We adopted Luden from Logan's Heroes in August 2016. We were uncertain of his breed and had a doggie DNA test done. It turns out that Luden is a Staffordshire Terrier/Samoyed/ CockerSpaniel/ Shepherd mix! He is a beautiful boy with the most loving personality. He will be 1 year old in early June! Sasha is a little sweetheart - she loves to have her picture taken. We got Sasha from a farm in Shippensburg. It was hard to only pick one picture of her, but this one was just too cute to pass up. Marsha East Greenville, PA

Jackson was a rescue from Logan's Heroes. He has been with us since May 2015 and has come such a long way. He is friendly to everyone and everyone loves him. He actually rescued us from the loss of our Sammy in 2015- those are not just words. Mary Waterbury, CT

Kippy was rescued when he was approximately 5 years old. Since my father was retired they were always together. Kippy would always run around the house and bark when Pop mowed the lawn. So my father hooked up a little trailer so they could mow the lawn together. Kippy would see the trailer come out and jump around excitedly. Once his crate was secured he would run and jump into it. Granted the stops for water made it a longer day, but neither cared. They had many happy hours mowing the lawn. Sue, Coopersburg, PA

We adopted Maverick, formerly Rocky, in April of 2016. Maverick enjoys long walks, talking to his stuffed toys, and relaxing in dry empty bathtubs. He is the smartest dog we've ever encountered, and he completes our household. He brings so much love and happiness to our lives and we are so grateful to Logan's Heroes for rescuing him! Tuna rescued us from a group called "Recycled Russells" 13 years ago. She is a people dog as you can see from the picture. She always wants to be with you and will imitate what you are doing - if she can - as you can tell by the way she sits in the deck chair. Janet East Greenville, PA

Liam was adopted by our family in August, 2016 from Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue. He is a spunky, Lab/Husky/Pit mix that loves to talk to us! He is an avid runner and enjoys trail running with his humans. A dip in the creek, after a run, is an added bonus. He enjoys frisbee and playing with his cat friend, Odin. Dexter (aka "Dexter Get Down!") came to us through Logan's Heroes in December, 2017. He easily adapted to living with his new cat family of three. His antics are endearing and his presence in our home has brought us much joy. This picture was taken when he took a short break from his kitten reign of terror. Amanda Lehighton, PA

2017 has been a year of growth and change for our organization which was made possible because of support from our Donors, Volunteers, Fosters and Adopters. We are now able to help rescue horses and have actually been able to save three for the price of one. Mia and Liberty were rescued from a kill pen bound for slaughter. We did not know at the time that Mia was actually pregnant. She gave birth to a healthy foal on April 26, 2017 which we named Mirielle which means miracle. Because of the addition of horses, our volunteer base has also grown. We have added fencing to the farm and by the end of 2017 we hope to add more pasture for the horses and raise funds for two auto waterers. We have five of our rescue puppies in training with Tails of Valor to become service dogs for Veterans, and four other Logan's Heroes Alumni have graduated the program and been paired with Veterans already. Logan's Heroes also now is able to have a small store for adopters to purchase food, leashes, collars, crates and toys for their newly adopted family members. All the proceeds from the sales go directly back into the rescue to help our animals. Our projects for 2018 include applying for a grant for the Pig Pen Project. This is to renovate and refurbish an existing pig pen on the property so we can provide safe and secure housing for pot belly pigs in the future. We also plan to fix up the lower level of the barn to use it as a conference area and training center. As our organization continues to grow the requests to help even more animals also increases. We cannot help them without your support as Donors, Fosters, Adopters and Volunteers. Find out more about how you can make a difference by visiting our website www.lharinc.org Chris Baringer & Shasta
