Only dogs that are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for such registration can be entered. 2. To comply with instructions issued by the Canadian Kennel Club entries reaching the Show Secretary after the closing date as published in the Premium List cannot be accepted. 3. Entries cannot be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are filled in. ie. DOB, sex, place of birth etc.. 4. Only entries accompanied by the entry fee will be accepted. 5. No telephone entries are allowed. 6. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dog (s) regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. Change or cancellation of any entry after the closing day is prohibited. 7. Refunds will only be made if an entry is withdrawn prior to the close of entries, or in the case of a bitch coming into season after entries close, when the request is accompanied by a cooberating letter from a veterinary showing the dog s name and date she went into season. 8. The Bytown Dog Obedience Club has the right to refuse any entry subject to C.K.C. Dog Show Rules. 9. The TRIAL CHAIR will be in full charge of the show, which will be governed by C.K.C. Rules. 10. Identification cards and judging schedules will be sent out as soon as possible after the close of entries. 11. The person accompanying the dog must show the identification card before the dog is allowed in the show. Unless a dog is officially entered, it will not be allowed on the show precincts. (see PAGE 3) 12. Dogs need only arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled judging. 13. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have the dog in the ring when the dog s class is scheduled for judging. 14. Belle Severn and the Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of the dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or other misfortune, to either dog, exhibitor or patron. 15. The show premises will open one and a half (1.5) hours before scheduled judging times. 16. If because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show no refund of entry fees will be made. 17. To avoid noise and confusion, no individual dogs will be called to the ring by loud speaker. Non-Member Participation Fee The non-member Participation Fee applies to dogs wholly owned by a resident of Canada who is not a member of the CKC, it is not applicable to CKC members or dogs co-owned with a CKC member. In order for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice of either becoming a CKC member or paying the Non-Member Participation Fee. Failure to comply within thirty (30) days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up. The Non-Member Participation Fee is fee paid in the calendar year (January December) in which the dog achieved its title. Attention all foreign exhibitors To obtain an ERN do the following: Send a photocopy of the dog's registration certificate reflecting current ownership - with a written request for an ERN. ALL TRIALS offer the following classes Pre-Novice, Novice A, Novice B, Novice C, Novice Intermediate Open HA, HB Open 18A, 18B, Utility A and Utility B BRACE will be held on Saturday May 12, 2018 at NOON Judge: Frances Holmes The following classes are not eligible for the High in Trial competition : Pre-Novice, Novice C and Intermediate Novice Bitches in season are not permitted to compete. The judge of a trial must remove from competition any bitch in season, or any bitch which appears so attractive to males as to be a disturbing element. (CKC Obedience Rule 6.5.1 and 6.5.2). CKC Obedience Rule 20.7 It shall be the duty and obligation of the trial-giving club to see that a judge, club official, ring steward, volunteers, or competitor at an Obedience or Rally Trial held under these regulations, is not subject to indignities of any kind. The Trial Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the CKC shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. 6 7
