REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is mandatory: Register Here! 2. YQCA Certification: All department 39 exhibitors must have current Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) Certification by July 1 in order to be eligible to show at fair. This certification can be completed online http://yqca.org or classes offered. Please contact Kennewick Extension Office at (509) 735-3551. 3. Animals are to arrive on the grounds between 10 a.m. 6 p.m. Mon., 8/20. Rabbits to be released between 8 10 a.m. Sun., 8/26. Superintendent and Fair NOT responsible for animals left behind after that time. Market rabbits not picked up by buyers will not be released to 4-H/FFA youth prior to 10 a.m. 4. Rabbits can be tattooed Mon., 8/20, for a charge of $1 per rabbit. 5. LIMIT: Eight animals total which includes pocket pets, cavies, and up to 2 market rabbits. Barn will be limited to the first 400 animals entered. 6. This department is for 4-H and FFA members only. Exhibitor may only show in one of these groups. Exhibitors may not show in both Departments 9 and 39. 7. Sun. 8/19. Clubs may decorate their area from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Please note that club displays may not interfere with ventilation. 8. Tue., 8/21: Market rabbit judging at 8 a.m. The latest ARBA rules will be used for all breed judging. You must be present to carry your own animals or make other Arrangements; carriers will not be available. All Fitting and Showing classes at noon, except for novice; juniors show first. 9. Wed., 8/22: Pocket Pet and Cavy judging at 8 a.m., followed by rabbit breed judging. Small Animal Round Robin at 5 p.m. No novice in Round Robin. 10. Thu., 8/23: Rabbit judging contest at 8:30 a.m. Pee-Wee Showmanship at noon, followed by FFA/novice showmanship. Rabbit Bowl at 4 p.m. Cavy Bowl to follow. 11. Fri., 8/24: Breed ID contest at 9 a.m. Market sale at Noon. 4-H and FFA only.

12. All exhibitors will be required to work two hours of barn duty. Sign-up on Mon., 8/20, when checking into the barn. Premium money will be withheld if the exhibitor refuses to participate. 13. Each exhibitor will be required to wire down their cages and furnish feed and water crocks before their animals are in cage by Mon., 8/20. Exhibitors are required to unwire cages, remove dishes, return cards, and collapse their cages between 8 a.m. 10 a.m. Sun., 8/26. 14. Shavings will be available to purchase at the Fair Office or you may bring your own. All livestock exhibitors will be subject to a $5 bedding fee, which includes one bag of shavings. 15. No does with litters, except educational exhibits. Check with the Superintendent before Fair if interested. 16. FITTING AND SHOWING The animal registered in Fitting and Showing must also be registered in its breeding class Exhibitors must enter and exhibit in Fitting and Showing to be eligible for any premiums. Be sure to mark Fitting and Showing on the entry form; use the class numbers in Division A. Showmanship for Cavies is in Pocket Pets. Entry in the Market Rabbit sale is limited to 4-H and FFA members in Benton and Franklin counties or the Burbank School District. 2. All Market Sale animals must be owned by the exhibitor 45 days before the sale. 3. Sale animals must be entered in the Market Rabbit section only. 4. Exhibitors are limited to sell only two lots. They can be sold as one or as 2 individual classes. No white ribbon rabbits may be sold at the sale. 5. Each exhibitor of a sold animal is responsible for the animal until it leaves the grounds. 6. To cover transaction cost, publicity, etc., a $3 fee per animal will be deducted from the proceeds of each animal sold. 7. No animal purchased at a previous market sale will be allowed to show or sell. 8. Exhibitors must show the rabbit at the time of the sale. 9. Market rabbits not making weight cannot be sold, but could be entered as pre-juniors in 4-H/FFA rabbit show. POCKET PETS 15 10 7 Exhibitors must provide their own cages for very small animals.

CLOVERBUD AND PEE-WEE SHOWMANSHIP Contact the superintendent to enter children not old enough to be in 4-H. Also includes Cloverbud level 4-Hers. Animals must already be entered in either open class or 4-H and must be on the grounds. NOTE: No premiums paid in this class.
