SHOP FITTINGS Knowledge makes all the difference

A REVOLUTION That is what we proudly call AkvaStabil EffectLine s new concept in shop fittings. Never before has such a comprehensive system of shop fittings been offered as a standard product direct from stock, and never before has it been so simple to install it yourself! Based on our many years of experience, intensive product development has resulted in this highly functional concept based on standard production, and consequently, low production costs. All without needing to compromise on quality! Our unique and exclusive design, carried out in top quality materials, will ensure you an attractive shop with elegant fittings for many years to come. Since the concept is built up from standard items delivered from stock, you will always be able to extend or reorganise your shop in stages that suit you and your financial situation. This catalogue will give you detailed information about the fittings we can supply for you: Aquarium racks, plant aquariums, terrarium racks, rodent racks, bird racks, packaging tables and plenty more. You will also find exciting new items for every type of rack: Fighting fish racks, new filter systems for aquarium racks, new racks for the smallest rodents and terrarium animals, large and spacious cages for birds and parakeets which comply with the new Norwegian and Swedish requirements, packaging tables with sinks, and last but not least, the option of choosing the colours of your shop fittings to suit your own taste. Enjoy reading it! The first impression Most people enjoy doing business in a pet shop. All the same, the customers impression of the shop will make a big difference to the time they spend in the shop, which is quite essential. The longer you can get them to stay in the shop, the more money they will spend... A clean and welcoming shop with a good environment for the animals is very important to customers, and thus for your reputation and turnover. Unfortunately you can t fix everything with a bucket of warm soapsuds. Even the most conscientious use of soap and elbow-grease is not enough if the fittings are poorly designed and awkwardly fitted or simply suffering from wear and tear. Inevitably, the customer will get a negative impression of the shop, and not want to spend much time there. Take a critical look at your shop: Do you think it is a model of what a modern pet shop should look like? If you don t think so, you can be quite certain your customers won t think so either! It is probably time to refurbish and give it a face lift. Financing Naturally, a major refurbishment and complete replacement of the fittings is quite a costly business. Nevertheless, the big investment often proves to be the best in the long run. An alternative to the really comprehensive project is to replace the fittings in smaller stages. Normally, doing it that way will limit your options for carrying out the absolutely ideal solution. But from a financial point of view it may be the most sensible. No matter which solution you decide on, you can be quite certain that your customers will appreciate it. Over the years we have seen countless examples where sales of fish have been increased by 50-75%, simply by replacing the aquarium racks with new, modern types. Consultant services If you are ready to expand or refurbish your shop, do not hesitate to ask us for advice. With the knowledge we have gathered over many years of production and fitting out pet shops around the world, we will be able to guide you confidently through the many decisions you need to make in order to find the best possible solution for you and your shop. Knowledge makes all the difference 2 3

AKVARIEREOLER AQUARIUM RACKS Aquarium sections are stocked in two lengths: 100 cm and 125 cm. By combining these two lengths it is almost always possible to achieve satisfactory exploitation of the area without requiring expensive tailored solutions. There is one rack, however, in which the height is 21 cm, and one with a height of 64 cm. The aquariums are fitted with raised glass separators, which divide them into compartments as required. You will find more details about the many possibilities in the table at the back of this catalogue. Aquarium racks The hallmarks of our aquarium racks are their quality and attractive design, and not least, their highly practical functionality. The racks are built up from aluminium tubing, and subsequently cased in with attractively formed aluminium profiles and robust aluminium hinged covers in the colours of your choice. There is a slot in the covers for you to insert the discreet price cards supplied with the racks. Solid all-glass aquariums with raised back walls and ends is made for user-friendly daily routines and eliminates the need for glass covers. Additionally, the all-glass aquariums mean that the racks are highly suitable for salt water. You have the choice of blue or black backgrounds in your aquariums. Our backgrounds are made of heavy-duty coloured plastic foil, and are easy to fit using the doublesided adhesive tape that is already in place on the backs of the aquariums when you receive them. Watertight Effect-Light parabolic reflectors give you the most efficient lighting system on the market. Choose between T8 or T5 fluorescent tubes. Watertight shelf bases at the bottom of the racks allow for exposure of various items such as gravel, tree roots etc. If you want to close the lowest space, sliding doors can be fitted in front. There is a wide range of piping and filtering systems to ensure optimum water quality and keep work to a minimum. On the next pages you can see more detailed descriptions of the various systems. The large, solidhinged covers in aluminium allow fast and convenient access to the aquariums The racks are always high and the aquariums are normally 40 cm deep. One of our racks is delivered with 50 cm deep aquariums, however. The normal aquarium height is 35 cm (at the front pane). Thick raised glass separators divide the aquariums up into smaller watertight compartments To allow pipe systems to be fitted, all aquariums are supplied with pre-drilled holes in each compartment. Holes that are not used can be closed with the plugs supplied. Raised backs and end panels prevent fish from jumping out. Glass covers are therefore unnecessary Attractively moulded profiles in anodised prestige grey or silver. Alternatively, they can be powder coated in all RAL colours 4 5

AKVARIEREOLER AQUARIUM RACKS We can supply aquarium racks in many different types. On the following pages you will find descriptions of the various types of racks, pipe and filtersystems in the range. Whichever pipe or filter system you select, our standard racks are based on the sizes you see illustrated below. In principle you can combine the four types in any way you like, to give you precisely the combination and rack length you prefer. The racks with three or four aquariums one above the other can be delivered already divided into several compartments. 3 3 4 240 cm 40/50 cm 40/50 cm 100 cm aquarium 100 cm aquarium 125 cm aquarium 125 cm aquarium 40 cm Two aquariums, one above the other This type is intended to add a decorative touch to the rack. These aquariums, measuring 100 x 40 x 64 cm, are ideal for building up a tall, impressive panorama-style decoration, which attract attention and provide inspiration. We also recommend this type of rack for large or tall fish such as Discus. Four aquariums, one above the other This type is used for fighting fish, small fish, shrimps, or simply special or valuable fish that deserve extra focus and exposure. The racks are ideal for campaigns featuring fish, such as introducing fish of the month, where attention is drawn to a particular species for a shorter or longer period. Three aquariums, one above the other The most widely used rack, which normally take up by far the most of the aquarium section. The aquariums are available in two lengths: 100 cm and 125 cm. The normal width is 40 cm, but 50 cm in the type with the filter in the back panel. These aquariums are supplied without glass separators, or with one or two, as you require. All variants of our piping and filter systems can be fitted to racks of this type. This rack is only supplied in size 125 x 40 x 21 cm, with each aquarium divided into six compartments. The aquariums are fitted with BackToNature SlimLine background in each compartment. There are 24 compartments altogether, with a tap over each, and the water flows out through gratings in the background. At the bottom of the rack all the water is efficiently cleaned in the central block filter (see description page 10), and it is then pumped back to the aquariums. 6 7

RØR- PIPING OG AND FILTERSYSTEMER SYSTEMS Our aquarium racks can be supplied with many different piping and filter systems. On the following pages you can see more detailed descriptions of the various systems. If you decide not to have the piping and filter system from the start, it will always be possible to add them later, since the aquariums are always supplied with the holes bored in the glass base. The drawings below show which combinations of piping and filter systems you can choose with the different rack types. 2 3 4 RACK 2 Without piping and filter system Filling and drain Block filter RACK 3 Without piping and filter system Filling and drain Block filter Filter in the back panel (50 cm only) RACK 4 Block filter Piping systems in general Our piping systems are always delivered fully assembled. In other words, you never need to use glue or other assembly methods that may be difficult or involve a risk of leaks. Our piping systems are assembled either with union connections or ring socket fittings, and are adapted exactly to the individual racks. It is only necessary for you to adjust the pipes with a saw at corners or where several free-standing racks are built together. We always supply extra piping and fittings with the racks, so you will have no trouble connecting up to taps and floor drains up to three metres from the racks (or further by agreement). The filling pipes are flexible, and fitted with a tap over each aquarium, so you can shut off the water supply if necessary. The overflow pipes have screw threads at the bottom and can be screwed off to allow the aquarium to be emptied for thorough cleaning. The grating pipe that covers the entire length of the overflow pipe ensures a constant free flow of water, even when parts of the grating pipe are obstructed by leaves or the like. FILLING AND DRAIN This the simplest piping system we supply (apart from the option of not having a piping system at all, of course). This system simply allows for a drain and a tap over each compartment in the aquariums. When the aquariums need extra thorough cleaning, the drain pipe can be screwed off to allow rapid emptying. The filling tap can remain turned off and hold back water under pressure all the time. You can then turn on the water over each aquarium as required. Alternatively, all taps can be opened very slightly, and a time switch can activate a magnet valve several times a day to top up the aquariums. Any excess water is led off to the drain. The filling pipe is connected to a centrally positioned supply tap fitted with the pressure reducing valve (supplied), and the drain pipe is connected to a drain in the floor. Since no filtering or heating of any kind is included in this system, it can be used in combination with bottom filters or internal motor filters and heating elements. The piping systems are packed in sets and ready for installation without the use of glue The taps over each compartment can be rotated to direct the water in any direction you choose The overflow pipe can be screwed off to allow the aquarium to be emptied rapidly However, this system can be used with a small central filter, if you want to filter all the water from several aquarium sections. We do not recommend this piping system for central filter arrangements connected to more than four or five aquarium sections, since the pipe dimensions are limited (drain ø 50 mm and filling pipe ø 20 mm). Piping system for filling and drain 8 9

RØR- PIPING OG AND FILTERSYSTEMER SYSTEMS Block filter This is our most popular filter system. It gives you all the advantages of automatic topping up, easy water changing and unbeatable water quality. The large filter is positioned behind the sliding covers in each aquarium section and cleans the water from all three aquarium sections above it. This filter allows amply for different water qualities in your aquarium rack, since the many filter compartments ensure efficient mechanical and biological filtering, and at the same time allow the addition of individual media such as carbon or sphagnum. The heating element (300W) and pump (Eheim 1060) are fitted in the filter, so they do not take up space in the aquariums. If water levels are low in the system, the automatic topping-up function in the filter lets in fresh water from the tap or from a central reservoir. Your aquariums will always look fresh and topped up. If there is excess water in the system, it will of course run off into the drain. When changing the water, all you have to do is direct the outlet from the aquariums to the drain section, which will immediately drain many litres of water form the system. It will fill up again automatically. The overflow pipes can easily be screwed off to allow the aquariums to be emptied rapidly for cleaning, and the flexible tap over each compartment directs the water where you want it. There are many operational advantages with this system, and in the short term it will soon pay for itself on the time you save alone, but the high water quality and healthier fish are added benefits. A disadvantage of this system is of course the risk that any disease may be spread through the three aquariums connected to the system. However, in our experience the very high quality of the water, compared with other systems, limits the development of disease. In case of disease in one aquarium or compartment, however, we recommend that it should be isolated by closing the tap, and then the fish can be treated with suitable medication. If you want a more permanent form of protection against the spread of disease, a UV source can be installed on the hose between the pump and the aquariums. This will kill most bacteria before they are spread through the system. UV sources are supplied as additional accessories and can be fitted after the system has been set up. Filters are supplied without filtrant materials, but we are of course able to supply you with all types of mechanical and biological mediums you require. INDIVIDUAL FILTER IN the back PANEL Our new aquarium system is developed as State of the art. It gives you all the same automatic advantages as the block filter system, but reduces the risk of spreading disease to a single aquarium. Additionally, this system allows you to insert or remove glass separators in the aquariums to suit your needs precisely. As shown, the filter is fitted in the back panel of each aquarium. Water from the aquariums is drawn through gratings in a black glass fibre panel and into a 10 cm wide compartment, where it is cleaned and returned to the aquarium. The compartment covers the whole of the length and height of the aquarium, and in addition to the various filtrant materials, it also contains the heating element, pump, overflow pipe to the drain and the valve for automatic topping up. There is also a drain cock under each aquarium, so that water is drained off fast for cleaning or changes of water. All the aquariums for this system are 50 cm wide, and are supplied in lengths of 100 cm and 125 cm, but only in the version with three aquariums one above the other. The floating valve ensures that the aquariums are always topped up The special fibre mat can absorb a large amount of impurities The water is drawn through gratings in the black glass fibre panel In contrast to the block filter system, we supply almost all the filtrant materials together with this system. The water passes first through a special fibre mat. What is special about this mat is that it can absorb large amounts of dirt, which means that the filter will need cleaning far less frequently. The following mats through which the water passes are ordinary filter mats, first a coarse one and then a fine one. After this mechanical cleansing process in the first half of the filter, the water passes through the biological filtrant material, which you have to add yourself to the second half of the filter. The water is finally pumped back to the aquarium section through the longitudinal delivery pipe. The piping system for the block filter setup The large block filter is placed at the bottom of the rack, and cleanses the water in the three aquariums above it. The floating valve ensures that the system is always topped up with water. The overflow compartment on the left is connected to the drain, and prevents flooding if too much water runs into the system The piping system for the filter in the back panel The water flows through the gratings in the glass fibre panel into the filter, and is pumped back to the aquarium through the delivery pipe The ball cock under each aquarium can be opened for emptying or partial changes of water 10 11

TERRARIEREOLER TERRARIUM RACKS Our terrariums are available in three types: 80 x 50 x 75 cm, 100 x 50 x 47 cm and 125 x 50 x 33 cm. The 100 cm terrariums are delivered with one glass separator or without, and the 125 cm terrariums with one or three glass separators. The glass separators are fixed, and cannot immediately be removed, as they are made to a very tight design that prevents even the smallest reptiles or live food from escaping. If you need more compartments, the terrariums can easily be divided up by one or more loose glass separators. However, these separators will not fit tightly enough to prevent the very smallest animals from crawling from one compartment to another. Since the racks are identical for terrariums, rodents and birds, these three types of cages can easily be combined in the same rack. 3 4 250 cm 50 cm 80 cm terrarium 100 cm terrarium 125 cm terrarium 50 cm Our terrarium racks are available in three different types with two, three or four terrariums one above the other. The terrariums can be supplied divided up, with varying numbers of partitions depending on the type. All our terrariums are delivered with a very smart stainless grille at the top and black coatings on the end and back panels (fitted externally). The terrariums are made of solid glass with lockable sliding doors in front. The bottom section of the terrariums is watertight, so they also can be used as aqua-terrariums. The terrarium racks are accessible from the back if required: the terrariums simply have to be turned around in the rack one could say with the back to the general public. In that case, of course, the back covering should not be fitted. The solid aluminium casing that conceals the fluorescent tube over each terrarium can easily be removed to allow replacement of the tube or access to the area above the terrarium. The fine-meshed net at the top of the terrariums has a very high percentage of openness (60%). The fluorescent tubes and UV tubes can therefore be placed outside the terrariums without appreciable reduction in the light. The net can be used additionally to hang up heat lamps etc. In their standard form the terrarium racks are supplied with one fluorescent tube (Aquastar) over each terrarium. No form of UV source, heat lamp or hot stone is included, since the choice of these accessories depends on which types of animals are to be kept in the individual terrariums. We are naturally able to supply all these items. We will be happy to help you find the best and most economic setup to suit your specific needs. The terrariums are cased in with external black plastic panels 125 cm terrarium rack The glass edge in front of the terrariums will hold water, and the rack can be fitted out as aqua-terrariums The grille can be used for hanging up heat lamps and similar The covering profile over each terrarium can easily be removed to allow free unhindered access to the area above the terrarium The fine-meshed stainless grille will prevent even the smallest live food from escaping 12 13

GNAVERREOLER RODENT RACKS Our rodent cages are available in three types: 80 x 50 x 75 cm, 100 x 50 x 47 cm and 125 x 50 x 33 cm. The 100 cm cages are delivered with one glass separator or none at all, and the 125 cm cages with one or three glass separators. The glass separators are fixed, and cannot immediately be removed, as they are made to a very tight design that prevents even the smallest mice or similar animals from escaping. If you need more compartments, one or more loose glass separators can easily be fitted in a cage. However, these separators will not fit tightly enough to prevent the very smallest animals from crawling from one compartment to another. Since the racks are identical for terrariums, rodents and birds, these three types of cages can easily be combined in the same rack. The grille is useful for attaching decorations 3 4 250 cm 50 cm 80 cm rodent rack 100 cm rodent rack 125 cm rodent rack 50 cm The glass edge in front keeps the litter inside the cage In principle, our rodent racks and terrarium racks are identical. The only difference between them is the cages while the terrariums are supplied with a fine-meshed grille at the top, the grille in rodent cages is open meshed. The external casing of the rodent cages is white, while it is black on the terrariums. The rodent cages are fitted with drinking bottles and food bowls. The cages are made of solid glass with lockable sliding doors in front. The lowest part of the cages is watertight, and the glass edge at the front keeps the litter inside the cage. If you want to access to clean the cages from the back, they can simply be turned round in the rack with the back facing outwards. In that case, of course, the back covering should not be fitted. The open-meshed net at the top of the cage has a very high percentage of openness (64%), which ensures plenty of ventilation in the cages. The fluorescent tubes can also be placed outside the cages without appreciable loss of light. The net can also be used for hanging up decorative items, mineral blocks, hamster wheels, ladders and other toys. The robust aluminium casing that conceals the fluorescent tube over each cage is easily removed when the tube needs replacing. We recommend our T8 lighting exclusively for rodent racks, since they are supplied with external coil boxes. The impedance coil, which produces a lot of heat, can thus be placed above the rack in order to keep the temperature in the cages down. 125 cm rodent rack The external coil boxes for the fittings are placed on top of the rack. This reduces the heat in the cages All cages are supplied with lockable glass sliding covers The open-meshed grille allows plenty of ventilation in the cages 100 cm rodent rack Metal holders for drinking bottles 14 15

FUGLEREOLER BIRD RACKS We are now introducing two new bird racks specially designed to comply with the new veterinary requirements in Norway and Sweden bird rack 125 x 70 x 80 cm with two cages, one above the other, and parakeet rack 125 x 70 x 170 cm with a single large cage. Both measurements are internal. The external measures are 136 x 75 x. These two racks are delivered from the factory fully assembled as free-standing elements, and they can t be combined with each other or with other racks. Both racks are enclosed with internal PVC panels and fitted with large metal trays, which make the daily cleaning easier. The 125 cm rack is delivered with wooden perches and a removable separator, which divides the cage in two. The parakeet rack is fitted with a very strong grille with a large, lockable door in the middle and two rotatable bowls for food and water. The parakeet rack is delivered without perches. 250 cm 3 50 cm 80 cm bird rack 100 cm bird rack 125 cm bird rack 125 cm parakeet rack 75 cm 75 cm Bird cages are supplied in the same sizes as two of our terrariums and rodent cages: 100 x 50 x 47 cm and 80 x 50 x 75 cm. The 100 cm wide cage is supplied with a loose glass separator, which divides the cage in two. The 80 cm wide cage is fitted with an extra strong grille, so it is suitable for parakeets and small parrots. Both birdcages are supplied with solid grilles for internal feeding, retractable metal trays and wooden perches. The grilles, perches and fittings for hanging the perches can easily be removed when the glass sides of the cage are cleaned. The back and side panels are covered with the same white plastic board that is used for the rodent cages. Like our terrariums and rodent racks, the bird cages can simply be turned around if access is required from the back. 100 cm bird cage All our bird cages are fitted with metal trays. We recommend that you order an extra tray together with your racks. When cleaning the cage, you can place a clean tray in the cage immediately, and then clean the soiled tray when you have time. Since the bird cages have the same measurements as the terrariums and rodent cages, you can combine all of them in any way in the same rack. You could for instance have a bird cage at the top and two rodent cages below it in the same rack. 80 cm bird cage The grilles and the perches with their fittings are easily removed when the cage is cleaned The new parakeet rack is fitted with a very strong grille. The lockable door in the centre provides easy access to the cage, and the metal trays and rotatable bowls make the daily work around the cage easier. 16 17

PAKKEBORDE PACKAGING TABLES PLANTEAKVARIER AQUARIUMS We supply two standard packaging table types freestanding or built in. As its name indicates, the free-standing table can be placed wherever you want a table worktop with a cupboard below it. The freestanding packaging table measures 60 x 60 x 90 cm, and its width is thus the same as our standard plant aquariums. Consequently, the freestanding packaging table is often placed in extension of the plant aquariums. The integrated packaging tables are designed to be built into the racks. They should be placed between two racks, since the sides of the packaging tables are not covered over. However, there is no reason why they should not be placed at the end of a rack. You simply have to remember when ordering to state which side of the packaging table is to be boxed in when we deliver it. The integrated packaging tables are available in two sizes: 60 x 60 x 90/ and 90 x 60 x 90/. The larger of these is delivered with a sink and mixer tap fitted in the table top. The packaging tables are delivered with end covers and doors to match your other fittings. The table tops are made of dark hardwood that will withstand daily wear and tear. A cloth with a little oil once in a while, or sandpaper for the tougher marks when necessary, will ensure that your packaging table looks attractive for many years. Plant2 We stock two standard plant aquariums. However, we might as well mention straight away that plant aquariums can be produced in almost any dimensions you like. In our experience, however, the two standard types fulfil most people s needs. Both types have the attractive cupboard cased with matching aluminium profiles and sliding doors to merge smartly with the rest of the shopfittings. The cupboards are 60 cm high and provide plenty of storage space. The top-quality 125W mercury vapour lamps are fitted with a highly efficient reflector, to provide a beautiful light that is optimal for the plants. An Eheim 2215 filter pump is supplied, and is placed in the cupboard under the aquarium, connected through holes in the bottom of the aquarium. Naturally, double taps with rapid-action hose connectors are also supplied. The large plant aquarium measures 200 x 60 x 55/30 cm, and is shaped like a house gable, with the water flowing from the middle and out to each side. Two pumps and three lamps are supplied with this plant aquarium. The smaller plant aquarium measures 150 x 60 x 55/25 cm and formed to a simpler design, since the water only flows form one side to the other. One pump and two lamps are supplied with this plant aquarium. Pack2: 60 x 60 x 90/ Plant 1 150 x 60 x 55/25 cm Plant 2 200 x 60 x 55/30 cm As mentioned earlier, we will be happy to supply plant aquariums to your specifications in the dimensions you want. SPECIALOPGAVER ASSIGNMENTS COLOURS FARVER So far, everything we have shown you in this catalogue has been from our standard range, which we can deliver direct from stock. We know from experience that 90% of our customers are quite content with these. But it is no problem if you want something special instead. The price and delivery time will be slightly different of course. We are happy to quote prices and delivery times for custom orders. In principle all our aquariums, terrariums and animal racks can be delivered in special dimensions, and we can also supply exhibition aquariums, plant islands, coral islands, central filter systems, free-standing rabbit runs and packaging tables. Call or send us a drawing of your ideas, and we can work out the solution together. Most of the illustrations in this catalogue show our fittings in the popular prestige grey. As a result of the enormous success with our fittings, we have now decided to extend our colour range to include a natural anodised variant and powdercoated systems in all the colours of the rainbow. You can now add your own personal touch to your shop fittings, and of course, you can have it in a colour that matches 100% with the rest of the furnishing in your shop. Normally the prestige grey and natural anodised variant can be delivered quickly from stock, while the powder-coated colours require about a week longer in delivery time. Exhibition aquarium Plant island Central filter system Don t forget that you can always replace the front covers on our racks, if you want a new colour for your fittings when you refurbish your shop or redecorate it, or if you may be unlucky enough to damage some of the profiles, and need to replace them. TILBEHØR ACCESSORIES Although we try as far as possible to supply all the accessories with our racks, there are still some things we can t choose for you in advance. These are things like price cards for the aquarium racks, specific filtrant materials, filter pumps, water treatment products, gravel for aquariums and litter for cages, heating elements and UV tubes for terrariums, various toys for rodents and birds, and fluorescent tubes in special colours. Our parent company, Eldorado, can supply everything a pet shop needs, since it is one of the leading wholesalers in the business, and a dealer for most of the major brands. We are certain of finding what you want to make a good start. In their standard form, all our racks are delivered with T8 lighting fixtures and one Aquastar fluorescent tube for each aquarium or cage. The fixtures are watertight and equipped with a highly effective parabolic reflector with replaceable foil. The conventional impedance coils are placed in external ballast boxes on top of the racks or hung on the wall behind them. If you wish, you can have the fixtures delivered with electronic coils instead of the conventional type. You can also order T5 fixtures, which give far more light. In addition, you can choose to fit two tubes over each aquarium or cage, or you may wish to install fixtures with dimmers, to give you more control. We can supply all these variants. If you prefer special fluorescent tubes instead of the Aquastar tubes, we can also supply those. LIGHTING LYS You may want to have a few replacement parts in reserve to avoid problems with defective products. Whatever you need, we can probably supply it. Start by measuring up your shop premises, and then use our checklist to work out a list of what you need. Of course, you are also welcome to contact us, and we will gladly help you to work out which shop fittings will meet your needs and wishes. All our racks are units to be combined. When you come to decide which sections you have space for, the following will apply: We call the first section in a rack a Start, and the subsequent sections Ekstra. CHECKLIST: Measure up your shop premises length, width and height Make a drawing of your shop premises, to scale if possible. Mark all measurements on the drawing. If there are obstacles (radiators, pipes or similar) it is important to include these in your drawing! For aquarium racks, you have to decide on a piping and filter system Decide whether you want free-standing or integrated packaging tables Work out how many sections of the various types you want or have space for. Use the dimension drawings on this page to calculate how many you have space for Then work out which types of cages you need on the terrarium, rodent and bird racks When planning the aquarium racks, you need to decide how many glass separators you want in the individual sections Think over which colours you want for your new fittings Ask us to make you a good offer If you are uncertain about whether the racks can be fitted up in your shop premises as you want them, we are of course here to help you! The external lengths of the sections are: Start : The length of the aquarium or cage + 11 cm. Ekstra : The length of the aquarium or cage + 3 cm. A rack always consists of one Start section and a number of Extra sections. You must allow 10 cm free space behind aquarium racks with piping systems. Behind all other racks, 3 cm will be enough. You will need to fit an end panel casing where any of the racks have visible ends. It will not take up extra space. HERE IS WHAT YOU DO ASSEMBLE IT YOURSELF There are of course detailed assembly instructions with all our racks. When your new racks are delivered to you, everything will be packed in sets in clearly marked boxes or bags. That way, you can work steadily and confidently through the assembly process.
