If less than 4 entries are received, the tests will be cancelled. If entries fill, an alternate list will be established. Openings will be filled from the alternate list in the order received. Re-qualifiers will be accepted on a "space available" basis. In other words, untitled dogs will be given first priority even if their entry is received after that of a titled dog. No carts will be provided REGULATIONS This Draft Test is sanctioned by the Working Dog Committee of the Newfoundland Club of America (NCA) and will use the test regulations dated 18 May 1994 and revised April 1, 2015. Entrants are responsible for obtaining and reading the regulations. Copies may be ordered from the Newfoundland Club of America Working Dog Committee for $5.00 at the following address: Dwight Gorsuch, 6282 Burris Rd., Rock Hall, MD 21661. They are also available on the NCA web page - www.ncanewfs.org.

TEST SITE Test Site Description: The draft test rules state that the handler should use equipment suitable for the test terrain. Auburn Recreation District Park is a complex of athletic fields, picnic areas and buildings. The draft tests will be held in a grassy picnic area with many mature trees. They will be headquartered in the covered picnic area. The maneuvering area for both tests will be grassy with gentle slopes. The freight haul for the DD test will follow the walking path around the complex as well as other grassy and paved areas. Practice: Auburn Recreation District Park is open to the public and available for practice. Directions to the test site: From eastbound Interstate 80 in Auburn, take exit 119A Maple St. Keep right at the fork in the ramp to Lincoln Way and then a slight right to Sacramento St. Take the third right at Auburn Folsom Rd. Take the second right to Racetrack St. and then turn left on Recreation Dr. Take the second driveway on the left and stay to the right to get to parking lot E. Parking is free. From I-80 westbound, merge onto CA193/CA49 and take exit 119B towards Placerville/fairgrounds. Turn right on Lincoln Way then the first left onto Auburn Folsom Rd. Turn right on Racetrack St. The remaining directions are the same. ACCOMMODATIONS Motels: There are a number of motels in the Auburn/ Rocklin/Roseville areas that accept well-behaved pets. Check on line for rates and limitations FOOD No Host Dinners Friday November 18: Max s Restaurant and Bar in Auburn Please indicate on the entry form the number in your party attending the dinner so we can make reservations. Morning Hospitality -- A continental type breakfast will be provided for participants, stewards and judges the morning of the test. Lunch -- One free lunch will be provided per entry. Additional lunches are available for purchase at the price of $10.00 each. You must pre-purchase any additional lunches by indicating the number needed at the bottom of the Entry Form and enclosing a check for the proper amount. Do not assume that we will have additional lunches available for those of you who do not pre-order. There are no food concessions at the test site. PHOTOGRAPHS: Photographs will be available on line after the test. DONATIONS: Donations will be gratefully accepted at any time and will be acknowledged in the catalog if received by November 12, 2016. Please send donations to the DD test secretary. CATALOG ADVERTISING The format will be 8.5 X 11. Catalog ads help offset the costs of the test and would be an excellent place to advertise your Newfy items or your kennel. Bragging is welcome, or wish your friends good luck. Copy must be camera ready unless prior arrangements have been made. The catalog will be printed in black and white. AGREEMENT I (we) acknowledge that the NCA test regulations have been made available to me (us) and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents, or test secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises or grounds and the employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the test premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim or loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be it caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person or any other causes.
