It is part of the instruction in humanitarian law of war. Specific groups receive extended instructions. Information to the civilian population The contents of this amended Protocol have been published in the Bulletin of Treaties and the legislation for approval has been published in the Bulletin of Acts and Decrees. Therefore, both are available to the civilian population. 3

International cooperation on mine clearance (in ) In the year the Netherlands spent approximately 21.4 million EURO on mine action activities. An indicative overview of the Netherlands contributions to mine action (including stockpile-destruction) in the year in EURO is attached below. A part of the Netherlands assistance was provided for the care and rehabilitation, as well as social and economic reintegration of mine victims. The total amount is somewhat higher than in previous years, mostly because of an incidental grant of EURO 4.150.000 to UNMAS Lebanon for mine, UXO and cluster bomb clearance in the aftermath of the Israel Hezbollah conflict of August.
