Adams County 4-H Rabbit Club Double Youth Rabbit Show ALL SHOW A DAY OF SHOW ENTRIES MUST BE IN BY 8:30 AM, Saturday May 4, 2019 South Mountain Fairgrounds 615 Narrows Rd Biglerville, PA 17307 The show will be in an open building to the front of the large auditorium at the rear of the fairgrounds. There will be a kitchen serving a light breakfast and a full lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, sodas, snacks). We will have a silent auction benefiting the 4-H Club during the show. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Auction will end at the end of Show A- Best of Show award. Please NOTE: ALL EXHIBITORS, Penn State 4H is REQUIRING a signed Acknowledgement of Risk for all youth. Please see it with the entry form and send it in with mailed or e-mailed entries or bring it to the show. Extra copies will be available at the show if you forget.

($3.50 if received by 9 PM Saturday, April 27th) Day of Show- Rabbit Entries (PER SHOW): $5.00, fur $1.00 Changes Rabbit Day of Show (PER SHOW): $1.00 for ear number change, $5.00 for changing a rabbit to a different class per show. There is no charge for any changes e-mailed in by 9 PM Thursday night. BREEDS SWEEPSTAKED Californians, Dutch, Harlequin, Holland Lop, Mini Rex, New Zealand, Polish (Please note, Mini Lops are not sanctioned as per the breeders, data will be sent to Brandi Burroughs-Dunn for points purposes) If there s another breed you would like sanctioned and you are willing to pay for the sanction, contact the show secretary at least 2 weeks prior to the show date. Show Rules 1. This show will conform to all ARBA rules. 2. All stock must be permanently & legibly earmarked according to ARBA rules. Rabbits not properly earmarked will be disqualified with no entry fee refunded. Be sure your rabbits are tattooed before the show (they will show better, there will be no stray ink, etc.). 3. Any bad checks must be made good, or the exhibitor will be left off all reports. $20 fee for returned checks. 4. Any stock showing signs of disease will be removed from the show room and entry fee forfeited. 5. No breeding allowed in show room. 6. Exhibitors attempting to or actually interfering with the judges or show committee or acting in a manner unbecoming an exhibitor shall have their stock disqualified and shall be rejected and barred from the show with entry fee forfeited. 7. Parents - You are responsible for your children! PLEASE no running, pushing, screaming or destruction of property. There will be no alcoholic foods or beverages allowed at the show grounds and no use of tobacco products. 8. Adams County 4H Rabbit Club and Adams County 4H will not be responsible in the case of fire, theft, injury, or providential loss, but every precaution will be taken to prevent these losses. 9. In the event there is a dispute over the placement of an animal, whatever is found on the control sheets is considered correct in all instances 10. All rabbits must be owned by a youth between the ages of 5 and 18 (as of Jan.1) and placed on the table by a youth as per ARBA rules. 11. All awards must be picked up the day of the show. No awards will be mailed. 12. The show officials reserved the right to add or substitute judges as deemed necessary. 13. No animals other than rabbits or cavies are permitted in the showroom with the exception of service dogs. 14. No rabbit under 8 weeks of age are sold at the show. Important Information for Parents The Pennsylvania State University is committed to providing a safe environment for all youth participating in activities offered through the University. From Washington, Northern VA and points South: From the Beltway, take I-270 to Frederick, and continue on North on US 15. Cross into Pennsylvania and continue north. Exit at RT 234 - 'Biglerville.' Go west on RT 234 towards Biglerville. Continue through Biglerville towards Arendtsville. At stop sign in Arendtsville, RT 234 continues towards right. Fairground is one mile further down RT 234 on right. From Harrisburg & points North and East: The easiest way is to get on the PA Turnpike(I-76) headed west. Get off at Exit 17 and go south on US Route 15 about 35 miles to exit at RT 234 - 'Biglerville.' Go west on RT 234 towards Biglerville. Continue through Biglerville towards Arendtsville. At stop sign in Arendtsville, RT 234 continues towards right. Fairground is one mile further down RT 234 on right. From Pittsburgh and points West: Take the PA Turnpike (I-76) East to the Blue Mountain Exit 15. Go south on PA Route 997 through beautiful countryside to US Route 30. Turn left on RT 30 and go over the mountain about 8 miles to blinking light at Cashtown. Turn left onto Cashtown road to Arendtsville. At stop sign in Arendtsville, RT 234 continues towards your left (North). Fairground is one mile further down RT 234 on right From Baltimore and Points SouthEast: From the Beltway, take the Northwest Expressway past Owings Mills to the end and continue on MD Route 140 all the way through Westminster, Taneytown, and Emmitsburg. in Emmitsburg, go North onto RT 15. Cross into Pennsylvania and continue north. Exit at RT 234 - 'Biglerville.' Go west on RT 234 towards Biglerville. Continue through Biglerville towards Arendtsville. At stop sign in Arendtsville, RT 234 continues towards right. Fairground is one mile further down RT 234 on right. For your GPS use 615 Narrows Rd Biglerville, PA

Places to Stay Days Inn Gettysburg 865 York Road Gettysburg, PA 17325 Phone: (717) 334-0030 Fax: (717) 337-1002 Camping is available on the fairgrounds $30 per night, you can stay extra nights before/after the show if you want to visit Gettysburg. The hookups are electric only, there is no grey-water dump station. There are places where you can hook up a hose for fresh water from the well on the fairgrounds and there will be a shower and bathrooms available very close to the camping area and in the show barn. Make reservations and payment through the show secretary.
