SCHEDULE RABBITS 23-30 SEPTEMBER 2017 PERTHROYALSHOW.COM.AU

RABBITS Worldwide there are over 50 recognised breeds and hundreds of varieties of rabbits that fanciers exhibit. Rabbits were introduced to Australia by the First Fleet in 1788 and have a long history as an agricultural animal bred for their meat and fur as well as being popular as a household pet especially with children. Rabbits are highly intelligent, playful and affectionate. From pampered show rabbits to much loved pets, the IGA Perth Royal Show attracts hundreds of entries to the breed and pet rabbit competitions. In the all breed competition, rabbits vie for best in show by age categories with the overall winner named supreme champion. In 2017, the Rabbits Show will be a four star Show. MISSION STATEMENT To showcase the exhibition and responsible ownership of purebred rabbits. COMMITTEE Councillor in Charge Mr K Lawrence Assistant Councillor Mrs B McDonnell Committee Members Mrs A Hawkes, Mr M Page Competition and Event Coordinator Ms A Bentley
