ENTRY FEES Entry of each dog in an official class, per obedience or rally trial $ 30.00 Day of trial entry, each dog, per obedience or rally trial $ 35.00 Entry in an Unofficial Class (Brace or Team) $ 15.00 Exhibition Only $ 10.00 Listing Fee per dog $ 11.30 Prepaid Catalogue $ 3.00 All fees are in Canadian funds. A listing fee is payable for all dogs entered at shows who do not have an individual CKC registration number, an ERN, or a PEN. LIMITED ENTRY Entry is limited to a total of 7 hours of judging, at a rate of 9 Pre-Novice, 8 Novice, 7 Open, and 6 Utility dogs per hour in the Obedience trial and 15 dogs per hour (less time for walk-throughs) in the Rally Obedience trial. Once the judge has reached his or her capacity, entries for the trials will be closed, even if the closing date has not been reached. In the case of the entry limit having been reached, remaining entries will be assigned a position on the reserve list. Exhibitors will be notified of their position on the reserve list. If the entry of a bitch in season is pulled after entries are closed, it may be substituted with one from the reserve list up to and including the day of the trial. If the entry of another dog is pulled prior to the trial, it may be substituted with one from the reserve list up to 24 hours prior to the trial. UNOFFICIAL CLASSES Brace and Team classes will be offered at this obedience trial. All dogs entered in these unofficial classes must be entered in one of the official classes or Exhibition Only. These classes are open to dogs which have earned the title of CD or higher. Rules and judging procedure will be as outlined in Sections 16.6 and 16.7 of the Obedience Trial and Rally Trial Rules and Regulations, January 2018.

A limited number of catalogues will be available for sale at the trials for a price of $ 5.00. ATTENTION FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian funds. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared through the banks. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. 5. Alterations, substitution, or cancellation of any entry after the closing date is prohibited. 6. Only dogs which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for registration can be entered. 7. The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC Rules. 8. ENTRIES POSITIVELY CLOSE WEDNESDAY JULY 25, 2018, AT 8:00 PM. 9. IDENTIFICATION CARDS AND JUDGING SCHEDULES WILL BE SENT BY EMAIL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE ENTRIES CLOSE. Identification cards must be presented to the Show Secretary upon arrival at the show. 10.Tendering of an NSF cheque in payment of fees shall be considered non-payment of fees and is punishable by disciplinary action. Any NSF cheque will be subject to a $25.00 service charge.
GENERAL INFORMATION 1. The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show, which will be governed by CKC rules. 2. The Ontario Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume liability, in the event of accident, or other misfortunes, to either dogs, exhibitors, or patrons. 3. If, because of riot, civil disturbance, or other acts beyond the control of management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of Entry Fees will be made. 4. The show precincts shall be the ring and 10 feet in all directions from the outer edge of the ring. It shall be the duty and obligation of the trial-giving club to see that a judge, club official, ring steward, volunteer, or competitor at a Show held under these regulations, is not subject to indignities of any kind. The Show Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. STATEMENT OF PRIVACY Personal information which is provided to Danuta Booth, Show Secretary, will only be used for the purposes required by the Canadian Kennel Club and voluntarily submitted to us upon completion of an entry form. No personal information will be disclosed for purposes other than intended without consent or required by law. TROPHY LIST Through the generosity of its members and friends, the Ontario Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club will offer the following at the Obedience Trial: High in Trial- Trophy and Rosette, 1 st in each Class Trophy and Rosette 2 nd to 4 th in each Class Rosette and Prize 1 st in Brace & Team - Rosette The club will offer the following at the Rally Obedience Trial: 1 st in each Class Trophy and Rosette 2 nd to 4 th in each Class Rosette and Prize A trophy will be offered for High Scoring Toller in the Obedience Trial and for High Scoring Toller in the Rally Obedience Trial. All Tollers who qualify in either the obedience or Rally trial will receive a prize. New Title Rosettes will be offered for all dogs who complete a CKC obedience or rally title at these trials. HANDY TOLLER AWARD The purpose of this award is to demonstrate the working ability of Tollers and to reward those giving an outstanding performance in a variety of official events on the weekend of the Ontario NSDTR Club s Specialty. To qualify for this award, a Toller must be entered in a minimum of 3 Events. Events are to include Field, Agility, and either Obedience or Rally obedience. The Award will be presented upon completion of Sunday s program to the Toller with the most points..
JUNIOR HANDLING Entries for Obedience Junior Handling will be taken on the day of the trial. There is no entry fee, but the dog must be entered in one of the official classes at the obedience trial that day. Junior Handling will be judged after completion of the Licensed Obedience trial, and before the start of the Rally Obedience Trial. EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER Effective Jan. 1/92, all dogs that are foreign born and foreign owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC events will no longer require a CKC registration number but will require an Event Registration Number (ERN). The ERN MUST be applied for within 30 days of the first day of entering a CKC event. Fee is $58.50 per dog after January 1, 2012, plus applicable taxes. New CKC Non Member Participation Fee a) A non member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non-member of CKC. b) The non member participation fee is paid in any year a title is earned and covers all titles and dogs owned by that individual. c) In order for the title to be awarded, the non member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the non member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. d) All Premium List will carry a note stating that these fees apply only to dogs wholly owned by non member residents of Canada and are not applicable to CKC members. HOSPITALITY Parking and grounds are under the supervision of Red Barn Event Centre and Show Committee. Stoop & scoop. Dogs must be on leash. Snack Bar will be open for Lunch during the show. RAFFLES There will be raffles each day throughout the weekend. Raffle donations always welcome to one of the Committee or at the Raffle table. Overnight RV/Motorhome Parking & Camping: Limited sites available (approx. 25 total between serviced & un-serviced). 30 amp service on Red Barn parking lot, cost is $35 + HST per day. Un-serviced sites are $20 + HST per day. RV s or motorhomes may be bought in Thusday or Friday and can leave either Sunday evening once it is safe to do so, or Monday morning. Move in/out arrangements MUST be made ahead of time. Overnight tenting must also be arranged and pre- paid ($25 + HST for the weekend).
The washroom trailer, portable toilets and onsite shower will be open for campers all weekend. There will also be a fenced in off leash area. Anyone using this area must be respectful of other users an ensure that they pick up after their dogs and do NOT leave them unsupervised. We request that NO dogs be exercised off leash anywhere on the property except in this off leash area.
