mdt/agility Ability LLC NADAC SANCTIONED DOG AGILITY TRIAL September 1-2, 2018 Ironwood Event & Boarding Center 5600 Whiskey Springs Rd. Reno, NV (See new Ironwood Camping Rules) Classes offered each day: Saturday: 2 Hoopers, 2 Regular, 2 Chances, 1 Tunnelers, 1 Weavers Sunday: 2 Regular, 2 Touch n Go, 2 Barrelers, 2 Jumpers This is a double-run format trial (one walk-thru per class). Categories Proficient and Skilled Divisions: For classes with jumps: Standard, Veteran/Disabled and Junior Handlers For Non-Jumping classes: Standard and Veteran/Disabled Handlers Levels: Intro, Novice, Open and Elite Judge: Joyce Roessner, Calgary, AB Canada This trial is limited to 350 runs per day with jumps, 500 runs total per day. Closing Date: Wednesday, August 29, 2018, or when run limit is met. See inside for entry rules & information Dogs must be registered with NADAC to compete. As of January-2014: Dogs must enter the Veterans Division after their 9 th birthday. Dogs must enter the Skilled Category, Veterans Division after their 12 th birthday.

Welcome to Ironwood Event and Boarding We ve been very fortunate to secure the use of this state of the art equestrian facility for our agility trials. Our trials are held indoors on groomed dirt, in a climate-controlled environment. Crating is inside, so no Easy-Ups are necessary just a mat, your X-pen or crate, and a chair. Dogs are restricted in some parts of the building (restrooms, showers, lunch room, etc.). The facility has RV parking with hookups (electricity only or both electricity and water) for a nominal fee. RV parking needs to be arranged directly with Ironwood (see premium). Also included are the use of indoor restrooms, showers, and a fully functional lunch room with tables and chairs. Lunches can be pre-ordered from the facility (also see premium), and their staff will have them prepared and ready for purchase, or you can bring your own. The facility is approximately 18 miles north of I-80 on Pyramid Way. It s an easy 20 minute drive out the Pyramid Highway. You ll know you ve arrived when you drive past the BLM wild horse holding pens. DO NOT TURN ON IRONWOOD ROAD. Go past Ironwood Rd approximately ½ mile, and turn right on Whiskey Springs Road. You really can t miss the facility. As you can see from the picture, it is quite large, and easily seen from the highway. This is quite a change from our outdoor trials, and we re hoping that not having to worry about weather issues, as well as a conflicting facility calendar, will make for a much more pleasant agility experience for all. So, come on out, and have some fun with your dogs!!!

You may unload your gear at either the front of the building, or the rear of the building. Please potty your dogs away from the building, on dirt. Keep dogs off the grass areas and out of the planters. IRONWOOD RULES & POLICIES No one is to be in any of the electrical or mechanical rooms or panels unless they have specific permission from Greg Battaglia (NO EXCEPTIONS). Heaters: Apparently, the heaters in the arena have been getting turned up quite a bit. While it is wonderful to be able to sit in the arena with no jacket in the winter, it is very costly in propane for Ironwood to provide this. They normally keep the arena at about 50 degrees, and while that might mean some will need to wear jackets, given the price of propane, Ironwood s only other choice would be to charge for heating the arena above the standard 50 degrees. That cost would have to be passed along to exhibitors in the form of higher entry fees. Therefore, it is not ok to turn up the heaters. Lights: Here again, the issue is cost. While Ironwood will provide lighting in the arena area during our trials, the arena lights will be turned off at the conclusion of each day s activities. They will not be turned on again until the next morning. If arena lighting is required beyond each day s activities, the cost would have to be passed along to exhibitors in the form of higher entry fees. Campers: Ironwood will be implementing a permit process for all campers (RV s, tents, and dry campers) that will require displaying a camping permit anytime you are camped on Ironwood property. They ve had several instances where people were coming in and just hooking up to utilities without checking with the office, and then leaving without paying. They ve also had people coming in after dark, hooking up to utilities, and not paying. In the future, they will make several checks each day/night throughout the grounds to verify that each camper has paid for, and is displaying, a valid camping permit. Private-owner RV spots at the south end of the property are not to be used. See the new Camping Reservation form in this premium. Dumping of ANY water (fresh, gray or black) anywhere on the property is prohibited. If you want to empty your fresh water tank, please wait until you have left the property. Dogs in the building: While dogs are allowed in the arena area of the building, as well as the tent camping area, they are not allowed in the downstairs lounge area, the Short Round Lounge upstairs, any restrooms or showers, or the stable area. This has been a problem, especially at night, with some of the tent campers. In addition, the horse stalls are not to be used unless rented from Ironwood. If stalls are being rented for one of our events, please make sure that the stalls are left clean at the end of the trial (no poop bags, etc. left in the stall). THANKS FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING

IMPORTANT. Please check your dog's NADAC registration number on your trial confirmation as soon as you receive it; also, please check the copy of the results posted at the trial. You should report any errors to the Trial Secretary immediately. NADAC records trial results as they are submitted by the host clubs/groups. The individual trial results submitted by the club are uploaded to the www.nadacforum.com within two weeks after the NADAC office receives them from the club.
