1 Sept 11 I was taken VPH orientation. I learned epidemiology framework that is Rabies control by Dr.Suporn. At night I joined welcome party. I talk with Thai student who is participant of AIMS program. It was a hard day for first day. Sept 12 I learned statistics on computer by Dr.suwicha. Dr.suwicha taught me kindly so that I understood statistics deeper than that I have learned in japan. And I learned basics of statistics for example descript, inferential and association. Sept 13 I learned statistical analysis for quantitative data by Dr.suwicha. There are many type of statistical analysis. So I think it is difficult to master all of them. I will do my best to make those analysis useful. Sept 14 I learned Sampling, Sample size determination, Risk determination and Measurement of association. Dr. Kansuda taught us by computer and our smartphone. I learned how to calculate Sample size easily using computer and smartphone. Sept 15 I went to Suvarnabhumi Airport. It was my first time to go to the airport to see the veterinarian s job and I learned a lot. I saw sniffer dogs in addiction to I learned their job. They are very cute. Sept 16

2 Sept 17 Sept 18 I designed and planed for case study continued from the last week. I planed to data collect for tomorrow. And we made a proposal for presentation on Friday. I went to Lopburi and learned how to data collect, Lopburi is so far from Sept 19 Bangkhen. And I learned monkey that lives in Mt. Era Wan and around it. It is interest. At night I continued our homework. We stayed in Lopburi tonight. Sept 20 I learned how to data collect following from on yesterday. We went to landfill in Lopburi and collected soil. And we collected underground water from local house. After that we went to temple and saw a lot of monkey. Sept 21 Today was the preparation day for presentation tomorrow. We got some advice from Dr. Suporn. I would like to do my best to make it tomorrow well. Sept 22 We did presentation of case study that was homework. We spent a lot of time making presentation, but we were told many our faults by Dr. Sporn. We have to take over it as homework again. I ll do my best. Sept 23

3 Sept 24 Sept 25 It was first day of small animal surgery. At first I didn t know what to do because we didn t receive surgery orientation. I observed surgery of pyometra. I was able to see surgery nearby. It was great learning. Sept 26 Today s my subject was dentistry. I was nervous because practice alone. But it was okay because faculty taught me kindly. I saw tartar removal. And actually I removed tartar. It was an experience I cannot do in Japan. Sept 27 Today s my subject was emergency. I was overwhelmed by a very busy section. I observed a surgery of urethra calculus. Urethrostomy was too difficult to understand only seeing so I saw while watching a textbook. Sept 28 Today s my subject was soft tissue. But I did assistant of orthopedic surgery. It was surgery a dog whose owner is princess. So I was little nervous. I taught that s Royal University!! Sept 29 It was the last day of small animal surgery. Today s my subject was soft tissue. I saw surgery to take mammary tumor. It was class in the morning only. I appreciate the doctors who kindly taught me. Sept 30

4 Oct 1 Oct 2 I studied hematology. While watching the results of blood test I guessed the disease. After that we discussed the disease. Dr. Golf taught us kindly so I understood deeply. Oct 3 I learned necropsy. We did necropsy two dogs. It was my first time to dissect a dog. A dog of our team was tumor cervical spine. In the afternoon we discussed the two dogs. Oct 4 I learned neurology. Neurology is very difficult, but I learned easily by taking an actual patient as an example. I felt that my knowledge of technical terms was insufficient. Oct 5 In the morning I learned about exotic animal. I studied POMR and DAMNITV again in English. And I learned rabbit disease. In the afternoon I learned about swine disease. In Thailand swine product is developed so I learned a lot. Oct 6 I learned about horse. In japan I studied a little bit about horse. So I learned a lot. It is difficult to learn about horse disease. In the afternoon we had no training. Oct 7

5 Oct 8 Oct 9 I studied microbiology and pathology by case study about swine disease. In this week we are going to study with Thai student. They are so kind and good at English. I felt I must strive to improve my English skill under the influence of Thai student. Oct 10 Continuing from yesterday we studied about swine disease. In the morning we did presentation about our homework. In the afternoon we did PCR and determined pathogen. Oct 11 I studied about cat disease by case study. We discuss a cat that has abdominal distension and anorexia. I couldn t say that I thought so that I keenly felt lack my knowledge.. Oct 12 Following from yesterday I studied about cat disease. In the morning we discuss it. And the afternoon I did RT-PCR. It was valuable experience because it was my first time. I thank for faculty and I great appreciate all Thai student kindness. 6 Oct 15 Oct 16 Today was first day of veterinary internal medicine. My team has five people but I am only student from RGU. Other four students are from University of Tokyo. They were so kind so that I think I will be able to go well. Oct 17 Today s subject is radiology. In the morning I observed doctor do ultra sound. And we discuss the patient. In the afternoon I learned CT and MRI. It was first time to see doing CT so that it was valuable experience for me. Oct 18 Today I went to CCU. In the morning we gave the patient each person of my team. And the afternoon we talked about each case to doctor. My case is fetal death and pneumonia. I think it is better than before surgery so I hope that she can leave hospital earlier. Oct 19 In the morning I went to OPD. In the afternoon I went to feline clinic. We do the physical examination and neurological examination. It was my first time to do neurological examination to cat. Oct 20 It was final day of internal medicine. Today s subject was feline. It had few patient today. So I just observed. I appreciate all the doctor involved in this week. And I thank for Todai student s kindness. Oct 21

8 Oct 29. Oct 30 Today was my first day in kamphangsaen campus. This week I am going to learn in horse unit. I learned how to take care for horse. We have to take care for horse for two weeks. Oct 31 I learned physical examination of horse. It was first time to do physical examination of horse. So I had valuable experience. I heard gas sound and I checked it was normal or not. Nov 1 Today was surgery day of horse unit. Doctor did operation of pythiosis. There is no pythiosis in japan. So it was difficult to understand content of surgery. But I have to do report the surgery so I studied about pythiosis. Nov 2 I learned ultra sound of horse. I observed breeding examination by ultra sound. It was first time to see the ultra sound examination of horse. So I had a valuable experience. Nov 3 Today s treatment was only in the morning. So I was free in the afternoon. Today was Loy Krathong festival in Thailand. I joined the festival. I was able to experience the culture. Nov 4

9 Nov 5 Nov 6 Today we had no new case. So we took care for our horse usually. I did hoof cleaning. It was little difficult. We have to do presentation on this Friday. So we talk about our presentation. Nov 7 I went to military facility and I saw veterinarian working. I saw the horse suddenly dying before my very eyes. It was disappointing, but it was also interesting thing. We did necropsy the horse and discussed the horse. Nov 8 I did not have practical training but I have a class by Dr. Ari. She thought us kindly so I could understand cryptorchidism. After the class, I observed surgery of cryptorchidism actually. Nov 9 Today was final day that I did practice in equine unit. In equine unit, I had a lot of good experience for two weeks. I prepared for tomorrow presentation and examination until midnight. Nov 10 Today was presentation day. We did a presentation of our case. And we discussed our case with doctor. In the afternoon, I took an examination. I appreciate for all doctor in equine unit. Nov 11

10 Nov 12 Nov 13 Today was first day of bovine unit1. I went to the farm. In the morning, I observed AI. In the afternoon, I did a clinical examination to cow and gave a treatment. Today I went to the farm around university again. The farm which I went Nov 14 today was very dirty so I surprised. The farm had a lot of cow that had lameness. So doctor gave a treatment to the cow and education to the owner. Nov 15 In the morning, I stayed the hospital. Doctor did a surgery for intestinal hernia cow. I did assistant. I sutured and it went well. After the class, we discuss our case with doctor. Nov 16 I went to farm. In the morning, I did rectal palpation until noon. In japan, I did rectal palpation a little. So it was valuable experience. In the afternoon, we prepared for tomorrow presentation. Nov 17 In the morning, I was free so I did practice for presentation. In the afternoon, I did a presentation. It went well. I appreciate for doctor in the bovine1 unit. Nov 18

11 Nov 19 Nov 20 Today was first day of bovine unit2. I went to demonstration farm in university. I learned feed for cow. There were lots of differences in feed between japan and Thailand, and I learned a lot. Nov 21 Nov 22 In the morning, I learned rectal palpation and ultra sound. It was my first time to do ultra sound for cow. So it was valuable experience. In the afternoon, I prepared for presentation tomorrow. Nov 23 Today was last day of bovine unit2. I did presentation about difference of economic between corn husk and pineapple peel. I think I did well. I thank for bovine unit teacher. Nov 24 Nov 25

12 Nov 26 Nov 27 Today was my first day of Nong Pho bovine unit. I went to Nong Pho in the morning. Nong pho is so rural area in Thailand. And it has a lot of cow. This week, we will go to many farm in Nong Pho, and see many cow. In the morning, I went to a farm with a retain placenta cow. Although I Nov 28 had opportunity to go to various farm only when I came to Thailand, I often saw cow has reproductive disease. So I felt again that reproductive problem is one of the important issue of cow. In the morning, I went to a farm. The farm has a cow that is ketosis. We Nov 29 did some treatment for ketosis. And doctor gave me some homework about ketosis. So, in the afternoon, I did homework and talk with my friends. Nov 30 Today was my final day of Nong Pho bovine unit because we will have to do procedure to extend VISA tomorrow. I helped Thai friends work for tomorrow presentation. I thank for Nong Pho clinician teaching. Dec 1 Dec 2

13 Dec 3 Today was first day of exotic unit. We went to Bang Khen campus. We are Dec 4 taught by Dr. Pornchai. And we did physical examination to bird. Various species came to exotic unit for example bird, rabbit, sugar, squirrel, and turtle. I had fun to see many animals. Dec 5 Dec 6 Today, we went to Bang Khen cumpus also to join exotic unit. I did history taking to owner of rabbit, lizard, and turtle. And I observed some anthelmintic treatment. It was good experience for me. I joined wild life unit. In the morning and half of afternoon, we watched Dec 7 some videos of elephant. After that I observed hoof cutting of elephant. And I feed banana to the elephant. It was nice experience. But I wanted to go out as other groups did. Dec 8 Today was final day of this problem. We did presentation as general overview. I had learned and experience so much in this program. I appreciate faculty and my Thai friends. Dec 9
