This trophy is to remain in the possession of N.E.D.T.C. until retirement. The Alex Memorial Trophy (Silvertone Loving Cup Mounted on a Base) Offered by Eleanor S. Campbell through the New England Dog Training Club, Inc., for competition at its trials only, in memory of Alex, for the dog with the highest Combined Qualifying Scores in the Open B and Utility Classes. Permanent possession shall be awarded to the owner who shall have won it three times, not necessarily with the same dog nor at consecutive trials. This trophy is to remain in the possession of N.E.D.T.C. until retirement and will be appropriately engraved. The George Hanson Award (SP Trophy) Offered by the New England Dog Training Club, Inc., for competition at its Spring Trial, in honor of George Hanson, retired head Trainer, and his more than thirty-five years of helping train novice dogs and trainers. To be awarded outright for the highest Scoring Dog in Novice A. The Theodore W. Sprague Memorial Trophy (SP Trophy) Offered by the New England Dog Training Club, Inc., for competition at its Spring Trial, in honor of Theodore W. Sprague, long time club member, AKC Delegate and board member. To be awarded outright for the Highest Scoring Senior Handler (age 55 or older). ------------------------------- - OBEDIENCE TRIAL TROPHIES A qualifying score is required for all prizes. Dog refers to either sex. Exhibitors are requested to identify themselves if they might qualify for special trophies. Prizes must be claimed on the day of the Trial. Prizes not claimed become the property of NEDTC. NEDTC is not responsible for errors or omissions, and the decision of the trophy chair is final. This Club and its Show Secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or owner s agent entering a dog twice or in a class for which the dog is ineligible to compete. FEES MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES. ENTRY FEES will not be refunded in event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date, nor in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, or excused by the Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by the Bench Show Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete because it is incorrectly entered. If because of riot, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open the show, no refund of entry fee(s) will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, judges, exhibitors and spectators. The well being of dogs and participants is of paramount importance and in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. CONFIRMATION OF ENTRY & JUDGING SCHEDULE will be sent to the address on the Official AKC entry form after the closing date. If an exhibitor has not received a copy of the Judging Schedule the Show Secretary should be contacted. DOGS NEED TO BE AT THE SHOW only at scheduled time of judging and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or their agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. CLOSING DATE for entries 3:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 (at Secretary s Home) after which time entries cannot be accepted, cancelled or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules. A RECORDING FEE of $.50 and $3.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. These fees are included in the entry fee and are to be collected by the Show giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Service Fee is to be collected on the all entries. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). POST DATED CHECKS AND RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check.
