SHOW REGULATIONS 1. The Show will be held under licence and Rules of the Irish Kennel Club Ltd. as in force on the Tuesday, 27th December 2016. 2. ALL DOGS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE IRISH KENNEL CLUB LTD [I.KC. Rule 7 Section 1 applies] 3. VENUE: The Show will be held at The I.K.C. National Show Centre, Cloghran, Dublin on Tuesday, 27th December 2016, between the hours of 10.00am and 6pm. Judging: Breed will commence at 11.00 am; Junior Handling at 10.30 am. 4. ENTRY FEE: For 1st Dog 21.00 ( 21.00 Stg) TO INCLUDE IKC LEVY Additional Dogs 8.00 each; ( 8.00 Stg) Junior Handling Free if entered in breed otherwise 5.00; ( 5.00 Stg) Brace Stakes 8.00; Champion Stakes 8.00; ( 8.00 Stg) Puppy Stakes 8.00, ( 8.00 Stg) Not For Competition 5.00, ( 5.00 Stg) Baby Puppy 8.00, ( 8.00 Stg) Veteran Stakes 8.00, ( 8.00 Stg) Veterans need not be entered in Breed Class Car Park: 5.00 on the day. Online entry closes at midnight on the Sunday, 27th November 2016 The promoting body shall have the right to refuse any entry. Exhibitors will be expected to pay the appropriate Bank fee for any cheque returned R.D. by the Bank. 5. INELIGIBLE ENTRIES: A transfer of an incorrect entry as to sex or breed may be allowed by the Secretary prior to the commencement of judging and a dog entered in an age class for which it is not eligible may be transferred to the next appropriate age class. 6. EACH EXHIBITOR shall be responsible for keeping their exhibit under control at all times. ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES ANYWHERE ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. ALL EXHIBITORS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING A SCOOPER AND PLASTIC BAG ETC to remove any fouling made by their dogs and any other litter on any part of the Show Ground as they are liable to a fine of 25 for failure to do so. EXHIBITORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WEAR A BADGE OR OTHER DECORATION IN THE BREED JUDGING RING save the Ring Number of the exhibit which must be displayed clearly by the exhibitor. No person will be allowed in any judging ring save the Judge, Show Official and Exhibitors taking in a dog for adjudication.

7. JUDGING: BREED JUDGING WILL COMMENCE AT 11.00, JUNIOR HANDLING 10.30 am. In the event of the appointed Judge failing to keep his or her appointment, the Promoting Body shall have the right to appoint another Judge or Judges in his or her place and the Promoting Body further reserves the right to change the Judge in any breed when it is found necessary. The Promoting Body shall not be responsible for the exhibition of any dog in the Ring. In the event of any exhibitor requesting a Steward or other official to handle his or her exhibit in the ring, any such action is on the behalf of the owner and does not involve the Promoting Body in any responsibility whatever for loss or damage, consequential or otherwise. 8. CATALOGUES: The Promoting Body shall not be responsible for any loss, direct or indirect, occasioned by any mistake or omission in the Catalogue. In any such case the exhibitor should immediately inform the ring Steward if the judging is in progress, otherwise the exhibitor should immediately report the Catalogue inaccuracy at the Secretary s Office. 9. NOTICE: All announcements appearing in any Dog Columns of the National Press newspaper prior to the closing of entries or in reference to any alterations made by the Promoting Body in the schedule or in these Regulations shall be deemed sufficient notice thereof. 10. INTERPRETATION: The Committee of the Promoting Club shall be the Show Committee within the meaning of the I.K.C. Rules and all disputes, if any, shall be dealt with by the Committee. Parties to any dispute shall have the right to appeal to the Irish Kennel Club Ltd. 11. ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE: The Promoting Body will not be responsible for any loss or damage sustained by exhibits, exhibitors, or other persons attending the show through accident or othewise. RULES FOR GROUP JUDGING and BEST IN SHOW 1. The Promoting Body will not accept any responsibility, nor be under any obligation to see that dogs eligible to compete are exhibited in their particular Groups, or for Best in Show, other than announcing in the ring that judging is about to take place. The Promoting Body will not accept any responsibility in the case of an exhibit that is excluded from competing in a Group, owing to the judging of its breed not having been completed, or for any other reason. 2. Competition in Group Classes will be confined to undefeated winners in their breed. 3. No dog shall be entitled to compete in a Group where any prize or award has been withheld from it in its breed at the show. 4. A fee will not be payable for entry in any of the Groups nor for Best in Show. 5. Groups will be divided into ten sections - as defined in the Irish Kennel Club Rules & Regulations. 6. Upon entering the Group Ring Competitors must produce their correct ring number. 7. In each Group and Best in Show the judges shall make the following awards: viz., 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. to 4th place, absentees MUST be marked. 8. Competition for Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show is confined to the winners of the ten groups. 9. If your Group Judging has not commenced before 4.30 pm a Best of Breed winner may leave the show but must notify the Show Secretary in writing that the exhibit will not be present for the Group Judging. Otherwise all exhibits qualified for the Group must be exhibited therein. An exhibit failing to report for the Group will incur a fine of 50 and be disqualified from all wins on the day, unless a valid reason is lodged with the Show Secretary before judging commences.

Notice for Schedule The Stakes Classes scheduled at this Show are separate from the Breed Judging and do not come under the rules of the Green Star System, e.g. An exhibit which has been beaten in a Stakes Class but wins Best of Breed may proceed to compete in its relevant Group. All exhibits who wish to enter Stakes Classes must be entered in their relevant Breed Classes with the exception of Champions/ Veterans who may enter the Stakes Class only. A separate judge other than the Best in Show or Group judge must be used for stakes classes (Best in Show qualifed) (effective from the 1st January 2011) The Japanese Akita The Japanese Akita as a breed no longer exists. There is now two breeds; American Akita and Akita Inu - both these breeds have their own standards. Once a dog has been assessed as being of either of the two breeds it can be shown in the appropriate classes. This means that in future both breeds should be classified in the schedule and there should be an identical classification for those dogs yet to be assessed. (Class 1 Akita Inu, Class 2 American Akita and Class 3 Akita Inu/American Akita (not yet assessed) At all shows where there are entries of unassessed Akitas, three of the assessors on the panel drawn up by the Irish Kennel Club will be asked to attend and divide the dogs prior to the judging of the breeds. VIDEOS It is a Kennel Club regulation that permission must be sought from the Show promoting body for the use of video or other recording equipment. Permission must also be obtained from the judge in the ring on the day. CLASSIFICATION FOR ALL BREEDS WHERE APPLICABLE Dogs: Baby Puppy Puppy Junior Intermediate Open Champion Veteran Field Trial Bitches: Baby Puppy Puppy Junior Intermediate Open Champion Veteran Field Trial Stakes: Brace Stakes Champion Stakes Puppy Stakes Veteran Junior Handling Classes: 10-12 years 13-14 years 15-17 years CLASS DEFINITIONS (The word "Dog" denotes both sexes) Baby Puppy Class is confined to puppies of 4 months of age and under 6 months of age on the day of the show. Baby puppies are confined to this class and may not compete for any other award other than Best Puppy in Show. Puppy Class is confined to dogs over 6 and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show. Junior Class is confined to dogs over 9 and under18 months of age on the day of the Show. Intermediate Class is confined to dogs over 15 and under 24 months of age on the day of the Show. Open Class is confined to dogs over 15 months of age on the day of the Show. Champion Class is confined to dogs that have attained the Title of Champion under the Rules and Regulations of the Irish Kennel Club or other Kennel Authority recognised by the Irish Kennel Club. Veteran Class is confined to dogs over 8 years of age on the day of the Show. A Veteran Dog who is a Champion may enter in either Veteran or Champion Class but NOT both. Brace Class is for two exhibits of the same or different sexes of the same breed belonging to the same person, each exhibit having been entered in some class other than Brace. Field Trial Class is confined to dogs who have won at least a reserve in a Puppy, Novice, Derby or Open Stakes as defined in the Field Trial Rules & Regulations. (A copy of the relevant win at a Field Trial must accompany the entry form.) N.B. A Dog or Bitch may be entered in ONE BREED CLASS ONLY (no double entries) The decisive date in respect of age is the day the dog is shown. Note: All dogs entered must be registered or transferred at the Irish Kennel Club in the name of the Exhibit.

DOGS ENTERED NOT FOR COMPETITION Dogs which are not being exhibited at all Breed Championship Shows must be entered as NOT FOR COMPETITION, for insurance purposes, prior to close of entries. Dogs to be entered on a form supplied by the show promoting society giving details of breed(s) and name(s) of each dog. The show promoting society shall issue a pass or passes to such dogs and keep a record of same. Production of passes may be requested in any area of dispute.
