It s a time for reflection of what s most important in our life, family, friends and all of our pets. We received a check of $25 from Bank of America employee(s) recently. We entered the link to find out the name(s) of contributors but it didn t work. Thank you, whomever you are for this donation. Our annual holiday party will be held Thursday, December 15 th starting at 7:30 p.m. This is a potluck dinner meeting and party. Come early as the club house fills quickly! Please let Jennifer Gorman, jegorman@bellsouth.net, know what type of dish you plan to bring so we can have a variety of meats, casseroles, side dishes and of course, baked goodies. Last year we very little food and lots of hungry members! The best part of the party is the wild & crazy exchange of gifts ($10 to $15). You are not obligated to bring a gift. If you do, please wrap it well to hide the contents. It can be animal stuff or human goodies (wine seems to show up each year.) You can re-gift something you want to get rid of! We ll explain the exchange rules at the party. We hope to start our new year with a variety of courses. It s that time of year in which many people get new pups or adopt a new dog. There s already twenty people on the STAR Puppy wait list! Vicki Ford sent the membership renewal and gate key forms will be going out soon. Nosework Volunteers Needed! We are still in need of additional volunteers for the Nosework trial, especially for Saturday. The Nosework L2 and Element Specialty Trials Exteriors 1 and Vehicles 1 will be held at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center on December 17 and 18, 2016. Volunteer for 1/2 day or all day. Invite your friends and family to volunteer, too! Only requirement is they must be at least 16 years of age. You will have a great time and learn a lot about the sport of Nose Work. If you've never seen dogs work scent before, you will be fascinated by what they can do. Training provided and we will feed you! Provisional members, volunteer and get your card signed.
