NANCY=S NOTES Hello Brevard Feed and Seed Customers, Check out our Website at brevardfeed.com 7-1-18 We ve got a lot going on, the weather is changing, and several new items to talk about: It might be trying to get Hot! With that in mind, we are always talking about proper hydration both for you and your animals. Next time you are in let us help you with this. We are definitely getting enough rain. This has been a needed blessing with side effects. We will be addressing these issues later on in the newsletter. With the changing of feed companies and the reformulating of feeds, it has been a little challenging to be comfortable with the feed selections. With those concerns in mind, we have feed conversion/comparison charts to help you compare the appropriate feed choices. You can compare the feed analysis and the costs on several feeds. Baby Chicks - We have chicks at different ages. They are the better of the egg producing breeds of chickens. You can have 1 or 100, it doesn t matter. We have all the supplies you need to get you started. Still have a few Turkeys New Chicken Coops to see. All weather protected! Ok folks, I know that I always talk about the deworming issue. Now is the prime time and the perfect scenario of events to get you to pay a little closer attention to your animals. We have been in such a dry season for so long. Now we are getting a surplus of rain, the

grass is growing, and the parasites are on the move. The result is that are animals are going to needs us to help them get through the next few weeks. Pay attention to their eating habits and their bathroom breaks. A remember, you will not see the worms only the difference in your animal s behavior. If you are not sure consult your vet, otherwise we carry the items that you need. Many of you are coming in with issues of flies, fleas, ticks and even rats. The pests are really bad right now and are getting worst with the wet weather. We can help with ALL of these issues. Stop by and let us help. We have some GREAT new items in for the Fly and Rodent issues. When we talk about the heat and proper hydration, there are many aspects to that thought process. Cooling, muscle cramping, proper nutrition, non-sweaters, mineral balance and intake, and even the low starch diets. All of this depends on the animal and his situation. No reason for worry, just take normal maintenance steps and be wise. We can help with many of these concerns with many different animals. In preparation for the Big Bang s 4 th of July, we carry a gluten free calming stress and anxiety support tablet for dogs. It works well during thunder storms as well. Sorry to bring this up, it is Hurricane Season. We carry some of the identification tags for marking your livestock. Next time you re in we can talk about it and make a plan so that you are ready in advance of a storm!
