Dear Sysco Customer, IMPORTANT INFORMATION SYSCO CORPORATION Recall EXPANSION Notification This is an urgent communication from your food service supplier, Sysco Corporation. We are contacting you about a product RECALL event. Sysco Corporation has deployed the Instant Recall solution, an automated product RECALL event notification system. Sysco Quality Assurance received notification that RESER S FINE FOODS is EXPANDING their voluntary product RECALL of Refrigerated ready-to-eat products. The products in question were manufactured at the Topeka, KS salad manufacturing facility from 10-10-13 through 10-25-13 (the previous recalls were manufacture dates 9-5-13 through 10-9-13). No other Reser s Fine Foods, Inc. manufacturing facilities are involved in this recall. The reason for the RECALL is because the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria is an organism which can cause serious and sometime fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and individuals with weakened immune systems. Healthy people may suffer only short term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant woman. NO illnesses have been reported to date. Our records show that this product may have been sent to your location. It is urgent that you stop using affected product immediately. Please note: a postal mail letter will be sent to each customer, containing customer specific shipping details.
