RABBIT SHOW SCHEDULE 26 March - 8 April 2015 Sydney Showground Sydney Olympic Park www.sydneyroyal.com.au

AUSTRALIAN SHOW RABBIT COUNCIL INC. WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME THEIR 2015 SYDNEY ROYAL RABBIT SHOW JUDGE MRS. SITEREH SCHOUTEN (CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND) Sitereh is a senior judge within Rabbit Council of New Zealand and looks forward her trip to Judge at the Sydney Royal Show and thanks the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and ASRC for the opportunity. Sitereh breeds under the New Zealand stud prefix "Natures Pace", her passion being the Enderby Island Rabbit. Being involved with the Rare Breeds Conservation Society of NZ for about 25 years, led Sitereh and her husband Chris to bred Rare Chickens, Belted Galloway Cattle, Shropshire Sheep and Enderby Island Rabbits. Sitereh s interest in rabbits started around 1994 at a Rare Breeds meeting hearing about their story. This intrigued both Chris and Sitereh and sent them on a huge learning curve about rabbit breeding habits. Of all the rare animals in New Zealand her first love would be rabbits. Sitereh enjoys trying to create an interest in those breeds with very low numbers on the ground and raising their profile. Exporting the Enderby Island overseas inspired Sitereh to become a Judge in 2004. She had big dreams to import from the USA, but this is not to be as import protocols became too difficult and too expensive to set up. Sitereh now concentrates on Flemish Giants, Enderby Island and Californian Rabbits. Her job for the past 16 years has been a Teacher s Assistant with Special Need Children in a Special needs School based in Christchurch. She finds her job provides her with many challenges and interesting behaviours, but the rewards are great when you work with children. Sitereh s other job is supporting her husband with their Classic Car Restoration Business, called, Tin Rabbit Restorations Ltd the company name is a combination of the hobbies of Chris and Sitereh. (Rabbits and Metal Work). They hope this is a name people won t forget too quickly. Sitereh is bringing her husband Chris and son Boden aged 8 with her to Sydney in March and plans to do a bit of camping somewhere south of Sydney after the show. 1
