NEWFOUNDLAND CLUB OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA JULY WATER TESTS July 28 & 29, 2012 (two tests) Cohen/Vroegryk Pond, Lincoln, California NCA APPROVED Closing date for entries: 6:00 PM, Saturday, July 14, 2012 No entries postmarked before Monday, June 11 will be accepted. Entry limit: 30 each day in both junior and senior divisions combined. Entries over the limit will be placed on a list of alternates. Dogs earning titles in junior division at each test MAY post-enter senior division on the same day and may move up to senior division on Sunday if they pass junior on Saturday. Re-qualifiers: Re-qualifiers will be accepted as space allows and will be judged last in their class. Dogs may be entered in more than one division on the same day but only if they have already qualified at previous tests in all of the divisions entered. Re-qualifiers in junior division may not postenter senior division. Check the appropriate boxes on the entry form for the class(es) entered. If the entry for the test exceeds its limit and a lottery is necessary the dog may not get into each division entered. There will be no substitutions for dogs to change divisions if their entry is chosen for one division but not the other in a lottery. Judges must excuse any dog not in condition to finish the division entered and, if so, the dog will not be able to continue in any other division entered that day. Entry fees will not be refunded for dogs that are excused. Entrants are discouraged from pushing their dogs beyond their limits. Entry fees each day $40.00; $30 for post-entries. For dogs with WRDs requalifying in both junior and senior divisions on the same day, the entry fee is $70.00 each day. All fees are payable to the NEWFOUNDLAND CLUB OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA or NCNC. TEST SITE The Cohen/Vroegryk Pond has a gradually sloping shoreline. Swimming depth is approximately 12 feet from shore. The bottom is gravel and/or silt. There is limited shade in the picnic area so bring your own. Insect repellant is also recommended. DIRECTIONS TO TEST SITE (3255 Gladding Rd., Lincoln, CA) From I-80 at the east side of Roseville, exit north on Hwy 65. Stay on 65 until it becomes a narrower street and passes through the town of Lincoln. Just past the Gladding McBean factory, turn right on Gladding Rd. Follow Gladding until about ¼ mi. past the stop sign. The shared driveway is on the left and the site is on the left near the end of the gravel driveway. Californnia ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PRE-TEST PRACTICE: Participants may practice at the test site starting at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 27 and after the conclusion of judging on July 28. FOOD Dinners: A no-host pretest dinner is planned for Friday evening around 6:30 pm at a restaurant in Lincoln to be determined. Please indicate the number planning to attend on the entry form. Currently no organized dinner is planned for Saturday night. Day of test lunch: All entrants will be provided lunch on the day they are tested at no charge. Additional lunches may be purchased for $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child. Please indicate on the back of your entry blank the number of additional lunches you will need and include your payment with your entry fees. These lunches must be pre-ordered! WHERE TO STAY There are a number of motels in the area (Lincoln, Rocklin and Roseville) that accept well behaved pets. You can find them by searching online.
