Show Rules, Regulations and Instructions to Exhibitors 1. The Show will be held under the Rules of the Irish Kennel Club Ltd. As in force on the 1st January 2018 2. Venue Charlestown GAA Complex, Charlestown, Co Mayo on the 17 th September 2018 3. Entry Fee: 8.00 1st dog for First Class, Subsequent entries 4.00per dog per class. (registered to the same owner) Catalogues 3.00 4. Stakes: 5.00 per dog. To enter Stake Class Exhibits must be entered in breed classes. Entries will be received up to the 19 th August 2018 (Postmark). Entries must be completed in ink. Entry Forms : Mistakes in- The Catalogue will be compiled from the Entry Forms submitted by the Exhibitors, and while every endeavour will be made to have the Forms correctly interpreted, the Mid West Canine Club cannot accept any responsibility for mistakes which may bring Exhibitors within the purview of the Irish Kennel Club Ltd Rule 15, Sect. 1, or clerical mistakes that may occur during the compilation. 6. Rejection of Entries: The committee reserve the right to reject any entry, advertisement or other insertion in the Catalogue. 7. Registrations: All dogs entered for competition at this show must be registered at the Irish Kennel Club Ltd, Unit 36, Greenmount Office Park, Dublin 6. Entries for Greyhounds already registered with the Irish Coursing Club will be accepted without further registration. 8. Judges: In the event of the appointed Judge failing to keep his engagement the Committee shall have the right to fill the vacancy thus caused. 9. The Promoting Body will not be responsible for any loss, damage or accident to any person, property or dog in the show or attending same. CLASS DEFINITIONS Baby Puppy Class is confined to puppies of four months of age and under six months of age on the first day of the show. Baby Puppies are confined to this class and may not compete for any other award other than Best Baby Puppy in Show Puppy Class is confined to dogs over 6 and under 12 months of age on the day of the Show Junior Class is confined to dogs over 9 and under 18 months of age on the day of the Show. Open Class is confined to dog over 15 months on the day of the Show. Brace Class is for two exhibits of the same or different sexes of the same breed belonging to the same person, each exhibit having been entered in some class other than brace or team. Stakes Classes are limited to Puppy, Junior, Open, Veteran, Brace, and Champion and are open to more than one breed or variety. All exhibits in stakes classes except for those entered in Veteran Stakes, must be entered in a standard breed class. Restricted / Special Classes (i.e. Colour Classes etc) The dog must be entered in one of the standard classes scheduled for the breed, as above. Junior Diploma Open Shows and Championship Shows. Providing that they are between the age of 6 and 18 months on the day of the show, and win a total of 12 Junior Diploma points for the J.D. Title in the following manner. Open Shows: (1) They are placed 1 st in any class, whether for their Breed if scheduled. Or in any other class within their Group i.e. A.V. Toy etc. or any mixed breed class within their group at Open Show level. Only one class win, per show gaining 1 point. A bonus of 2 points will be awarded if the exhibit wins its Relevant Group on one occasion. (2) Championship Shows: 2 class wins at Championship Shows under 18 months must also be attained, each class win gains 2 points. The Judge/s must sign all awards on the day, giving details of the show and Class/Group won Note Only one class win (1 point Open Show) (2 Points CH. Show) and (One Open Show Group win, 2 points) per show, will count in the total. Multiple wins at one show will not FOULING Carrot; We are very proud of the effort and work that we put into making our show successful and enjoyable for you the exhibitor, please help us and show your appreciation by cleaning up after yourself and your dog. Stick; The IKC rule on fouling will be strickly adhered to. If your dog fouls the venue and you do not clean it up You Will Be Fined 30.00. Littering will also not be tolerated. 2
