Rescue update: We recently placed Sasha into her forever home. Sasha was a 6yo female that came to us from another rescue in PA that takes in unwanted/older breeding dogs from puppy mills. Sasha was fostered by Babs and Dan Winicur, where she learned house manners and basic obedience. She loved her foster brother Merlin and amused the Winicurs with her antics, such as hauling her crate blanket out the doggie door for a little tug-of-war with Merlin or making snow angels. Sasha was adopted by a family in Baltimore, where she has a Berner brother named Bosley. According to her new parents, Sasha and Bosley adore each other and like to hang out on the bed. She has even learned to come down the scary basement stairs to spend time with her family in the evenings. Upcoming Rescue Events: Delaware DogFest - April 18; 10am - 2pm; St. Anthony in the Hills, Avondale, PA Dog's Day in the Park - May 16; 10am - 3pm; John Rudy Park, York, PA; general club meeting Both of these events are dog-friendly with many activities for you and your dog to participate in. To Brenda Many people sent in memories of Brenda to be shared with her family and friends. Here is one: Dear Brenda; I said good-bye to you today; it was hard, but I m better for it because I knew you. I will always have fun at Specialties, because that s how I knew you. I will raise a glass with friends, sometimes where I shouldn t, because that s how I knew you. I will laugh, sometimes a little too loud, because that s how I knew you. I will remember how sweet someone blushing is because that s how I knew you. I will cherish my friendship with my own mom, because that s how I knew you. I will love my dogs a little more, because that s why I knew you. I will try to be positive, happy, and smile because that s why as a friend I loved you. I will be a better person simply because I knew you. Mike Lella
