A DOG EXCUSED BY THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT OR VETERINARIAN FOR ANY REASON SHALL NOT, COMPETE IN ANY CLASS FOR ANY AWARDS FOR BALANCE OF THE SHOW. 3. THE SHOW COMMITTEE WILL USE DUE CARE AND DILIGENCE FOR THE WELFARE OF DOGS AND EXHIBITORS, BUT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, OR ASSUME ANY LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENT OR MISFORTUNE TO EITHER DOGS, EXHIBITORS, SPECTATORS OR VENDORS. 4. DOGS MUST BE ON THE GROUNDS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE JUDGING OF THEIR BREED. 5. THE OWNER OF A DOG ENTERED IN THESE SHOWS IS ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERROR IN ENTERING HIS/HER DOG REGARDLESS OF HOW OR BY WHOM ENTRY IS MADE 6. EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DOGS AND EQUIPMENT LEFT AT THE SHOW GROUNDS. 7. DOGS TO BE EXERCISED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY, NOT IN VICINITY OF RINGS 8. ALL RECREATIONAL UNITS WILL HAVE BUCKETS UNDERNEATH FOR THEIR SINK DRAINS. ANYONE FOUND DISCHARGING WATER ON THE GROUNDS WILL BE REMOVED BY ORDER OF THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO A FINE. 9. IF, BECAUSE OF CIVIL DISTURBANCE OR OTHER ACTS BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE CLUB, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN OR COMPLETE THE SHOW, NO REFUND OF ENTRY. 10. DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES ON THE SHOW GROUNDS OR WITHIN THE SHOW BUILDING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE OBEDIENCE RINGS. ALL EXHIBITORS, HANDLERS AND PATRONS ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW AND ABIDE BY THE CKC DOG SHOW RULES CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION #1. A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5), and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. SECTION #2. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows; DOGS COMPETING* 1 2 3 to 5 6 to 9 10 to 12 13 or more POINTS AWARDED 0 1 2 3 4 5 *includes the dog awarded Winners To determine the number of points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all dogs in competition which were defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above. A class dog awarded Best in Show at an all-breed Championship show will be credited with 5 points inclusive of any points earned at the breed or group level. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, shall not be included in the calculation for championship points (Absentees are not to be included). In order for a dog to be recognized as a Canadian Champion it must: (1) earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges; (2) a two point win awarded either at the breed or group level; and (3) be individually registered in the records of the CKC or have a CKC Event Registration Number (ERN)

CONFORMATION PRIZE LIST Through the generosity of its members and friends, the Standard Schnauzer Club of Canada (Western Division) will offer suitable prizes/trophies and/or rosettes/ribbons for the following awards: BEST OF BREED, BEST OPPOSITE SEX, BEST PUPPY IN BREED, BEST BABY PUPPY IN BREED, BEST OF WINNERS, WINNERS MALE, RESERVE WINNERS MALE, WINNERS FEMALE, RESERVE WINNERS FEMALE, VETERAN MALE, VETERAN FEMALE, BEST BRACE, BEST STUD DOG, BEST BROOD MATRON, BEST VETERAN IN SPECIALTY, BEST CANADIAN-BRED IN SPECIALTY, A suitable prize and/or rosette will be awarded for First Place in all regular classes. A rosette/ribbon and/or suitable prize will be offered for Second through Fourth Place in all Regular classes. Note: The person handling the exhibit in the ring shall be recognized as the owner or agent for the owner, and delivery of any prize won shall consitiute full delivery of the prize to the rightful owner. ALL PRIZES MUST BE CLAIMED AT THE SHOW NO PRIZES WILL BE MAILED ENTRY FEES (HST Included) Regular Class Entry $25.00 Each Additional Class (same dog $14.00 Baby Puppy Class (3 months and under 6 months) $12.00 Junior Puppy Class (6 months and under 9 months) $18.00 Veterans Class (competitive) $18.00 Exhibition Only (Non-competitive, catalogue listing) $ 8.00 Juvenile or Veteran Sweepstakes Classes $12.00 Unofficial and Non-Regular Classes (Stud Dog, Brood Matron) $14.00 Brace Class (per dog) $ 7.50 Listing Fee (if not CKC individually reg'd or issued ERN number) $ 9.40 Pre-Ordered Catalogue (per copy) $ 5.00 Conformation Classifications The following Regular CKC Classes (divided by sex) will be offered BABY PUPPY CLASS- This class shall be for Std.Schnauzer puppies 3 months of age and under 6 months of age on the day of the Specialty. (Note: dogs entered in this class DO NOT COMPETE for points). JUNIOR PUPPY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog 6 months of age and under 9 months of age on the day of the show SENIOR PUPPY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog 9 months of age and under 12 months of age on the day of the show 12 to 18 MONTH CLASS - For dogs 12 months & under 18 months on the day of this Specialty CANADIAN BRED CLASS - This class shall be for any dog born in Canada. (Champions of any country excluded) BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS - This class shall be for any dog owned and handled in the ring owner/breeder. The handler MUST be the owner/co-owner AND breeder/co-breeder of the dog. The owner/breeder must handle the dog at the class level, but need not handle the dog for further awards OPEN CLASS - This class shall be for all dogs SPECIALS ONLY CLASS - This class shall be for any dog, which has a recorded CKC Registration or Event Registration Number and has attained the required points for Championship status. Note: A Listed dog MAY be moved to the Specials Only Class after the closing of entries, provided the CKC Individual or Event Registration Number was received prior to the first day of the show. The request to move a class dog to the Specials Only Class MUST be received by the Show Secretary ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE SHOW ON THE DAY CONCERNED. Listing Fees WILL NOT be refunded EXHIBITION ONLY - All dogs entered in this class shall be listed in the catalogue with the same particulars as dogs entered in regular competition. Dogs entered in this class MAY NOT COMPETE in any Regular class but may enter and compete in Non-Regular classes and/or Parades ONLY

ADDITIONAL REGULAR SPECIALTY CLASSES The following additional regular classes will be offered at this Specialty: VETERANS CLASS - For dogs 7 years of age and older on the day of this Show. Dogs entered in this class DO NOT COMPETE FOR POINTS (This class will be divided into 3 age divisions 7 to 9 yrs, 10 & 11 yrs and 12+ yrs. Winners of each class will carry through to compete for Best of Breed) PLEASE NOTE: SPAYED OR NEUTERED DOGS MAY COMPETE IN THIS CLASS PLEASE NOTE: SPAYED OR NEUTERED DOGS MAY COMPETE IN THIS CLASS ADDITIONAL NON-REGULAR/UNOFFICIAL SPECIALTY CLASSES The following unofficial/non-regular classes will be offered at this Specialty: BRACE CLASS - Shall be for two dogs SIRE & GET - Shall comprise the Sire and two or more of his Get (Note: Get MUST be entered in a Regular class) DAM & PROGENY - Shall have all the same requirements as the Sire & Get Class (Note: Progeny MUST be entered in a Regular class ********************************************************************** TROPHY DONATIONS The Standard Schnauzer Club of Canada (Western Division) will gratefully accept your donations to our trophy fund. All dogs MUST be entered in a regular class or for Exhibition Only. CLASSES WILL BE DIVIDED BY SEX AS FOLLOWS: 7 to 10 years Male/Female, 10 years & over Male/Female Rosettes will be awarded for 1st in all classes. A participant rosette will be awarded to all other entrants. PRIZES: Best Veteran in Sweepstakes - 30% of total fees collected and rosette, Runner-Up in Sweepstakes - 25% of total fees collected and rosette, 1st in each class - 5% of total fees collected and rosette. Balance of 25% to be retained by the club to defray costs *********************************************************************

EXTRACTS FROM THE CONFORMATION SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS CHAPTER 4.1.3 - JUDGES A judge officiating at a show held under these rules shall not be subjected to any indignities of any kind during the progress of the show, and it shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see this rule is effectively enforced. CHAPTER 8 - ENTRIES and ENTRY FEES Section 8.3.1 Every dog entered in Championship Shows held under these rules must be registered, have an Event Registration Number, eligible for registration with the CKC or have a CKC Miscellaneous Class Certification number issued by the CKC Chief Registrar. If a dog is not registered individually in the CKC it may be entered at a show, held under these rules, as a listed dog, provided (a) it is not a Miscellaneous breed (b) if born in Canada, is eligible for individual registration (c) if foreign born and owned, an Event Registration Number or CKC registration number is obtained from the CKC within 30 days of the first show entered. A listing fee of $9.40 must accompany the entry of a listed dog at a show held under these rules. Section 8.2: INCOMPLETE ENTRIES Entry forms which are incomplete or those that contain incorrect information after the closing date of entries will be void and under no circumstances can changes be made. Any dog taking a win resulting from such an entry will result in the wins being cancelled. Section 8.6.2: DISHONORED CHEQUES Tendering of a dishonored cheque or credit card in payment of entry fees shall be considered non-payment of entry fees.clubs may refuse to accept entries from any exhibitor who have been known to tender dishonored cheques in payment of entry fees unless such entries are accompanied by a money order, cash or certified cheque. CHAPTER 14 - DISQUALIFICATION Section 14.1.4 A dog once disqualified for any reason at a Championship show held under these rules cannot again be shown or entered at a show held under these rules unless and until said dog has been reinstated by the CKC. All awards earned by a dog shown in violation of this section will be cancelled by the CKC and the owner of said dog is subject to disciplinary action. Note: for any further information on reinstatement refer to Chapter 14, Section 3 of the Conformation Show Rules and Regulations CHAPTER 5 SHOW OFFICIALS Section 5.1.5 A show-giving club will be held responsible during the show for the conduct of exhibitors and spectators. Any person acting in an abusive or objectionable manner must be removed from the show on complaint to the Show Superintendent.
