Obedience Information Obedience will be in the SOTC building on mats. Classes offered: Regular Optional Titling Non-Regular Wild Card Utility A/B Beginner Novice A/B Sub-Novice Utility Open CDX A/B Grad Novice Brace Open CDX Open ODX A/B Seniors Open ODX Novice A/B Versatility Novice Obedience entries are limited to 8 total hours of judging. Judging begins with the Utility classes. Group exercises will follow individual exercises in each regular class. Group exercises may be combined at each level at the discretion of the judge. Non-regular classes will follow, with group exercises following individual exercises. Bitches in season are not permitted to compete. Enter on the new official ASCA Obedience entry form. Individual exercises will run in catalog order as well as jump height order as much as possible. Be sure to read the updated Obedience rules regarding new classes and Veteran provisions. Conflicts: Notify ring steward of any conflicts before the start of the class. Refunds: Withdrawal for any reason before entries close will be eligible for a full refund. Withdrawal after entries close because of sickness or a dog coming in season are eligible for a full refund. Withdrawals on the day of the show are not eligible for a refund. Classes offered will be: Regular Masters A/B/C Excellent A/B/C Non-Regular Team Relay (Advanced course) Brace (Advanced course) Advanced A/B/C Novice A/B/C Judging will begin with the Masters classes. Non-regular classes will follow regular classes. Non-regular entries will only be accepted if the trial has not filled with regular entries. All dogs are eligible for Team or Brace regardless of their titles. The Brace class shall be for braces of dogs of the same breed that are eligible under ASCA Rules and Regulations and capable of performing the Advanced exercises. The dogs need not be owned by the same person, but must be handled by one (1) handler. Dogs may be shown unattached or coupled (the coupling device to be not less than six (6) inches over- all length); whichever method is used must be continued throughout all exercises. A separate Official Entry Form must be completed in full for each dog entered. Bitches in season are not permitted to compete. Enter on the official ASCA Rally entry form. This is an actual trial (not a match) and dogs of all breeds are eligible for titles. Dogs with titles or legs in other registries must begin at the novice level in ASCA. Crating and grooming space is availa-ble near the conformation ring. NO CHALKING is permitted inside of the building. Crates must be able to be stacked if necessary, and no exercise pens will be permitted indoors. There is ample parking space provided, but limited grassy area. All exhibitors are required to clean up behind their dogs. Absolutely no dogs may be left in the building overnight. There will be food available on site. Located near Carrier Circle, there is easy access to Syracuse Hancock International Airport. RV camping is available on a very limited basis. No hookups are provided.
