Classifications In all breeds, recognized by the C.K.C., the following classes will be provided for, divided by sex. Junior Puppy 6 Months and under 9 Months on day of show. Senior Puppy 9 Months and under 12 Months on day of show. 12 18 Months 12 Months and under 18 Months on day of show. Canadian Bred Dogs born in Canada (Champions of any country excluded) Bred by Exhibitor Dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder Open For all dogs Specials Only For Canadian Champions Exhibition Only For all dogs over 3 Months of age and eligible for registration with the Canadian Kennel Club Note:in all breeds, where classes are divided by colour, weight, or coat, indicate clearly in the class division on the entry forms. ******ALTERED CLASSES****** Altered Classes All dogs over 6 months of age which have been sexually altered by veterinary procedure. Classes divided by sex. Dogs entered in these classes may earn an Altered Championship. The point system to achieve an Altered Championship is the same as it is for a regular Championship. Judging of altered classes to be held immediately after Best of Breed in the regular classes. Altered Group to be judged immediately after Puppy Group, and Altered Best In Show to be judged just prior to regular Best In Show. *****BABY PUPPY CLASS***** The Baby Puppy Class is for dogs 3 months and under 6 months on the day of the show. Dogs entered in the Baby Puppy Class do not compete for points. Puppies entered in this class will participate & compete for Best Baby Puppy in Breed, Best Baby Puppy in Group and Best Baby Puppyin Show. NOTE There is NO LISTING FEE for Baby Puppies who are not yet registered!!!! *****BRACE (Saturday Only...both shows)****** LKC is pleased to offer the Non -Regular Class of BRACE on Saturday. Judging will take place following Breed, Group, and immediately before Best In Show. Dogs must be entered in a regular class or exhibition only. Dogs maybe neutered/spayed. Effective January1, 2006, OWNERSHIP of both dogs does NOT have to be identical!!!!! *****VETERANS CLASS (Sunday Only) ***** For dogs aged seven and over on the day of the show. (Dogs entered in this class maybe neutered/spayed) Classes further divided by age ( 7-10 and 11 & over). Best Veteran Male & Female will compete for Best Veteran in Breed. Best Veteran in each breed will compete for Best Veteran in Group, and Best Veteran in Show. *****PRIZE LIST***** Rosettes will be offered each day as follows; Best In Show + $80 cash, Reserve Best in Show + $50 cash, Best Puppy In Show +$25 cash, Best Baby Puppy In Show prize, First -Fourth In Group, Best Puppy in Group, Best Baby Puppy in Group & Show; First -Fourth in Altered Group and Best In Show Altered all shows. As well as Best Brace in Group and Show (Saturday shows) Best Veteran in Group and Show (Sunday only) Puppy Sweepstakes Friday July 27 - Judge: TBA Classes 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, 12-18 (Divided by Sex) All dogs must be entered in a regular class or in Exhibition Only Prize and Rosette for Best in Sweeps and Best of Opposite in Sweeps 1 st in class - 30% of entries for that class 2 nd in class - 20% of entries for that class 3 rd in class - 15% of entries for that class 4 th in class - 10% of entries for that class Manitoba & NW Ontario Dachshund Club is offering a Booster for All 6 Breeds of Dachshunds on Saturday July 28 under Judge William Gunn. All classes and entry fees as the host club. Prizes offered for BOB, BOS, BP, BBP, Best Altered and Best Brace. MNWDOC will also be offering a prize for the top winning Junior handler in any class showing a Dachshund the day of the booster.

General Information The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the Shows and Specialty Shows, which shall be governed by the Canadian Kennel Club Rules. Print your entries carefully. Include your complete address. Errors made on entries by exhibitors or their agent must stand regardless of how or by whom entries were made. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by the correct entry fee. No refund of entry fees will be made if it is impossible to open or complete any show because of riot, civil disturbance, or other acts beyond the control of The Lakehead Kennel Club. Entry fees will not be refunded should the dog be absent, sick, lame, in season, or excused by a Veterinarian, the Judge, or the Show Superintendent. The Lakehead Kennel Club reserves the right to refuse any entry, subject to Canadian Kennel Club Rules. Dogs must be ready for judging; individual dogs will not be called. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a Breed or Group. Dogs not entered in the Show are not allowed in the Building. Exercise areas must be used. The Show Committee will take all precautions and use all methods to keep the Building and surrounding area as clean as possible. Exhibitors are expected to do their part as well. Due to limited space, private exercise pens will NOT be permitted, except in reserved grooming areas. Lakehead Kennel Club will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or other misfortune, to dogs, exhibitors or patrons. The welfare of an exhibitor's child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. Exhibitors shall exercise control and restraint over their children while attending these shows. The show premises will be open not later than two hours before the scheduled judging time. The precinct of the Show is the Arena, and parking area. ******************************************************* Jr Handling Extravaganza LKC is pleased to present our Annual Junior Handling Extravaganza! There will be a competition each day, with an award to the 3 day Best Overall Aggregate Score, plus Aggregate Score for a LKC Junior member. Awards for Runner-Up in both categories are also given. A Perpetual Memorial Trophy for both Top Aggregate and Top Aggregate for a LKC Junior Member is offered in memory of Siberian Husky, Ch Kee-Tuk-Ka s Kyana. Points for the Aggregate Scores shall be determined as follows: Best Over All 50 points 1 st in Class 100 points plus 10 points for every competitor defeated 2 nd in Class 75 points plus 10 points for every competitor defeated 3 rd in Class 50 points plus 10 points for every competitor defeated he classes will be judged as part of the regular show, at various times throughout the day. Presentation of the Top Aggregate Score winners will be just prior to Best In Show on Sunday. Sign up at the Show Secretary s desk. There will be a charge of $1.00 to enter each Junior Handling competition,payable at sign up. ALSO MNWDOC will also be offering a prize for the top winning Junior handler in any class showing a Dachshund in Jr Handling on Saturay, the day of their Booster. CAMPING there are NO CAMPING sites with power available There is plenty of space for RV Setup, just check with the Show Superintendent before setting up!!

Notice To All Foreign Exhibitors Effective January 1, 1992, all dogs that are foreign born and foreign owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering C.K.C. events will no longer require a C.K.C. registration number, but will require an Event Registration Number (ERN). This ERN does not register a dog with the C.K.C. for breeding purposes as defined in the Animal Pedigree Act, but rather enables a foreign born and foreign owned dog to be awarded titles by the C.K.C. Each dog must have its own number. This Event Registration Number must be applied for within 30 days of the first day of obtaining points, awards, or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or present a problem, please send a written request to the CKC for an extension. To obtain an ERN, forward request along with the fee of $62.40 + HST (tax) to:the Canadian Kennel Club, Shows and Trials Division (address on front cover). Visa/Mastercard accepted. Notice To All Canadian Residents Only Non-member participation fee New CKC Rule a) An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non-member of CKC. b) In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member will have a choice either to become a CKC member or to pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will cause all awards and titles to be cancelled. Points Are Not Awarded to Incorrect or Incomplete Entries 1 When a dog is co-owned, the names of all owners must appear on the entry form. 2 Enter the dog under its registered name, not its call name or another dog's name. The only exception is with listed dogs where the name may change upon registration. 3 A foreign dog registered in another country must be entered under its registered name in the country of origin. 4 All entry forms must be legible - type or print the information 5 NEW RULE: Section 8.2.5 Dog Show Rules: Effective Jan 1/06, an error in the class, date of birth or sex may be amended on the entry form up to one hour before the start of the show. Chapter 15: Champions and Championship Points Section 1. A dog awarded Winners at a Conformation Show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. Section 2. Classifications In all breeds, recognized by the C.K.C., the following classes will be provided for, divided by sex. Junior Puppy 6 Months and under 9 Months on day of show. Senior Puppy 9 Months and under 12 Months on day of show. 12 18 Months 12 Months and under 18 Months on day of show. Canadian Bred Dogs born in Canada (Champions of any country excluded) Bred by Exhibitor Dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder Open For all dogs Specials Only For Canadian Champions Exhibition Only For all dogs over 3 Months of age and eligible for registration with the Canadian Kennel Club Note:in all breeds, where classes are divided by colour, weight, or coat, indicate clearly in the class division on the entry forms. Altered Class: All dogs over 6 months of age which have been sexually altered by veterinary procedure Classes divided by sex. Baby Puppy Class: The Baby Puppy Class is for dogs 3 months and under 6 months on the day of the show. Dogs entered in the Baby Puppy Class do not compete for points. Puppies entered in this class will participate & compete for Best Baby Puppy in Breed. NOTE There is NO LISTING FEE for Baby Puppies who are not yet registered!!!! Sire & Get: for a stud dog and 2 or more of his get. Stud must be entered in a Regular class or in Exhibition Only. Get must be entered in a Regular class. Dam & Progeny: for a dam and 2 or more of her progeny. Same rules as Sire & Get. Brace: for 2 dogs of the same breed, not necessarily of the same sex and not necessarily by the same owner. Must be handled by one person on one lead. Veteran Class: For dogs aged seven and over on the day of the show. (Dogs entered in this class maybe Neutered/Spayed. Best Veteran Male & Female will compete for Best Veteran in Breed. Field Class: For dogs that are Field Trial or Amateur Field Trial Champions, or have a Field Dog Title or have a placement in a field trial or test. The winners of each sex will compete for Best of Breed provided they have not been defeated in any other class. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered.
