After a very successful show last year our club was invited back by The Twin Tier Poultry to have our 2018 show the same weekend and same place (Stueben County fairgrounds, Bath, NY) as their show. There will be two separate shows - The Buffalo & WNY Poultry Club will hold their show Saturday, September 10th and the Twin Tier Poultry Club will hold their show on Sunday, September 11th. A great opportunity to increase your chance for points! General Information Classes will be provided for Large Fowl, Bantams, Waterfowl, Turkeys and Guinea Fowl. All fowl in the show building must be PULLORUM-TYPHOID FREE and a copy of your current certificate stating this must accompany all entries. Birds in sales cages must also comply with this rule. Birds may be cooped on Friday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm and 7:00 AM on the day of the show. All entries must be cooped by 8:30am. Any birds cooped after this time will be on display only and not judged. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00am - APA & ABA Standards. Birds will be released when awards presentation is complete. PLEASE DO NOT COOP OUT UNTIL THE ANNOUNCEMENT TO DO SO IS GIVEN. The decision of the judges is final. The show committee will act upon any circumstances not covered by these rules. The B&WNY Club will not be responsible for any awards not sponsored by our club. Only judges, clerks and owners will be allowed to handle birds in the show. NO TELEPHONE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO SUBSTITUTIONS OR CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE SHOW. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR EXCEPTIONS. Please be specific on your entries as to single-comb, rose comb, bearded, non-bearded, large fowl, bantam, etc. Any questions will cost you a collect telephone call. The club reserves the right to refuse any sick or unhealthy entries. The B&WNY Club will take every precaution against lost or stolen birds, but will not be held responsible should any instance occur. Runner Ducks will be ring judged and must be properly banded and exhibitors should be present to assist in handling of birds. Burmaster Memorial Trophy This trophy is offered in memory of Charles N. Burmaster, a favorite son of western New York poultry fanciers. Charlie was a friend and mentor to many and one of the best judges ever. A plaque for Grand Champion of the Show is
displayed each year and a memento of the award is offered by Paul Kroll. The plaque itself will be kept by the Association until it is won three times by the same exhibitor. We need to be especially careful to protect our birds. There will be a 50-50 raffle and a donated items raffle held by Twin Tier both days. Food will be available at the show. Outdoor sales will be available both days through Twin Tier. Hotel information A block of rooms have been reserved at the Days Inn in Bath. Mention the poultry club and receive a reduced rate. To get reduced rate reservations must be made by Aug 5th.
