Kennel Club to provide training on the KC Show Regulations, Procedures and the Practical Aspects of Judging. I am currently Treasurer of Southern Beardie Aid a position I have held for 40 years. Mr R Ballantyne (Bustroc) I owned my first Beardie 1983, started showing in 1984 and I was hooked and have been showing ever since. Over the years I have made up 4 UK Champions as well as several Stud Book qualifiers and Junior Warrant winners, as well as my lovely dogs being Top Beardie s in 1997 Ch. Potterdale Chancellor and 2006/2007 Ch. Bustroc Drouthie Cronie JW. I first judged our lovely breed in 1988, and first awarded CC s in 2000, I have also been lucky enough to judge our breed abroad on 7 occasions. At present I am Chairman of the Bearded Collie Club (Scottish Branch) and breed representative on the Committee of Scottish Breeds. I always like to think that when I judge I give an honest opinion on the exhibits shown under me. Mrs S Bird (Bridus) profile to follow Mrs C Burscough (Kilfinan) Tony and I have owned and exhibited Bearded Collies for 22 years. In that time we have qualified 16 for the Stud Book, 11 of which were home- bred. 4 became Champions with 1 holding a dual title. In addition we have bred numerous CACIBs, CC and Res. CC winners, 3 have achieved Irish titles and 1 his Canadian title. I have been privileged to have judged 3 Breed Open Shows and 156 classes of Beardies since I have also judged classes of Shelties, Belgian Shepherds, PMDs, Skyes, Roughs, OES and Border Collies plus large variety classes at Matches. I am on the A3 lists of the BCC, BCC of Scotland, Midshires, NEBCOL and Eastern BCA, the B list of the Skye Terrier Club and Portuguese Water Dog Club. I enjoy judging, consider it an honour and view it as an opportunity to gain further valuable experience.

Mr T Burscough (Kilfinan) Chris and I have owned and exhibited Bearded Collies since In that time we have qualified 20 Bearded Collies for the Stud Book, 16 of which were home-bred. 5 have become Champions with 1 holding a dual title. The Bearded Collies we have owned and shown have won a total of 23 CC s and 18 Res CC s to date, our Beardies have also been campaigned in Ireland where they have won a number of CACIB s, and 4 have achieved Irish titles. Our dogs have achieved Best of Breed at Crufts, Group 1 Blackpool Champ Show, winner of Welsh Champions, Welsh Top Puppy, Welsh Top Junior competitions. We have also bred 2 Bearded Collies that have achieved their Champion titles in Canada. In addition to Bearded Collies we have owned and bred Skye Terriers since 1990 and Chris handled a home bred Skye to achieve 1 CC, 3 RCC s and Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts. We currently live with 11 Bearded Collies and 2 Skye Terrier. We breed only when we want a puppy for ourselves and have recently bred the 6 th generation Kilfinan Bearded Collie. In relation to judging I had the privilege of awarding CC c for the 1 st time at Border Union in 2012, and then at Birmingham National in I have also judged 4 Breed Club Open Shows and 216 classes of Beardies in the UK since I had the honour of Judging the Sweepstakes classes at the Bearded Collie Club of Club of Canada Speciality in In 2012 I was honoured to judge the Bearded Collie Club of Germany Speciality show. Outside of Bearded Collies I have also judged classes of Skye Terriers, Portuguese Water Dogs (without CC s at Champ Shows) and a number of Working and Pastoral breeds at Open Shows. I am on the A1 lists of the BCC, SCBCC, BCC of Scotland, Midshires, NEBCOL and Eastern BCC and the B list of the Skye Terrier Club and Portuguese Water Dog Club. I am a committee member of the Eastern Bearded Collie Association and the Rhyl Canine Society. I enjoy judging, consider it an honour but also view it as an opportunity to gain further valuable experience and, hopefully, contribute to maintaining the breeds wonderful character and construction for future generations. Mrs S Carter (Woodacre) Sue has loved dogs for as long as she can remember, her first dog being a spaniel who lived to the grand ol age of 17yrs. She has owned and showed Bearded Collies since 1980 and her first Beardie Woodland Merle won the Woodacre s their first CC in In 1988, Moonhills Rosy Glow of Woodacre joined the household, winning 1 CC and 2 RCC s. She was the mother of Woodacre Wynsome Blue, (4 RCC s), and the first homebred Woodacre champions Ch Woodacre Wynter Knight (7 CC s, 7 RC C s) and Ch Woodacre Wynter Star at Gelliland (3 CC s, 6 RCC s). The Woodacre team currently comprises of Ch. Woodacre Thyme to Beguile JW, Nellbrook Wynter Magic of Woodacre (!CC, 2RCC s) and the latest addition, Braemoray Dream Angus of Woodacre JW (1CC). Sue s first judging appointment was in 1983, awarding CC s in She has judged mainly in the UK including Crufts (Dogs) and also in the Netherlands and America. Sue has held the position of Treasurer for the Bearded Collie Club since 1991 and feels that it is rewarding to give something back to the breed. Mr I Copus (Rallentando) I purchased my first Bearded Collie in 1979, and under the Rallentando prefix, I have produced Champions, Best in Show and group winning dogs in England, Canada, USA and Europe. I have judged at Championship level since 1990 and have judged in England, Holland Australia and the USA. including the USA National Specialty in I have recently been approved to judge Welsh Corgis (Pembroke) and Border Collies in the USA. I have written articles for Bearded Collie magazines, some of which have been reprinted in breed magazines in, Australia, Germany and England. I have organized three Canadian National Specialties. I have served on the Board of the Bearded Collie Club of Canada as a Regional Director, Vice President and President and am presently on the Bearded Collie Club of America s Judges Education Committee, in which capacity, I have given several presentations to aspiring judges. Mrs K M Evans (Treebeard) I first started showing Bearded Collies in 1983 and have owned shown photographed and lived with them ever since. We have had ten Bearded Collies, plus some to stay/show for friends and several rescue dogs have been guests, all live in the house as part of the family, we have won Champion title, CC, Stud Book Numbers, Junior Warrants, my personal favourite was winning Best in Show at the Bearded Collie Club

Show. We breed very occasionally. I have tried to put something back into the breed working for this & other clubs. I have attended Seminars and passed the Judging Diploma and the Kennel Club s required seminars etc before awarding CCs. I can think of no better way of spending a day than surrounded by this lovely breed and having the pleasure of assessing their merits when judging is a bonus. Mrs Y Fox (Bushblades) We got our first Beardie in 1988 as a pet but were persuaded to show her - and got hooked! I started handling our Beardies in 1992, although from the beginning I had watched them being judged and read everything I could about the breed. We have bred 5 Champions, 4 bitches, one of whom is also a Dutch Champion, and one Champion dog who was also top Puppy in 2007 and top Junior in 2008, as well as several other RCC winners and two CC winners. I did not start judging at Open shows until 1998 feeling it important to get a thorough grounding in construction and movement and the specifics of the breed, although I had judged at Exemption shows and Match nights prior to that - a great learning experience! I was Secretary of the Bearded Collie Club for 11 years and I have also been Chairman of one of its Branches. I remain as Secretary for the Joint Breed Liaison Committee dedicated to the health, welfare and development of our breed. I first awarded CCs in 2008 and I have also judged in Germany and Sweden. I believe it is a great honour to be asked to judge your breed and I have always enjoyed my judging appointments and the interesting challenges they present. Mrs R Haywood (Binbusy) I owned Beardies for over 35 years and up until my Husband, Steve died in May 2000 was very active in the Breeding and Showing of our lovely Breed. I was also Treasurer of the Bearded Collie Club for 13 years. Together we bred over 20 litters and provided the foundation stock for a number of successful Breeders both in the UK and Abroad. Nowadays I am content to continue with my judging career. I first judged Beardies in 1982 and gave my first set of tickets at the Welsh KC Show in August 1988 the same day Ch. Binbusy Cadence was whelping her first litter so not ideal timing! Over the years I have judged many of the major UK Championship Shows and Club Shows and judged the Bitches at Crufts in I have also judged Beardies many times abroad all over Europe, in the USA and in Australia. I hope to continue judging both at home and abroad for many years to come as my way of giving something back to the Breed that is very dear to my heart. Mr A Hood (Bryonyhill) I have owned Bearded Collies and shown them actively since 1985 when I purchased my first Beardie Bumbleridges Hoodwinked a blue male Flint he lived to the ripe old age of 17 years. Since then I have shown actively at both Open and Championship Shows for over 28 years. I have bred 14 CC winners and 16 Reserve CC winners along with 3 UK Champions and fifteen dogs qualified at Stud Book. I have been judging since 2001 and gave tickets for the first time this year at Wndsor Ch. Show. I take the honour of judging our breed very seriously and whether judging at Open or Championship shows I judge to the breed standard. Mr J Horswell (Drakesleat) Jeff has been going to dog shows from an early age. It all started when his mother (Ann Foxwell) having decided that a Great Dane was the ideal breed for a family pet, and they deciede to go along to a local show. A show Dane followed and the Auldmoor Great Dane kennel has gone on to produce a steady stream of Champions, both in the UK and around the world. Jeff decided to have a Miniature Wire Dachshunds as his own breed. 23 Min Wire Champions have been made up by him, including 3 Crufts BOB winners and 4 Group winners. There has also been a Champion Greyhound and 2 Show Champion Field Spaniels. Jeff first judged in 1982, and first awarded CC s in Jeff is approved to award Cc s in breeds across all 7 UK Groups, along with BIS. He has judged at Crufts several times.

Mr M James (Waterley) I started showing Old English Sheepdogs some 40 years ago. Starting with a dog from a puppy farm! I took this dog to many shows by public transport and he actually had a good pedigree and as a 15-year-old boy I was very exited when my dog qualified for Crufts and I am very excited about judging the breed there in 2016 it is a dream come true. When I was 17 I went to work in the Netherlands for a very famous kennel.the Reeuwijk kennel was very well known for OES but also had Briards, and Schapendoes a Dutch herding dog and also some Shih Tzu s. This was a very good schooling for me in all aspects of pedigree dogs. I handled the dogs all over Europe. Dogs such as Ch. Reuwijks Care for Beauty, Ch Ellenglaze Ladies Choice and Ch Fezziwig Honey Bun to name a few. These dogs are way back in the pedigrees of many top-winning dogs of today around the world. Mrs Backx Bennink was my mentor and a great character. Later I started the Tuckles kennels in partnership with Stuart Mallard who was living in Holland at the time. And again we had many super dogs. Winning with several OES and Bouviers and Tibetan Terriers. I lived in the Netherlands for over 10 years and took all their exams to become a judge of several working & Pastoral breeds including Bearded Collies. I have judged the breed at many all-breed shows and breed club shows all over the world. I have judged the breed at FCI World shows. I discovered the delights of the Tibetan terrier by accident as a friend was breeding them along with her OES and had one female that was a lot of trouble you guessed it I ended up with her! At present I only own Tibetan Terriers with my partner Glenn Davies. In the original breed standard Tibetan Terriers were described as miniature OES! So I feel that I still have a small connection to the breed. This breed is the only one that I have at home. I am very involved with the breed club being its Chairman for several years. I am also on the breed Health subcommittee. I have 10 Tibetan Terriers at home; they have such a unique character and definitely still have an air of mystique about them from their Tibetan origins. Which is something I admire in all the Tibetan breeds? We have done very well with our Waterley Tibetan terriers winning many BIS at breed club shows both here in the UK and in Europe. We have also won BOB breed at Crufts several times and once won both best dog and best bitch, it was a great day for us. We have owned the top TT in the UK for the last two years. We have owned and bred several Champions and sent several dogs abroad that have become champions for their new owners. I have judged in many countries in Europe, Scandinavia, and also Australia and New Zealand. I am very pleased to have judged Tibetan Terriers at Crufts in I am very pleased to be doing Old English Sheepdogs at Crufts in 2016.I only judge breeds that I would really love to own! Mrs L Jay (Talraz) Our first Beardie 'Razzle' (Rayre's Rhapsody in Blue) arrived in 1979 and was soon joined by 'Tallie' (Deanfield Black Lace of Talraz). Between them they supplied the inspiration for our affix - Talraz - and taught us a lot. Razzle was bright and bouncy and a fun dog to train, introducing us to obedience, basic agility and working trials, and the Beardie Working tests - notably failing her Senior test by a whisker on both attempts (!), whereas Tallie became our first 'proper' show dog and from her descended all our current bunch of Beardies. Over the years there have been many highs and lows as Mick and I share our lives with this wonderful breed. Showing is endlessly fascinating, and judging too, as the show rings shape the Beardies of the next generation. I have always maintained an interest in the working side, especially the original job of work which is herding, as I would not want to lose sight of the breed's true appeal, as an intelligent and sound working companion. I have judged regularly since the early 80s and awarded CCs for the first time at Birmingham National in I have also judged in Germany and France. Mrs W Knowles (Tonwynde) In 1989 my husband and I bought our first Bearded Collie dog, he was brown/white and bought as a pet. We were encouraged by friends to show him and the outcome was that Sam became Ch Flosswood Rum Punch. In 1991 Sam sired his first litter and along came Benson, Haylane High Society at Tonwynde. In 1992 we bought our third Bearded Collie dog who was Smokey, Spinningdale Silver Sunset at Tonwynde (1CC). Although we no longer show we do still have a very keen interest in the breed. I enjoy judging our wonderful breed, and in 2010 gave my first set of CCs at Darlington Championship Dog Show, attracting a

strong entry. I shall be Judging Bearded Collies at Driffield Championship Show in October When the opportunity arises, I judge other Pastoral breeds, and am currently on the 'B' List for Scottish Border Collies. Stewarding for local Societies and Championship Shows helps keep me in touch with new legislation, and affords me the opportunity to help the Societies in my area. Mrs J Lanning (Clausentum) I have judged Bearded Collies in all the leading shows, in all continents, including Crufts. Club Shows several times. I judge over 70 breeds across all the Groups including Best in Show at Crufts I am told I am the most senior judge of your breed (?) Mrs D Mottram (Mybeards) Sheba my first beardie was born in 1981 and I began showing a few years later and then progressed to judging. I awarded CC s for the first time in I have since judged them several times at Ch Shows in the UK, also the Winners Show at Amsterdam, Norwegian Club Show, Czech Club Show, the Bundessieger in Germany, Warsaw International Show, bitches at NEBCC Ch Show in 2008 and BIS for the Eastern Bearded Collie Association in I enjoyed serving as a committee member of the NEBCC for several years. Because of my involvement with Polish Lowland Sheepdogs I no longer own or show beardies; however I feel very privileged to judge the breed when asked, as they are generally super sound healthy exhibits with that added beardie personality and the sportsmanship of the exhibiters always makes for a very pleasant day. Mrs S O Brien (Sammara) My first Beardie was bought in 1958 on an impulse. She was a very special dog and she was shown in obedience and variety classes at Exemption dog shows, with great success. I became very interested in the breed and in 1962 I visited Mrs Willison (Bothkennar) with my Beardie and Mrs Willison showed me the now legendary Bothkennar Beardies. After University I bought my first pure bred Bearded Collie for the show ring and in 1975 the Sammara Kennel was formed with my husband Willie O Brien. We have to date owned and bred an Eng. Am. Can. Champion, eleven English Champions and many more overseas Champions, including three UK Top Dogs (Tambora Points Trophy winners) in the breed. We have consistently bred quality Beardies over thirty five years many of which were exported overseas to form the basis of other kennels. We are currently still showing at the highest level and have qualified two of our Beardies for Crufts My judging career began in Initially, I judged at Open Shows and subsequently I was approved to award Challenge Certificates in I have been invited to be a mentor on several occasions at Judges Training days which are organised by the Breed Clubs. I have awarded Challenge Certificates regularly at General Championship shows and my appointments have included South Wales Kennel Association, National Working and Pastoral Breeds Dog Society, Windsor Dog Show Society, East of England Agricultural Society, Eastern Bearded Collie Association, Richmond Dog Show Society, Boston and District Canine Society and many more that are too numerous to mention. In 2009 I had the honour of judging the bitches at Crufts Dog Show. My judging career has also included many overseas judging appointments. I have judged in numerous European Countries to include, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic and I have also judged in America and Canada. I have previously visited The Bearded Collie Club of America Speciality, as an observer and in September 2012 I judged their Speciality in California. Mrs G O Connell (Atherleigh) My first Beardie was born in 1983, a slate daughter of Blumberg de Roos Erasmus. She was quite a challenge after the OES I had shown in the 1970 s. I showed her with little success and retired her to have our first litter in I then had the opportunity to own and make up the beautiful Ch. Potterdale Phorget-me-Not. Also joining us was the lovely slate Potterdale Anastasia of Atherleigh, the foundation of our small kennel. Her daughter, Ch. Atherleigh Over the Rainbow JW, was top brood in 2008 and is the dame of 4 Champions, 2 CC winners and RCC winner. Very few litters have been bred (32 puppies in total) but I am lucky that among them there have been 5 Champions, 2 CC winners, 4 RCC winners and others with Stud Book numbers. I judged my first Open Show in 1993, including 3 Club Shows, awarding

CC s for the first time in I have been privileged to judge in Sweden and Germany and will be judging the Belgium Bearded Collie Club Show in August Mark and I share our home with 3 Beardies, a daughter and 2 granddaughters of our much missed Lucy (Over the Rainbow). Mrs L Pierson (Kiltondale) I first encountered a Beardie when I was 14 years old, this turned out to be Deanfield Autumn Gold owned by Jackie Goulder, our shepherdess where we take our Beardies to do what comes naturally. I got my 1 st Beardie from Bryony Harcourt-Brown when I was 16 and soon became hooked on showing. To date I have made up 4 Champions in the breed, 3 owner/bred and 1 I had to show while he was in this country. At present I have 5 Beardies, 3 females and 2 males and usually breed a litter when we want a puppy to show or if I have families willing to wait for one of our puppies. We have a male from Sweden, who is proving to be a useful boy as he brings down COI and up-to-now, hip scores too. I started judging in 1994 and in 2006 I awarded CC s for the 1 st time and have now awarded 3 sets of CC s in the UK and judged over-seas on 3 occasions with appointments in the future. I have judged BIS at Open Show level and find judging other breeds I m interested in fascinating. There never will be another breed that will compare to a Beardie, to me, the ultimate dog, a friend and wonderful companion. Mrs F Richards (Elemark) I have owned Beardies since 1978 and first judged the breed at Open Show level in I judged at Championship show level for the first time in In June this year I judged dogs at the Finnish Bearded Collie Speciality Show. This was my first judging appointment abroad. I have made up one bitch to Champion and have bred CC, reserve CC, Junior Warrant and Show Certificate of Merit winners in the breed. I have bred only 5 litters in the 35 years I have owned Beardies, the first being in 1988 and the most recent in I also owned 2 Australian Shepherds who have since died at ripe old ages, and had a lot of fun showing in the Import Register classes with them. I also now judge that breed at championship level. I also judge Border Collies at Open Show level including 2 Club Open Shows. However, I love the Beardie as a Breed above all other. I was founder member of the Eastern Bearded Collie Association and served on the Committee for many years, mostly as Cup Steward, also on the Judges Sub-Committee. I was also on the National Australian Shepherd Association Committee for 6 years and I am still on their Judges Sub-Committee. I own a horse and with my daughter belong to a distance riding group. If I am not at a dog show at the weekend, I am most likely to be found riding somewhere like Thetford Forest. Mr G Spurrier (Geliland) I purchased my first Beardie, Tambora's Brown Sugar at Geliland, after seeing Margaret Osborne award Ch Osmart Bonnie Blue Braid BOB at Crufts in Brown Sugar was bred by Jackie Tidmarsh from Braid ex Ch Edelweiss of Tambora. After having reasonable success in the showring with Brown Sugar, I showed two of his grandchildren, both of whom gained RCCs. Another became an American Champion (Ch Geliland Black Bawbee at Chaniam) who went BIS all breeds, and another a Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian Champion (Ch Geliland Morning Miracle). My first homebred Champion was 'Disney', Ch Geliland Star of the Screen, who sired two English and two Irish Champions. By the age of 3, Disney had won every trophy the Bearded Collie Club had to offer Top Puppy (Orora Trophy), Top Junior (Willison Trophy), and Top Dog (Tambora Trophy). When Disney was awarded his second CC under Anne Wilding (Bendale), he went BIS at Scottish Breeds Championship Show under Jum Currie. I have shown Breeze (Ch Geliland Sea Breeze), a Disney great grandson who, as well as having great success in the ring, being the top Beardie in the UK for 2007 and 2008 and winning the Tambora trophy, has also qualified as a Pets as Therapy dog (PAT). I first judged Beardies in the 1980s, was approved to award CCs in 1992 and awarded my first set of CCs in Besides extensive judging in the UK, I ve judged in Holland, Denmark, Finland and Germany. On Friday 4 th July, I will be judging the Great Lakes Bearded Collie Club Speciality in Detroit, Michagan, USA. am also a Life Member of the Bearded Collie Club. I have been a full member of the Kennel Club since For a number of years I served as Membership Secretary of the Bearded Collie Club. Outside of dogs one of my hobbies is raising money for charity and I am authorised by Teenage Cancer Trust to hold fundraising events on their behalf. There is now Teen Cancer America, an organisation established to replicate the work her in the UK.

Mrs J Steel (Spinningdale) I have owned Bearded Collies for over 30 years. In that time I have served on the North of England Committee, of which I was founder member. I have bred only 2 litters once from my foundation bitch, Briaridge Blue Rose. From her litter I kept a bitch who became Spinningdale Sunset Sonata, both girls were successful in the show ring, with Sunset Sonata still taking awards in her vintage years at the age of 15. Having decided not to continue breeding, I purchased in the year 2000 Menander Starstruck of Spinningdale who gained 1 CC with Best of Breed and 2 Reserve CC s. I began my Judging career in 1986, and have gone on to award CC s in the breed having judged at both General Championship, and Breed Club Shows. Mr M Taylor (Bruernish) In partnership with my wife, we have owned and shown Beardies for over thirty years, and gained BOB at Cruft s with a Champion bitch in Our Bruernish affix was granted in 1982, and we bred our first litter in 1989; in all we have bred four litters and qualified seven Beardies for the KC Stud Book. Sadly we were unable to campaign our home bred CC winner to his title due to family health problems. I first judged Beardies in 1984, and awarded CCs for the first time in 1996, and have judged them on a regular basis both here and overseas since then. I am now passed to award CCs in four other Pastoral breeds, (Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Rough Collies and Polish Lowland Sheepdogs ), and was honoured to judge the latter at Crufts in It has been my good fortune over the years to have judged most of the other breeds in the Pastoral and Working Groups, both Groups and Best in Show at Open Show level, and have judged Club Shows for both Briards and Old English Sheepdogs. I am currently on B Lists for Briards, Hungarian Pulis, Old English Sheepdogs, Pyrenean Sheepdogs (Long Haired), Shetland Sheepdogs and Bernese Mountain Dogs. I always enjoy judging these, and other breeds in the Pastoral and Working Groups, but Beardies are, and always will be my first love; we have co-existed with twelve wonderful Beardies over the years and it has been a privilege to know them all. Mrs S Taylor (Bruernish) Between 1980 and 1982 four Beardies from the Davealex kennel came to share our lives and my love of the breed has endured since then. Our first bitch, Davealex Royle Bianco at Bruernish gained her title in 1985 and was declared Best of Breed at Crufts in 1987 where she was shortlisted in the then Working Group. Our Bruernish affix was granted in 1982 and we bred our first litter in l989; in all we have bred four litters and qualified seven Beardies for the KC Stud Book. Sadly we were unable to campaign our home bred CC winner to his title due to family health problems. I first judged in 1984 and was passed to award CCs in 1997 since when I have judged on a regular basis. I also award CCs in Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. I consider myself lucky to also judge other Pastoral breeds. Groups and BIS at Open Show level. Mick and I have been involved with the breed for well over thirty years, we have co-existed with 12 wonderful Beardies and it has been a privilege to know them all. Mr G Woolley (Aratika) We acquired our first Beardie Gemma in 1987 after seeing the Winalot advert with a Beardie jumping a 5 bar gate, this was followed by our second Beardie in1990 Mybeards Mosiac (Soula) who started our show career from this point we were hooked. In 1994 we mated Soula and had our first litter and the Aratika kennel was born, we have had the good fortune of winning 2 junior warrants, 5 stud book numbers and 2 RCC s from our lovely dogs. My judging career started in1999 at Nuneaton C.S. I have Judged 2 breed club open shows Midshires & Eastern Beardie, Progressing up the lists to judge my first Championship Show At East of England in 2013.
