Catch basins do not appear to have litter traps, potentially allowing smaller litter pieces to pass through the grates and directly to Rock Run.

Cheltenham Mall and Rock Creek Monitoring Site February, 2013 Litter Trash Conditions and Task Force Recommendations Cheltenham Mall Litter Situation Litter photo surveys were conducted on 2 occasions: 1/14/13 and 2/7/13 TTF Trash Task Force Recommendations Extensive litter was found areas and down stream of Mall parking areas. Considerable amount of Cheltenham Mall litter appears to blow into steep embankment area where Rock Run exits culvert on Ogontz Ave, making litter clean-up for volunteers dangerous TTF should Cheltenham Township officials about the need for corrective action to address the Cheltenham Mall litter Rock Creek trash problem TTF Trash Task Force should conduct monthly litter photo surveys until corrective actions have been taken Cheltenham Mall does not have trash cans throughout the parking lot, making customer trash disposal difficult The extent of litter trash along the Mall s northern fence line makes this a top priority TTF Trash Task Force action area Rock Creek Trash Situation TTF Trash Task force should add this section of Rock Creek to the TTF Watershed Trash Impaired Creek List TTF Trash Task Force should begin monthly monitoring of RC2 site for submission to Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection s tri-annual impaired water quality list for potential regulatory action by PaDEP.
