Once an entrant is drawn and braced, it may run as entered, move up to the next test level, or scratch without refund. Refunds (less the $2.00 Processing Fee) will be granted only for injured or sick dogs (may require vet certification); or as deemed an emergency by the event committee. Entrants who complete a title during #2015661107 may request advancement to the next level for event #2015661108 to the event secretary within 30 minutes of the test start. All tests are open to all AKC Registerable Pointing Breeds that are at least 6 months of age. Bitches in season may compete in the last test run of the day. Licensed Hunt Tests are held under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club.
ADVANCED TITLES AKC now has Advanced titles (JHA, SHA, and MHA). A Pointing Breed Hunting Test Advanced title is awarded when a dog passes five additional times with an average qualifying score of 8.0 or higher after earning its initial title in a test level. Junior Hunt Test will run 15 minutes. Tests will run on a single course with bird field. Quail and/or Chukar and/or pheasants will be released in all stakes. Judges and officials only are allowed to use horses. Shotguns with NO ammunition will be permitted to be carried by handlers of Master dogs only. Participants must wear blaze orange on all courses. Galleries are permitted only at the discretion of the hunt test committee and judges when safety permits, are under the control of the marshal, and not permitted in any bird field. PRIZES Standard AKC Rosettes will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score. FOOD Dave s Weiner Wagon will provide breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday for a modest fee. Land east of County RD 157 is the property of Strasburg Game Birds. The RMVC has no control over the private use of that land. Waiver of Liability: An entry in this hunting test constitutes a waiver of liability to The Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club, its officers, members of/or owners of Strasburg Game Birds for any accidents, damage or injury in reference to the attendance at this hunting test in conjunction with the dogs, horses, vehicles, trailers and any other personal equipment. Dogs are not permitted to be off leash except during the running of their brace. Participant vehicles are permitted only in the designated parking areas. Please be sure to fill any holes left and leave no trash behind. We are guests at Strasburg Game Birds; please preserve our area for future use. Thank you!
