Meeting called to order at 8:10 pm Chuck Q. passed out the April minutes and they were approved. Treasurers Report: no report for May, Chuck W. was absent. Motion was made to not to hold a meeting in June and July and move up the voting for our 2014 Speciality Judges at this (May) meeting. All were in favor and motioned passed Combined: Specialites went off well. Website: Renewal will be due on the domain names and we will renew the names as a club instead of the by the individual taking care of the website. Minutes, General Meeting April 15, 2012 Members Present: Chuck and Willie Crawford, Jackie Dilworth, April Ogeltree Chuck and Darcy Quinlan, Karen and Bob Yoder. Meeting called to order at 11:30 am. Minutes were approved as amended, Amendment is that Willie Crawford should be listed as a member of the Judges Selection Committee not Chuck Crawford. Treasurers report attached. CONSTITUTION ARTICLE I NAME AND OBJECTS SECTION 1. The Name of the Club shall be The Great Dane Club of the Mid South, Inc. SECTION 2. The objects of the club shall be: a) To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Great Danes and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection. b) To encourage the membership to a lifetime responsibility for their Great Danes, their Dane s offspring and to the education of others as all are necessary for the protection and advancement of the breed. c) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials and other events. d) To conduct sanctioned matches and licensed specialty shows, obedience trials, Companion events and other events for which the club is eligible under the Rules and Regulations of The American Kennel Club and to generate publicity on any matter affecting the welfare of the breed. e) To encourage dedication to the health and welfare of the breed. f) To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed by which Great Danes shall be judged, as approved by The American Kennel Club and to encourage the study of the standard by breeders, judges, dog show committees and others interested in the advancement of the breed. SECTION 3. The Club shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder or residue from dues or donations to the Club shall inure to the benefit of any member or individual. SECTION 4. The members of the Club shall adopt and may from time to time revise such by-laws as may be required to carry out these objects. Revised Sept. 2007
BRAGS Chuck and Willie Crawford: Scout picked up her first Best in Show at the Delaware County Kennel Club show in York, PA on March 18 th. She got her second BIS at the Douglasville Kennel Club show in Newnan, GA on April 1 st / Jackie Dilworth: Jackie Dilworth and co-owner Marylene Brunelle of Quebec, Canada are pleased to announce a Major reserve and a Major in Perry for Pilot/Jade daughter, CAN/INT Ch. Aileron Thorncrest s The Sky of Tomka. Many thanks to Lynn Moser for handling Elle so well in their first outing.
