Dear Friends, On behalf of the Red River Roundup breeders, I would like to thank you for taking time to look through the catalog and view the DVD. We truly appreciate your interest and hope you find the cattle you need to enhance your program. When this group of breeders decided they wanted to have a sale, each and every one of them, dug deep into their herd and brought the best ones to town. We have something for everyone including show heifer prospects, fall yearling heifers, bred spring heifers, fall pairs, spring bred cows, embryos, and a flush. Whether you are an established breeder looking for replacement females or just getting started in this great breed, we feel we have cattle on this sale that will give you a good return on your investment. The breeders involved in this group all have one goal in mind, sell high quality functional cattle that will perform and exceed the expectations of their customers. They strive to accomplish this by having a thorough embryo and AI program that allows them to constantly introduce new genetics into their herd. They select for sound footed, structurally correct cattle that offer eye appeal and growth. That is why I believe you will enjoy what you are about to look at in this catalog! It is an exciting time to be involved with Red Angus. At the National Red Angus Convention in September, Greg Comstock, our Executive Secretary, announced that in the last year the only breed to see registration numbers increase was the Red Angus. That statement told me that everyone involved with the Red Angus breed is already headed in the right direction with their cattle operation. At a time when the country is facing challenges everyday, it is comforting to know that the breed we are involved in is not going anywhere but up. Red Angus make great mothers that milk well and breed back on a roughage diet, raise feedlot cattle that gain well and grade, and produce commercial females that are in high demand. These are all reasons that the commercial cattleman is turning to Red Angus to get the job done. We feel that the Red Angus breed above all others is poised for explosive growth at a time when other breeds are trying to hold on. We look forward to seeing you October 10th in Bells, TX. Come early to enjoy breakfast and view the cattle. You will be welcomed with BIG TEXAS hospitality while you are meeting old friends and making new ones. In case you can t make the sale you can still watch and bid online at www.dvauction.com and make sure you register for a bidder number ahead of time.
