The Ultimate Challenge winner will be presented with a $500.00 cash award sponsored by EUKANUBA. The Veterans Challenge winner will be presented with a $150.00 cash award sponsored by EUKANUBA. The Puppy Challenge winner will be presented with a $150.00 cash award sponsored by EUKANUBA. The judge for these 3 events is not from the Auld Lang Syne Dog Association or Renaissance Dog Association panel, however, is well respected and known and his/her name will be announced prior to Best in Show on Sunday. Hall 1 will be used for rings and merchants only; Hall 2 will be used for a grooming area. No persons or dogs shall be allowed in any other part of the facility. Persons not adhering to this rule will be ejected from the show and the venue. IMPORTANT NOTICE CRATES ONLY WILL BE PERMITTED AT RINGSIDE DURING THE JUDGING OF YOUR RESPECTIVE BREED ONLY, THEN MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS ALSO A NON- SMOKING FACILITY. PRE-ASSIGNED GROOMING REQUESTS Due to the anticipated large entry, the club is reserving a portion of the building for pre-assigned grooming spaces. Those exhibitors who are LISTED as EITHER THE OWNER OR THE HANDLER/AGENT on 6 or more dogs, or who are co-ordinating a group of individuals setting up together, may request that an area be reserved for them. Once the allotted area has been filled, all further requests will be returned as will any requests received after the close of entries. Requests will be acknowledged via email after the closing date and prior to the beginning of the show. Please note: Exercise pens may be restricted to 1 pen per 3 entered dogs, depending on the size of the entry. In addition to the pre-assigned areas, there will also be regular first come, first served grooming space in which equipment/dogs may be left for the duration of the shows. Ex-pens are permitted in this area. There will also be an area that will be set aside for Day of Show grooming - this will be first come, first served and all equipment MUST BE REMOVED after Best in Show each night. There will be NO exercise pens allowed in this area. Any equipment left after Best In Show will be removed by the club or one of it's delegates. Grooming areas will be monitored by the club and delegated individuals - and exhibitors who do not keep their areas clean, or abuse the space allotted may be asked to leave the show. (Champions of any country excluded) BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS - This class shall be for any dog owned and handled in the ring owner/breeder. The handler MUST be the owner/co-owner AND breeder/co-breeder of the dog. The owner/breeder must handle the dog at the class level, but need not handle the dog for further awards OPEN CLASS - This class shall be for all dogs VETERANS CLASS For dogs 7 years of age and older on the day of this Show. Dogs entered in this class DO NOT COMPETE FOR POINTS (This class will be divided into 3 age divisions 7 to 9 yrs, 10 & 11 yrs and 12+ yrs. Winners of each class will carry through to compete for Best of Breed) PLEASE NOTE: SPAYED OR NEUTERED DOGS MAY COMPETE IN THIS CLASS SPECIALS ONLY CLASS - This class shall be for Champions of record at the time of closing of entries for this Specialty. Note: A Listed dog MAY be moved to the Specials Only Class after the closing of entries, provided the CKC Individual or Event Registration Number was received prior to the first day of the show. The request to move a class dog to the Specials Only Class MUST be received by the Show Secretary ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE FIRST SHOW. Listing Fees WILL NOT be refunded NON-REGULAR CLASSES EXHIBITION ONLY - All dogs entered in this class shall be listed in the catalogue with the same particulars as dogs entered in regular competition. Dogs entered in this class may not compete in any Regular class but may enter and compete in Non-Regular classes and/or Parades BRACE CLASS - Shall be for two dogs (not necessarily of the same sex) (Note: effective January 1, 2006 identical ownership NO LONGER applies) STUD DOG CLASS This class shall be comprised of the Stud Dog and 2 or more of his get. All dogs comprising the get need not be the property of the same exhibitor. Get must be entered in a regular class. BROOD BITCH CLASS This class shall be comprised of the Brood Bitch and 2 or more of her progeny. All dogs comprising the progeny need not be the property of the same exhibitor. Progeny must be entered in a regular class.

THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT SHALL HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THESE SHOWS AND TRIALS, WHICH WILL BE GOVERNED BY CKC RULES. 2. ANY DOG EXCUSED BY THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT OR VETERINARIAN FOR ANY REASON SHALL NOT, COMPETE IN ANY CLASS FOR ANY AWARDS FOR THE BALANCE OF THE SHOW. 3. THE SHOW COMMITTEE WILL USE DUE CARE AND DILIGENCE FOR THE WELFARE OF DOGS AND EXHIBITORS, BUT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, OR ASSUME ANY LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENT OR MISFORTUNE TO EITHER DOGS, EXHIBITORS, SPECTATORS OR VENDORS. 4. DOGS MUST BE ON THE GROUNDS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE JUDGING OF THEIR BREED. 5. THE OWNER OF A DOG ENTERED IN THESE SHOWS IS ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERROR IN ENTERING HIS/HER DOG REGARDLESS OF HOW OR BY WHOM THE ENTRY WAS MADE. 6. EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DOGS AND EQUIPMENT LEFT AT THE SHOW GROUNDS. 7. DOGS ARE TO BE EXERCISED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY, NOT IN VICINITY OF SHOW RINGS 8. ALL REACREATIONAL UNITS WILL HAVE BUCKETS UNDERNEATH FOR THEIR SINK DRAINS. ANYONE FOUND DISCHARGING WATER ON THE GROUNDS WILL BE REMOVED BY ORDER OF THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO A FINE. 9. IF, BECAUSE OF CIVIL DISTURBANCE OR OTHER ACTS BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE CLUB, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN OR COMPLETE THE SHOW, THERE IS NO REFUND OF ENTRY. 10. DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES ON THE SHOW GROUNDS OR WITHIN THE SHOW BUILDING. ALL EXHIBITORS, HANDLERS AND PATRONS ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW AND ABIDE BY THE CKC DOG SHOW RULES SECTION #1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5), and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION #2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows; DOGS COMPETING* 1 2 3 to 5 6 to 9 10 to 12 13 or more POINTS AWARDED 0 1 2 3 4 5 *includes the dog awarded Winners To determine the number of points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all dogs in competition which were defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above. A class dog awarded Best in Show at an all-breed Championship show will be credited with 5 points inclusive of any points earned at the breed or group level. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, shall NOT be included in the calculation for championship points (effective January 1, 2012) (Absentees are not to be included). In order for a dog to be recognized as a Canadian Champion it must: (1) earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges; and (2) be individually registered in the records of the CKC or have a CKC Event Registration Number (ERN) S

SEXUALLY ALTERED CLASSES Eligibility into this class shall be limited to dogs over six months of age which have been sexually altered by veterinary procedure. Points MAY NOT be carried from the regular competition judging to the Altered class judging. This class WILL be judged upon the completion of Best of Breed. Two classes ONLY will be offered as follows: Altered Male or Altered Female Classes will be placed first through fourth in both sexes, the first place winners from each sex will be declared Winners and the second place winner from each sex will be awarded Reserve. The Altered Winners Male and Altered Winners Female will then compete for Best Altered in Breed PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES The Sweepstakes class is open to all Bichon Frise from 6 months to under 12 months regardless of their place of birth. Dogs MUST also be entered in one of the regular classes at this Specialty. Classes will be divided by sex as follows: 6 to 9 months Male/Female, 9 to 12 months Male/Female Fees divided each class: 1st - 20%, 2nd - 15%, 3rd - 10%, 4th - 5%. Best of Opposite Sex-Trophy & 10%, Best in Sweeps - Trophy & 15% SPECIALTY TROPHY LIST Prizes and rosettes will be offered for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Best of Winners, Best Puppy, Winners Male and Female, Reserve Winners Male and Female, Best Stud Dog, Best Brood Bitch, Best Brace, Best Canadian Bred in Breed, 1 st in each class. Rosettes will be offered for 2 nd through 4 th in each Class, Breeder of our BISS winner. Perpetual trophies will also be offered for Best in Specialty, Best Puppy, Best Stud Dog and Best Brood Female.. Perpetual Trophies for BFCC The perpetual trophies will remain in the possession of the Club and a keeper trophy will be given to the winners BEST IN SPECIALTY The Ch.Trevor's Damien 1st Challenge Trophy in memory of Ch.Trevor's Damien 1st BEST CANADIAN BRED IN BREED The Kay Calderbank Memorial Trophy In honour of the late Kay Calderbank [Myworth Kennel ]the BFCC shall award a perpetual trophy for the Best Canadian Bred Bichon Frise entered in the National Specialty BEST PUPPY The Vale Park Perpetual Trophy In appreciation of the late Hilda Murphy for sincere dedication and promotion of the Bichon Frise BEST STUD DOG The Ch. Myworth's Enchantment Perpetual Trophy To the top stud dog at this Specialty. The trophy is donated by Mrs Helen Kasper,'In memory of Kay Calderbank BEST BROOD BITCH The John Drain Perpetual Trophy To the top Brood bitch at this Specialty. AGREEMENT I (we) acknowledge that I (we), all exhibitors, handlers and patrons, know and abide by the CKC Dog Show Rules, and that I am (we are) familiar with their content. I (we) agree that the Club holding this show has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the Club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the Show and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the Auld Lang Syne Dog Association & Renaissance Dog Association, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of a dog while in or upon the show premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim, and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of a dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the Club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this show, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused and whether or not the same may have been caused and whether or not the same may have alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other person.
